As a kid, I thought the Wayfarer was an absolutely huge boat. We had sailed Mirror dinghies since I was 7 years old and met a family at Bala lake one summer with a Wayfarer. I spent much of the week sailing with them in their boat... a mom, dad and three kids in all - and there still seemed plenty of room. I remember driving my dad crackers for one but settled for a GP14 a few years later. Funny to look back at the Wayfarer 50+ years later and see how childhood perceptions change.
I'm the same. After Graduates and Enterprises the Wayfarer felt like a big, substantial boat. Unfortunately, my lifestyle and sailing took divergent paths after that so it remains the biggest I ever sailed. I'l always remember how secure it felt in the choppy estuary I used, and the effortless handling.
Hi Woody, hope you are well, lovely vid, really enjoyed the trip. Great to be able to hear your chat and what was going on. It really makes a difference having a bit of commentary as a wannabe sailor. Hopefully the lifting of lockdown will mean more vids soon, atb and keep on keeping on.

You’re very lucky to have such amazing places to sail to. So with those huge tides, how long do you get before you run out of water
HI, we get about 5 hours total on the Thames estuary, depending on launch location..
Hi! How you tensione the genoa hallyard? I cant see on video. Beautifull place! Thank you!
Update, ok, I think I just seen a highfield lever, ok?
Hi Antonio, the Genoa halyard is wire and it is tensioned via a highfeld lever. K.R Woody.
