- This week we go up into the loft to check out my two Subbuteo stadiums, the 80's (my dream as a kid) and the 60's/7's stadiums.
Plus check out my boxset's and witness the the death the corner flag.
I loved Subbuteo. Got my first set in the early 70s which was basic blue/ white and red/ white teams. We later added Liverpool for my brother and Leeds for my cousin. Got another set in the late 70s. Your stadiums are amazing. We had just the basic surround fence. Ive noticed on ebay that the old 70s heavyweight teams in boxed condition can be £25+ and much more for rarer sides. Thanks for bringing back good memories.

Wow! This brings back memories from the 70's! Great video! I saw a very basic Subbuteo set from a charity shop in Moreton, Wirral. That was three weeks ago. Now I have a MDF board and these videos will really help with the build. Keep it going matey!

That was the dream. :) I managed to get one side full of stadium when I was a kid but, could never have gotten the full 4 sides. lol. I think one of my favourite accessories was a 6 piece "Interchangeable Goalkeeper" box. 2 sticks and 4 goalkeepers. When I played in a league, I'd use the light blue keeper from that kit all the time. Maaan, some great memories. Thanks for sharing!

Saw a stadium set up in a shop when I was a kid, my mum said no. Now that I've my own money to "waste," we'll see about that.

Waouh you picked a lots of Subbuteo stuff ! Great job ! Yours stadiums are great. During the 1 st lockdwon i was bring back to the hobby through a Table Football Monthly video ( i watched all theirs videos). Now i will try to watch all yours videos...smile. Ago the past weeks i became a Subbuteo addict ! It is very addictive ! I started my collection with my teenager Subbuteo WC 1990 set ( with Argentina and Germany teams) and now i try to increase my collection : so many subbuteo items to buy ! .Happy Flicking.
That stadium is in my last house. Manage to get into my our room. Enjoy your binge, lot more episode they TFM is I’be been on UA-cam a little longer and post more often with a bit of luck :-). Welcome back to game pal. Enjoy
wasnt mine but my dad had a subbuteo room until my siblings were born .. he had a full stadium made up with the green subbuteo stadiums and terracing like you have in your video .. i was banished from his room whilst he was in there but i used to sneak in and spend ages looking at all the bits and bobs .. he used to play league and cup competitions and have floodlit matches the lot .. as a kid it was fascinating .. he still has it all neatly packed away in storage ..
Fantastic story. My son is now you lol, I often catch.him my Subbuteo room trying to play I follow him and he legs it out. Thing is I'd rather he stay and give me a game lol

It was all star wars for me from 1980 to 84......ut when i got my 1st .subbuteo (the everton,watford cup final of 84)....it has been in my life ever since.......wish i could get me lads to enjoy it.....but you know its all fifa now aint it.....great vid mate....

Subbuteo Collector all i ever got got at xmas was subbuteo. all set up in the cellar at my parents. me an my pals played leagues home and away and my ground "cellar park" was used for the cup finals as the othe guys pitches wernt up to much with 1 or no stands.

Had everything then my storage got stolen and sold off by my brother sadly. Best days and memories come from this game, literally wish i could go back in time and get it all again

I never wanted a stadium as a kid. I got the floodlights and realised they just got in the way. The revelation for me came when my dad mounted the pitch onto hardboard. Then I put the green fence around it. I still remember the first time I curled around an opposition player and gently kissed the ball.

Corner flags...they lasted 10 mins as we snapped everyone by mistake in on half...how we laughed.
We did away with the corner kickers and also those daft throw in figures. Great attic stadiums.👍

An entertaining video. Nice to have something informative to watch while I wait for my temporary ban on eBay purchases to be lifted. Three weeks into collecting a small league of teams and they say I’m spending too much!

Concern over the amount of money I’ve been spending! I can start bidding again if I sell some things on go for some Buy it now items. I’ve been thinking about selling some Scalextric collectibles, possibly a good idea to have a break from buying though!

Thanks buddy. Do you mean reference numbers from Subbuteo? The blue and red stands are 61216, the grey stands 61217, the gray corners 61218, the green and brown stands are C140, the brown stands c142 and the brown corners c143. The ‘c’ references can also be 61xxx depending on time frame. Hope that helps, hope that’s what you meant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I would have killed for a stadium in the 70’s. Do you remember the security fence and police officers on horse back sets which came out early 80’s?

Getting a little seasick trying to watch some of the footage. You need a steadicam or a tripod, but otherwise, keep it coming.
PTFZine I always use a tripod for most of the filming just hard to get up close and personally on the loft with a tripod

Dude, people are so fed up of youtubers begging for likes/subscribes/bells and what have you, but the stats show you need to ask as it works but don't beg, just a quick non intrusive reminder, maybe even a little iddy biddy arrow pointing to where their subscribe button is as a gentle push.
I’m talking about Subbuteo, it’s tough to a get a view, let’s alone a sub... begging is the only way. Don’t take it too serious. Comments work well on the UA-cam algorithm too I think, soo cheers... have you hit the sub button? Lol
