Of watching over a hundred teachers, you have touched on several things that none other ever did. You also explained it in simple terminology for us just beginning. You are my favorite by far! Ty so much!
Today I started to practice together with your advice! Send a few days I started to learn this instrument with age of 69. But before I have played accordion and so far the right hand there is some understanding. Greetings from Germany!
Yea I like to add a few quick tips like that because from experience teaching, I know where folks often trip up. The devil is in the details. Hope it was useful 👍
Very nice video, as usual. I had a method book in French, La Méthode Rose, which used a lot of Alberti Bass. Most piano teachers don’t use it with children or absolute beginners. Maybe it was a good thing I didn’t know better, since I find playing songs with this pattern fairly easy.
This is really useful. However, the bit they I really have trouble with is working out how to play both hands together. Specifically how say the arpeggios fit in with the melody. Any tips?
I have a video on hands together - main thing is to break things down step by step into small chunks to really get your head around which notes in each hand line up as well as when a hand plays by itself. Go slow then speed up gradually ua-cam.com/video/sbhe-bLXtg4/v-deo.html

You're a fantastic teacher. Thankyou for this.
Your lessons are always a great resource and so inspiring, there’s something new to learn every time and makes practicing so much more fun.
Amazing feedback, great to hear! Thanks 🙏
Very nice, it would be great if you make a dedicated video to play 7th, 9th, 11th and 13th with the same left hand pattern.
Great suggestion. That's getting more advanced but I will have a think about how to approach a video on that at some point!
