The expectation of Pakistan from CPEC is a valid query. Why would a country go for such un-viable projects with high interest dollar loan and no competitive bidding for construction? One would wonder whether Pakistan has a deep macro-economic thinking capability to estimate the risks associated with CPEC. And now after so many expensive power plant construction, Pakistanis find electricity unaffordable and Pakistani Govt finds itself in a debt trap. Unfortunately the interviewee does not seem to have any idea too.
