Does it have ventilated seats? Does the climate control physical buttons available?
WOW! They actually listened and brought back actual physical buttons on the steering wheel! I really liked the overall package of the last gen model, but refused to look any further than its stupid touch sensitive steering wheel buttons.
In truth, reverting to a push- button steering wheel is a very backwards step
I don’t mint the interior as long as they’ve worked out the glitches, exterior I’m less convinced by, I don’t hate it by any means, it wouldn’t put me off buy one but I think the current design has more character and individuality in the market place and this in videos at least looks slightly derivative

Incredible looking car. Both exterior and intorior are on point. My only 2 big hickups on this is the "ambient lighting" which I hate, but I assume that can be turend off. But the real big hick up is the everything on a screen. It makes NO SENSE. I need knobs and dials and switches. They are easier to use, more pleasant to use. And simply better in every single way for almost all of the regular controls likr temperature, fan speed, etc.
I don't know if you (I'm writing this because there are a lot of comments about it) have some kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder? Man, I get into my car, set the air conditioning to 21 degrees and forget about it for months. The same with the lights, they are in the auto position and I don't change practically anything there. Everyone is buzzing that they want adjustment knobs, they already were. Just like with prices, it was already cheap, now it is new and more expensive.
@a Price is not my problem. I was not talking about the lights either,and I don't know where you live, but where I live some times its cold, sometimes its warm. Sometimes I wear my jacket in the car, some times i sit in my tshirt. And sometimes I want my car to be warm as fadst a s possible, sometimes I'm fine with slow temparature adjustment because I don't want the loud noise on my head. My point is, something like the airconditioning has to be quick and easy to adjust. Purely from a practical purpose. And also it just looks and feels better if done correctly. I will not but a new mercedes or bmw, purly because they are too cheap to put in a full screen dashboard. Instantly makes a 100k+ care feel like some kind of cheap cabin. THey just stick some kind of cheap made in china tablet on the dash so they can save themselves some 2000-3000 euros on a dashboard that hey then just stick in their own pockets. I don't want that. They don't even put up any effort to integrate it nicely or anything, it just a little glue, plop!, stick a cheap $20 made in china tablet on there. Cheapass m fs.
@@erfho8y So all this work is done by the AC Auto button. It is he who sets the temperature at optimal values. If you want to heat the interior when it is cold, it will not help if you set the air flow to a very high level, because the engine has not warmed up and there is no temperature in the warm air circulation. So Auto Ac will raise this temperature when possible. Unless, as I wrote, you're driving and you like to turn around and change the temperature every 2 minutes. As for the screens, buddy, it's already like that in almost all cars. The Tesla brand pioneered large screens. Many luxury brands have equally ridiculously attached screens, complete with large amounts of shiny plastic. As for the vehicle line itself, well, something new is coming. Each brand has its own visions and I have the impression that they think that for a car to be cool, there must be something controversial about it. An example of a BMW with these large "kidneys" instead of a small, discreet grill, what's worse, sometimes these "kidneys" light up with LEDs. and I really like this Tiguan. I have already ordered it and am waiting to receive it.

Why does this 24 VW Tiguan look like this where I can't find this body style of Tiguan anywhere on Volkswagens Website builder for the VW Tiguan.
I also work at a VW store in Canada and have sold a couple 2024 models, and they looked like the 2022 - 2023 bodystyle. What am I missing here, is it a UK Specific body style?

Dimesons seem to be fine for a practical SUV and it looks OK... but who left their TV on the dashboard, disrupting the driver's view :D

A completely new das auto built on a universal MQB trolley (which is 10 years old) with an EA 888 engine (which is also ten years old) and a flimsy DSG DQ 200 gearbox.
But what's new you ask???
Haven't you seen the LED strip on the front??? What about the revolutionary Chinese display in the middle??? Also do not forget that the price is twice as high as the previous generation. In principle, if you don’t buy it, the car is good.

This latest/upcoming model is more refined than than the current North American Tiguan. I like the curvy edges and taillight. The interior much better, seats have cushioning than hard bench style on the current Tiguan. Bring this latest Tiguan model to the North American market, instead of the Tayron.

Price of cars starting to get prohibitive - I saw a video of a Citroen DS7 recently - the one reviewed was £56,000 !!!! As for this it's too posj inside - isn't it mean to be a Family Car ? I have a Dog and 2 children - not sure this car suits that lifestyle......prefer the look of the Nissan X-Trail anyway.

Exactly- I guessed at 60k up too. Will be very surprised if it comes in under that and let’s face it; this sector of the car market should be less than 45k for a high spec. 30-35k for standard - and even that is high. Fools and their money if the pay more.

@@richgl31what is up with you?? The base Modell is 36k and the top version probably around 60-70k which is fine. If you don’t have the money to buy new cars then go with public transportation, what’s the big deal?
The base model costs 3.600€ more than the previous Generation, but the third generation also offers way more than the 2023 model
@@ravenmcclaw1725 Yes, of course ; It’s like all purchases- you should establish what value it has in your life in relation to your income. As this vehicle is aimed primarily at family market; the question is then considering the average pay - does this vehicle provide good value?. The further issue is that it is part of a car market that collectively prices against each other - so even cars that were once 20-25k have notably moved up a bracket - beyond inflation and beyond most incomes. Many never buy a car and now enter contracts that further offer less value. So my problem is not just with this car- it’s the industry; but VW are generally quite overpriced imo for what they are. I take it you will be ‘buying ‘ one on PCP?

Honestly , I just feel a way that they gave Tiguan this facelift ( it looks good) but they won't bring new Toureg back to USA .. i realllyyyy prefer it to the atlas 😒
In 5 minutes of video, there wasn´t a single second showing the car from the side. There are only diagonal shots. I suspect that the car is ugly to show. Diagonal shots always look better but are often deceiving. Please ALWAYS show side shots, otherwise people might stop watching your videos, to get a better perspective elsewhere. This issue aside (pun intended), nice video!
How about you look up pictures from the side instead of being a cry baby. The angles were decided by the youtube channel, not VW.

People watch car videos to learn more about cars. And a major interest factor about cars is their looks. The side of the car is the longest measure, therefore the most important visual factor. By not showing the car from the side (the most important visual factor), it´s not possible to clearly evaluate the looks of the car. I hope that even you can understand this now, but I wouldn´t bet on it.
As we say in my country, your comment was "a missed opportunity to shut up". Tip for you: speak less. And don´t be rude to people who weren´t rude to you or others.

North America when?
The quality of windscreen of VW Tiguan is worse than Honda CRV, Nissan Xtrail. My VW Tiguan got windscreen crack twice in just one year usage. Second event happened after just 2 months of replacing the windscreen.
Our Tiguan has been plagued with windscreen chips. No matter the situation.
Hard buttons for climate or. I dont care how bug the screen is. I dont know anyone who likes is this way
To answer the question - is this my next family SUV, the simple answer is no. I test drove a Kodiaq vRS & was impressed. And then an Octavia vRS. The latter was £10k cheaper, more fuel efficient, cheapest to tax/insure & faster/better handling. It’s boot space is just as large as well. I simply don’t get the point of SUV’s unless you need to go off road/ground clearance. Maybe for people with mobility issues as well.
For me, it was Kodiaq's boot height - my dog cage can fit there and there is a lot of space for other things as well. On Superb or Octavia the boot would be full of my dog and I would have to carry other stuff at footwells, which to some extent would be doable, but not with 2 dogs and a child on it's way. So looking forward Kodiaq PHEV, although I also am afraid, it will be at least 50, if not 55k here in baltics.

Volkswagen have gone bit too much futuristic looks with new VW Tiguan which in my opinion does not look great when compared with German motor design and still love the previous generation design except haptic / capacitive touch buttons.

The previous models/gens were way better looking - VW is losing its way and the designs are getting boring and soft.. nothing about this VW screams VW identity... it's a Tiguan pretending to be something it's not... overall the new Tiguan gets a D- for a grade... nothing crazy to want to go out and upgrade anytime soon....there are other brands out there that are hitting the mark and VW is seemingly holding on for until its last breath....
As a big VW fan - I couldn’t agree more and it’s sad to see. I just took delivery of the current model and obviously I was a bit concerned that it would soon look old and outdated. After seeing this new version I’m not even slightly concerned as the current model is just a superior or design and has its own character and look. This just looks like mash up of the models rivals and has effectively lost its individual identity.
But the new model has adas, that is surely a plus..

VW have always had pricing problem. So bring your price down and sell more vehicles and earn more cash. Otherwise your company will suffer going forward, With other Competitors that sell far better vehicles cheaper.

While they cannot be accused of originality (contrary to the fact that VW is the biggest investor in R&D in the world of car manufacturers), there is a policy of fighting against design innovation in this company. Otherwise I don't see the explanation of the design flops for almost all of their models. Toyota understood that and their models are at least watchable if not well adjusted to the 21st century. Reliability is also not on VW side. And to complete kingphiltheill comment, the name was picked by Hitler himself and nobody ever protested against the fact that VW is happily still keeping it.

Open Road VW Manhattan flat out refused to honor the sunroof warranty on my 2019 Alltrack. This is going to court. They're an unbelievably shoddy VW dealer. P.S. I would not buy a VW with a sunroof, as this problem has been known to happen with the Tiguan as well.

Another boring slab from VW. The current R Line version looks great, muscular, purposeful. The image of the proposed R Line, looks like its lots the sharp edges. In comparison the Peugot 3008 and looks better outside and in. Of course people will still buy this in droves, because its got "german quality" ffs

Because they like them…elevated driving position . Anthropometrics wise- great if you have young kids and car seats or have back issues etc. Feeling of safety - great when driving through flooded streets (just did it!). Environmentally though- not the best, but I don’t honk that is the crux of your argument against.
