I will bet money that it will be good for the first 24 hours then will completely break down in to an unplayable mess, just like every patch that has been rushed out.
Honestly, yeah. First time in a while where we've had to start over. If they *fingers crossed* fix the server instability issues currently in EPTU to a reasonable amount, this could be an absolute banger of a patch. I've already got a bunch of "Insurance Fraud" events planned for my org to make cash back asap via salvage. Gotta fund the combat guys' torp spamming in their Polaris.
I like wipes too. I normally end up finding a grind I like and get a surplus of money. Though this surplus has gone to funding polaris repairs and rearming. But with the wipe itll give me something to work on again.
Same here. My inventory is cluttered with old gear, default gear, attachements by the dozens, ships I dont use anymore that I bought in-game just to check them out. Starting fresh is gonna be fun. Cant wait to see the new economy too.
Reminds me of the Tie Striker mixed with an Interceptor, black paint is going to sell this ship. Honestly it could be a pig and I think it'll be one that never leaves my fleet BUT then again I've said that four times.
Why add Alien Tax. Mirai isn't an alien brand. Nor is it's parent company MISC. MISC just has a technology sharing contract with the X'ian because the X'ian love the MISC Hull-series of ships.
@joelellis7035 Not how that works, but I'm not going to waste my time arguing with someone on the internet. Heavy fighters range from $200-300 on the website. If it doesn't cost more than a F8C then you have no justification for your claim. edit: And to be clear. It isn't even released for sale yet.
@@The_Opinion_of_Matt that is how it works. The Mirai Fury, a snub ship, has a value in the pledge store of $55 us. That's more than most starters. The difference is alien tech.
What better ? Hangars and elevator working to start with ? They should delay 4.0 as much as needed because it will be a slaughter if they try to rush it with all the actual bugs...
The loot pools in contested zones sound epic and makes them seem worth trying out. As far as release goals it has to be stability focused. Stability is so key for this patch rn.
its a heavy fighter they cost alot... scorpius is 240$? vanguard warden is 260$ and hurricane as the cheap one is 210$ so the "fat" fury is no chance being anything less than 200$
I don’t think it’s going to be £180, I expect it to be around the £280-£300 range. Especially as the aires ion/inferno, f8c and others are around the £250-£300 range.
It just all looks so good. Haven't had the chance to do any testing so I likely won't get to see Pyro until 4.0 releases. Looks incredible. Thanks for the update. :)
There’s always a few things saved for the live build. Sometimes it’s an item, sometimes a cargo type, a location, or even a turtle. 4.0 is the one patch I’m going to wait to go to Live to play. I want it to be totally fresh to me so all the progression & exploration feels more natural.
B. another very informative vid. I like your enthusiasm for the game and for SC news!. I have been doing 4.0 wave 1 and it is now in very good shape. Pyro is going to take time to build up "courage" to do missions. I think Pyro will encourage co-opting which I have already started.
I can't wait for the Guardian, I've been hoping for a new fighter with interior for some time now. But they better add some cool paints as well for making us wait so long xD
VERY pleasantly surprising news! Here's hoping 4.0 will launch in a very stable state. can't wait to start over with a clean slate and a new system to explore
Low 300s for the Mirai Guardian is my guess, considering they gave us a single size 3 turned size 4 weapon on the intrepid for 65 when people were expecting 45.
Looking forward to 4.0 (patiently), however we *really* need to see substantial progress on fixing year-over-year unresolved bugs like surface clipping & getting stuck in walls, elevator doors randomly failing, etc.
I did set a few days aside during my holidays to really explore Pyro. But from my ptu experience in the past few days i think i would prefer 4.0 in open ptu for the end of the year while 3.23 stays on the live servers as a fallback option. It will probably still get a good enough stress test there and i dont see any point in reducing this patch of all things to a barely working rush job just for the sake of a cool deployment date
Honestly, I know a lot of people are dreading its release but I actually cannot wait for engineering gameplay. My friend has a C2, we often play in a squad of three and there is literally nothing to do as the third person so having an opportunity to feel like we are all contributing is going to be much more engaging to us.
I’m glad they’re pushing to open it up. Wider access will stress and show more potential issues before full release. Fingers crossed for end of the year!
It will be interesting to see how it runs on live, without the debugging running. At least we can warp to our hangars, to skip the broken stuff, but I wish it was optional, as it's a pain to get back to shops.
So when they "adjust" the Guardian, will it need two extra crew members for each gun or one for the guns and one for the missiles? Maybe one more to open and close the bathroom door?
I think it will be in the 220-260 range.... Every other heavy fighter sits in that range. It's closest to the defender or vanguard as far as fighters with interiors
The Khartu-al and the Talon are 2 light fighters with 2 size 4 guns. The F8C and the Scorpius are heavy fighters with 4 s3 plus 4 s2 guns and 8 s3 guns, respectively. The Guardian is going to be a heavy fighter with 2 size 5 guns? I'm not sure that makes sense, but the Ares are heavy fighters with 1 s7 gun, so, maybe?
Been really cool to see how fast EPTU went from Wave 2 to Open PTU. I'm sure 4.0 Live will still be a dumpster fire, but I'm excited for the Guardian and for the 4.0 Wipe so that we can see how the game really is right now.
I'm all interested in this factional conflicts in Alpha 4.0. For me, I'm hoping to see if Citizens of Prosperity will be an available faction to work with in-game when doing some soldering/dogfighting contracts.
When I first used Fury, I said there should be a version of it that can jump quantum and I've been hoping for it ever since. Then I heard the rumors of Guardian during ILW and I've been waiting impatiently ever since.
The Guardian takes everything I loved about the Fury, and changed everything I disliked about the Fury and squeezes it into a new ship that I'm VERY excited to see. Will ultimately depend on cost, of course.
My prediction for the Guardian is $300USD. Likely coming out with a $40 discount for Warbond, and a special skin pack with LTI for concierge. So basically the same as the Paladin.
Hoping they are ready for the influx of people they are bound to see. With 4.0 launch. Could be stable with current numbers but that may be the first full stress test.
Just looking forward to seeing if the game 'feels' different. There will be a lot of under the hood changes like missions that I hope will feel 'bigger'.
They dropped that thing in ISC on Thursday and I just stared at it for a good few seconds. Its been a mystery for a bit and is still confusing people with its variants and loadout
Does the Terra jump point / system have an estimated creation date? I flew to the jump point for the first time this week and didnt see anything to do there.
Yea I agree, even their community support seems to be doing better possibly. After a year CIG finally realize I should have been awarded 2953 Corsair paint and poster, was issued in the 10th of this month! 😊
You're joking right? What even made you say this lol genuinely curious it's not out yet and will most likely be as bad on release as all other major patches the. It will take months to fix other than this update which is most likely rushed they have had non stop blunders

LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 4.0 OPEN PTU
They are actually going to do it and release 4.0 at the end of the year. May stability ever be in our favor.
I will bet money that it will be good for the first 24 hours then will completely break down in to an unplayable mess, just like every patch that has been rushed out.
Stability is like Tomorrow. It never actually arrives. Forever out of reach due to the obscure priorities of CIG
stability indeed shall be our watch word :P
No ur too optimistic. I would assume its unplayable for a week@@unlicensed_camera
@TheSonoris for odd reasons I read it as: safe word 😂
Honestly, the only thing I'm "waiting" for is the full wipe. I'm looking forward to starting over, weirdly.
Honestly, yeah. First time in a while where we've had to start over. If they *fingers crossed* fix the server instability issues currently in EPTU to a reasonable amount, this could be an absolute banger of a patch. I like wipes too. I normally end up finding a grind I like and get a surplus of money. Though this surplus has gone to funding polaris repairs and rearming.
But with the wipe itll give me something to work on again.
Same here, has felt pointless to play lately with wipe looming overhead
Same here. My inventory is cluttered with old gear, default gear, attachements by the dozens, ships I dont use anymore that I bought in-game just to check them out. Starting fresh is gonna be fun. Cant wait to see the new economy too.
Exactly and btw... Did I just see almost 400 tasks in mercenary???
I'm fully expecting servers to be overwhelmed by new and returning players.
It's going to be spicy.
I don’t know what will happen on PU servers, but on EPTU I’m getting 120FPS at 4K Rez with 600 player count.
Here’s hoping 🤞
@@jbirdmax Screen FPS and Server FPS are very different things. Metaconceptual's more concerned with server fps.
@@jbirdmaxWhat was the server fps?
The eptu was a bit rough for me last night with only 150 people in the server you could tell the server was struggling
Yes. I got spanked with my pants down as a solo player just out exploring. You absolutely need friends to provide mutual protrection
Finally we get another heavy fighter with Interior
I don't think there's an interior
0:50 „a Heavy fighter with a bit of interior“
Isn't the vanguard a heavy fighter with an interior?
@@Kurashinno There is. A bed and lockers have been datamined and there's one panning shot where you can see a glimpse of it behind the pilot's chair.
@@The_Fallen_1 Oh nice! There's a bed. That's tempting.
as with all of the current heavy fighters, I feel the Guardian is going to be $250 US at least
probably similar price as the Warden. I'd actually put it at 270
Yeah there's no way it's going to be 180
I wonder if he meant pound sterling?
It's definitely going to be $250 + USD. Probably leaning closer to $300.
Yeah I’d say 275USD
ya, that's what I think too. $250-$275.
Mirai Guardian Looks like a High tech Tie Fighter... I like it
I agree can't wait to see it in game
I'm not a fan of the Fury but I could give the Guardian a chance. I would like to see it in person first.
Reminds me of the Tie Striker mixed with an Interceptor, black paint is going to sell this ship. Honestly it could be a pig and I think it'll be one that never leaves my fleet BUT then again I've said that four times.
i think is more like the interception variant or the tie whisper rather than orginal tie fighter
@@Highball511 I loved my Fury. Till master modes
Can we now get a Mirai Assault carrier based on the Trade Republic Donut shape?
So we can carry all the furies and guardian squadrons around pywo
Naw, it should be spherical, with an inset radar dish.
Don't tease me, that'd be so awesome
a smart man we should listen to
Guess is around $250-$280 range, with a $25 off warbond. It’s closer to the vanguard’s and you have to add alien tax
Why add Alien Tax. Mirai isn't an alien brand. Nor is it's parent company MISC. MISC just has a technology sharing contract with the X'ian because the X'ian love the MISC Hull-series of ships.

4.0 is lit. The Carrack has shared storage now in the quarters for the crew. 1500k. Nice
4.0 LIVE just before the holidays?
What better end of the year present could we expect?
Go CIG!!!
I don't know. CIG gave us a Red/Green Karna rifle for Luminalia today!
Let's hope they keep people on board to take care of the servers lol
What better ?
Hangars and elevator working to start with ?
They should delay 4.0 as much as needed because it will be a slaughter if they try to rush it with all the actual bugs...
Still no Starlancer TAC :(
I wasn't expecting the TAC until ILW in May.
Yeah...but imagine if you were waiting for the Odyssey and then we get this instead.
Odyssey? One can dream... but sadly I think it's still far the day we'll see Odysseys flying around 😢
@@PetrosSanctus i think it's sooner. The Polaris is a step in the right direction. Similar ships.
@@R3FRY Not really. Different manufacturers, different assets, different roles. But we'll see. Hope I'm wrong.
Never thought I’d see the day when the next major update would happen
Guardian is an exciting design. Also looks fairly compact so looking forward to the 'will-it-fit' content when the time comes
will it need some parts removed manually to make it fit content like the ursa in a black cuttlass
@@dp5694 i like that thinking! if you figure out how to cut off everything but the seat and the guns please share your 'will it fit'
SO excited for 4.0 to go live... been in testing since wave one! It is AMAZING!

Dunno why, but the 'Enjoy your BOX OF SPIDERS' always cracks me up!

4.0 will definitely bring a happy new year ! 🎉
I am curious whether having Stanton and Pyro will help each chug along more smoothly or break both.
Man coming back to Star Citizen and watching your videos again is nice. Thanks for the info!
It just all looks so good. Haven't had the chance to do any testing so I likely won't get to see Pyro until 4.0 releases. Looks incredible. Thanks for the update. :)

Wish they would make progress on the liberator. With the size of pyro, could be really helpful.
The Mirai Guardian does look super nice. Can't wait to test fly it and see how it performs
given ship prices for heavy fighters. I'd assume it'll be like $250-$300 because the hornet MKII's are about $175 and they're medium fighters.
Love the Mirai Guardian. Similar design as a Tie Interceptor. Would love to see it more mobile than the other heavy fighters.
This years holidays look bright! Hope to see the Guardian soon.
Nice to see that they add more fighters with interiors. 🙂
absolutely going to be in the $260-300 range with the Vanguard series
So when they "adjust" the Guardian, will it need two extra crew members for each gun or one for the guns and one for the missiles? Maybe one more to open and close the bathroom door?
I think it will be in the 220-260 range.... Every other heavy fighter sits in that range. It's closest to the defender or vanguard as far as fighters with interiors
loved flying around in the max during the IAE
Guardian looks sweet....hoping it has some interior space for long distanec missions.
The Khartu-al and the Talon are 2 light fighters with 2 size 4 guns. The F8C and the Scorpius are heavy fighters with 4 s3 plus 4 s2 guns and 8 s3 guns, respectively. Almost 4.0 time! This also means that we are that much closer to engineering coming out. Hopefully 4.1 or even a 4.0.x patch
This all sounds good. Have they fixed bed logging while landed on a planet? Falling through the surface when you log in shouldn't still be a thing
Mirai Guardian looks so good..... Definitely going to look at that one.
I hope that the open PTU is stable enough to release to LIVE before Christmas but they only have ten days. That may not be enough
I'm all interested in this factional conflicts in Alpha 4.0. For me, I'm hoping to see if Citizens of Prosperity will be an available faction to work with in-game when doing some soldering/dogfighting contracts.
hopefully 4.0 is going to be stable from the start and fun to play in in general
Absolutely love the ship promos they create. Just beautiful.
Finally I will get to explore Pyro .. cant bloody wait!
Oh did not expect this, times to update the PTU
Can't wait to explore pyro in 4.0, and the guardian looks great.
does the bug fixes within this EPTU fix the reclaimer elevators?? Been the biggest problem for salvaging
It's going to go Live next week, and they will then Hotfix their way through to New Year's and beyond.
I've been sceptical if they can get 4.0 out but they are pushing hard. Fingers crossed for working servers over the break.
I’m not the only one that sees a tie interceptor right? Cool looking ship though!
The Guardian looks awesome! I can't wait for 4.0!
Thank you for the information about star citizen developing process. I hope they will release asap after SQ42
When I first used Fury, I said there should be a version of it that can jump quantum and I've been hoping for it ever since. Then I heard the rumors of Guardian during ILW and I've been waiting impatiently ever since.
You've done it a lot, but that jump to pyro will never get old!!
Excited for 4.0. How's the stability in open PTU? Are elevators and trams working now? What about random quantum jump craziness?
I am going in to 4.0 launch with cautious optimism, a life raft, extra oxygen, and a parachute
No way they actually did it. I hope it's not a huge mess. Going to go update it right now and HOPING this is not a 3.18 situation
Thank you for all the updates
the guardian is a very exciting addition, almost as much as the big 4.0
The Guardian takes everything I loved about the Fury, and changed everything I disliked about the Fury and squeezes it into a new ship that I'm VERY excited to see. Will ultimately depend on cost, of course.
My prediction for the Guardian is $300USD. Likely coming out with a $40 discount for Warbond, and a special skin pack with LTI for concierge.
So basically the same as the Paladin.
I think that the fat fury is going to be between 200 and 300 dollars due to the fact that vanguards are around that much and they are heavy fighters
It'll be 5 dollars less than the cheapest vanguard probably lol. Don't need those getting CCU'd.
The more I see the Guardian the more I like it. Not sure how viable it will be if it only has 2 S5s but it looks cool.

I really like videos like this, giving us a nice easy to digest updates.
Hope 4.0 holds off a little longer. I have been out of town all week so I haven't been able to finish the event missions
I am liking the multiple updates daily to fix and optimize the game. Can’t wait for release of the patch.
Does the Terra jump point / system have an estimated creation date? I flew to the jump point for the first time this week and didnt see anything to do there.

It's certainly going to be a spicy patch, just hopefully not too spicy.
Hope the interior is large enough to be useful. I expect it to be comparable in price to the VG or the F8, $250+. Still gonna get one with credit.
Getting more and more exciting now!
I really hope 4.0 has a smooth launch. There is going to be a lot of attention, players returning, and people waiting to make click bait videos on it.
The Guardian is going to decide if I really need/want an f8c in my fleet, honestly. They've been teasing it for so long!
