Anti-Parasite Duo and Quad have different meds. The duo's active ingredients are metronidazole and praziquantel. A great general dewormer as it covers about 80% of the common parasites we encounter. Quad is praziquantel, levamisole, garlic and Epsom salt. Also a dewormer, but doesn't treat flagellets or protozoa, but it can treat resistant worms, such as camalanus. @@MichaelsFishRoom lol, thanks. I guess that's obvious eh? ;) Is it as easy as adding the meds to the food, letting it soak and then adding some gaurlic gaurd or something like that for flavor?
Will Prazipro just soak in? I'm such a noob. :) Sorry.
@@arachnophilegrrl I think so on the Prazi, I have never done it. I have used Levamisole and fenbendazole though. Take the food you want to use, put the meds in a spray bottle mixed at the correct dose and spray on. Let dry and BAM!
So.. I helped my brother clear these out of his Oscar tank. We used panacur C mixed into a cup of aquarium water and blood worms and let it soak. Only fed that twice a day and did water changes every two days. Went for 4 days and took a two week break and did it again. Another two week break and did it again. It seems to have worked. But I now have them in my 20L nano 😞 it's my colony breeding tank for various micro rasboras, painted fire red cherries, and a couple gups and some oddballs. Im freaking out but I am gonna try this food I was unaware of it. Thankyou so much
If you still have the meds, just make your own! Good Luck.
Here's my problem I have only 1 tank. It is all natural. Detritus, rhabdocela, copepods, 1 horned Nerite, 1 black rainbow shrimp, and 3 infected Endler Guppies...I don't want to kill any of my microfauna at all...I'm am honestly stunned and have no idea what to do. What can I possibly do?
You have no choice, you have to treat.
I might buy a really cheap aquarium and set it up as my quarantine tank, then put my shrimp and fish in it. I'll medicate them and then wait out the remainder life cycle in my initial tank. That way, the parasite will expire and I won't have to kill anything. What do you think though? I've only been doing this for a year, and this is my first tank and parasite experience.
I need to check out that quad flake
It's great!
Health snack I am having Life cereal and black coffee. Yes you are looking better,. Yes the fish room is looking great and thank you for your advice. QT is a must.
Thanks!
Could the red worms cause Bloat???
No
It can be long white stringy poop too
No, that is different internal parasite usually.
Do they not sell the anti-parasite quad flake anymore?
They do, email the store.
I have snails.. and I noticed one of my guppies has small ones protruding out. What should I get? Also, I dont want to harm my snails.
May have to try the medicated flakes!
Try what I recommended in the video.
@@MichaelsFishRoom I just bought some of your medicated flakes. I have snails in there with them. Should I move the snails into a different tank, then treat the guppies?
@@-Aprilllll- I used fenbendazole in my tank and the uneaten food at the bottom got eaten by snails and they died
@@shanezclashin7577 im going to try the API general cure.. so no fenbendazole lol
‘Everything Aquatics’ definitely looking at those parzi flakes 👌🏽
If you have any questions let me know.
EverythingAquatic thank you. I just want to know the difference between your quad and duo flakes (quad does seem better)
The parasite ones(one of my guppies is looking thin and not fattening up again pretty sure she dropped some fry a while back but she isn’t putting back on weight )
Plus levamisole has the added bonus of boosting the immune system.
EverythingAquatic fenbendazole flake?
My favorite snack is frozen raspberry yogurt drops :)
Interesting.
I'm on a 24 hour fast. Nothing but water today. 👍🏻
Why?
@@MichaelsFishRoom because she probably thinks she's fat when she isn't
If you've had a fish with redworms and you clear it up 100% , are they more suseptable to it in the future?
I don’t think so. 🧐
Actually no they are not in matter of fact there immune are much stronger after this treatment
Can't you just do the med trio and feed the fenbendizole flake while they are in QT?
Sure you can, why?
What kind of guppy is this...I have a nice male just like it
These are Black Moscows.
Does this work for Clown loaches with the wasting skinny parasite/disease?
If they have internal parasites, yes.
Question can Pleco’s get this and would you treat the same way?
Yes, and I would use sinking pellets instead of flakes.
Michael's Fish Room thanks checking out your friends store!
