Love the frame and setup. The colors is another story. Its 50 shades of orange. My OCD doesn't like that. Other than that, great build, and like to see more hardtails !
I would agree looks awesome, but the chainring doesn’t match the other orange bits, I would of kept that black I think the other bits were close enough

Hi Gee! Around 6:11 I see that you still use the traditional derailleur hanger. Would you think the new direct mount SRAM T-Type would also fit? (I know Kona makes a dropout part that’s exactly the same, but without the hanger for single speed).
Nearly bought one of these factory built. Couldn't get one in my size for love nor money. Ended up getting a Titus Loco Moto.
They seem really popular so far.
What is that particular insert into the headset expander? I've never seen a headset this way!

Looks sick! Got a transfer post in mines. Can't find the sweet spot. Either too tight and won't drop or too loose and keeps sinking.

So i am not new to mountain bikes but i just recently had a barn built for a small “Mountain Bike Shop” and i have started doing most of my repairs. so i was curious on why you use a more gritty grease for the handle bars. is it just so they don’t rotate in the stem or what is the reasoning for that. Thanks
It's to add extra friction. You would mainly use it if you have carbon fiber bars, (like in the video) which often have lower torque specs for clamping onto as they are much more easily crushed by over tightened clamps than alloy bars. That being said using it never hurts no matter what material bars you have - I believe its most common name is assembly paste. Otherwise just putting nothing on the clamping surface works fine, using regular grease will only reduce friction and make your bars more likely to move.

@@GeeMilner Each to their own I guess :-) I still like the video. I've had a 2 34s and I swopped them out and always thought it felt like an upgrade even though one of them was not price wise. Fox is also a nightmare to get serviced my side of the world. I don't even look at OEM Builds now with Fox Forks. Pike all the way, but I should probably try a 36 one day! Maybe I come eat my words here!!! Love the channel as always.
