Hello ladies! Laura, I was jealous that you got to go to Philly...I have always wanted to go there and run the steps at the Liberty Bell like Rocky did! Another great video from the two of you. I am in the middle of stitching my first sampler...I can't get over how many you two have done and all your starts. Amazing! Happy Stitching, Carmen from Fargo
"Knowledge be damned! I'm buying trinkets!" I need this on a t-shirt please!!!! That was amazing! What a fun flosstube today. I had to pause a ba-jillion times to search and buy a few things. I decided I WAS buying trinkets. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
OK, I loved the threads that you showed made from Almond M&Ms. I zoomed out and bought a bag and can't for the life of me figure out how to turn them into threads! So.... I ate them.
Love love watching you two ladies ❤ Another amazing hobby house retreat 🎉 I am so happy yous liked your needle books, until we stitch together again take care😊
It was so amazing to meet you both at the hobby house retreat. You two are the nicest, most genuine people ever. I was so grateful that was my first retreat ever, and you all invited me to stitch with you Thursday night in the lobby. I, too, almost fainted when they handed that calendar out. It's already hanging in my office! Thank you for another amazing video, WIPs showing, and product/cross-stitch enabling. My wallet is empty after the retreat, but now I have a Brenda/Laura cool stuff list I can go back to and order from. You both always make my day!
I would love to meet these ladies someday and it is nice to hear that they are nice in person! So happy that you had such a great experience with these ladies🌸🌸

I love seeing all of your haul, but so glad I’m not paying for it or trying to find a place for it. I’ll just keep living vicariously through you two. Have fun!
It is always such fun to visit with you too (always) but especially after a retreat as you are both so overflowing with the aftereffects of time spent with friends - just warms my heart!!! Laura, your finishes are beautiful! Brenda, I love the samplers you are doing with the Flower Thread! Thanks as always ladies and happy stitching!
It is always a joy spending time with you. I loved hearing about both retreats. Knowledge be damned! I had to pause and tell my husband because I was cracking up. I am absolutely intrigued by the flower threads too. I will be getting some to play with in the new year.
What fabulous tales from Summer School 😊 and fab shopping from The Attic!! 🛍️ thank you so much lovely girls for all the joy you bring and the incredibly kind comments you made - I can’t believe it really 😅 take care 💛
I really enjoyed watching you two this week. I was having a rough day and needed some stitchy love. Thank you both so much for all that you do for the cross stitch community.
You two brightened up my day, thanks! Glad you had fun at your retreats. Enjoy all your lovely haul and stitching, and wishing you a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. Take care, and happy stitching, Arleen
I so enjoy visiting with you both. Today’s included some shopping for me for some wonderful charts that you’ve both shown. Blessings and some wonderful happy stitching coming up.
You girls are so blessed to attend so many wonderful retreats! It was so fun seeing all of the projects you received, and all of your fantastic haul and gifts. Wishing you both a blessed and relax Thanksgiving with your loved ones. Safe travels Laura!
Always a great Sunday when your videos post! Loved hearing about your Hobby House adventures. I'm so excited to be going next year!!! Laura, you mentioned you want to learn more about the cloistered nuns......there is a group in Lemont where you can attend Mass in the chapel if you're interested. My husband was the project manager, when they built the convent back in the early 2000s. The nuns are really cool and were so involved during the building. They would come out on weekends and clean up the job site and eventually planted the garden where they grow most of their food. One weekend, we split the group up into two cars and I had a chance to drive a few of them to the job site. I was really looking forward to hearing about their calling/lifestyle but supposedly it was the time of day when they say their prayers so we didn't have a chance to talk much. To this day, I wonder if it was really the hour in which they pray or if it was my driving! 😂
I just love your videos. I saw you both shopping at Hobby House. I was in line to check out but by the time I did check out you had already left the shop to go to your hotel. I live just 10 minutes away from Hobby House. Maybe some day I will get to meet you at a retreat. Many blessings to you for Thanksgiving. I'm sure this will be a difficult holiday for your Dad, Laura but having you there will help
Thank you Angela! Next time, please come up and say hello (even if we look like we are seriously shopping!) we would love to meet you! You are so lucky to live so close to HHN!!!!!

Sweet Brenda & Laura; So good to see you again and hear about all your retreat adventures. How I wish I could be "in your pocket" for these fabulous retreats, but because I can no longer travel, I love hearing every detail and seeing all the things! Happy Birthday to Rick and I hope both of you and your families have a most Blessed Thanksgiving! See you Dec. 3 xoxoxo!

Another fabulous Sunday listening & watching you two! And, oh my gosh, that husband’s comment about “the ladies that buy everything”😂…while I think I keep a low profile (ha!), my credit card tells the truth and my husband KNOWS I am now part of the “ladies that buy everything” group! Happy Thanksgiving to you both - we are so grateful for all the joy you bring to us!❤️ 🦃
They do seem to buy everything! I think they are millionaires to purchase all the stuff they do. I can barely buy 2 patterns let alone all the specialty floss they buy!
@@lindadaley7469 Yes, I know it seems like that...if we were millionaires we would buy even more! and have really good production value to our floss tube! Maybe someday!!!
Thanks, Ladies! Spent the whole time using my floss winder and getting threads gathered and organized for a project, so was nice to have your company. Have a blessed three weeks!
Enjoy visiting w/U2; waiting 3 wks will be hard. Enjoy your travels and stitching. But I do understand; it's a very busy time of year. Love all the stitching projects you show; they are fantastic! See ya Dec 3rd.
You ladies are way too much fun!!! I do so enjoy your floss tubes! The problem is I buy everything you show that I like. I will never in my lifetime finish everything, plus my quilting, knitting etc… 🙃! Brenda, go Maze and Blue🏈🏈🏈! Now I have a question, does either of you know why so many samplers have a “key” stitched on them? I have frequently asked and no one seems to know. And how do you ever get so much done? I just started a new piece and the entire time I’m thinking that I should finish my Jack’s Bash and Thomas first. Do you have any suggestions as to how to actually get pieces finished!?? Quickly?? I find I have to stitch monogamously in order to do so. Alas, your enthusiasm encourage me to stitch pieces I wouldn’t normally stitch. Please keep these floss tubes coming! You are a joy and pleasure to watch. Your back and forth conversations make me chuckle and I always happily await hearing about your travels and retreats, I especially enjoy seeing all the cross stitch goodies you show us. I hope you had a beautiful, blessed Thanksgiving. I look forward to your next video!
Thank you so much Rita!!!!!!!! I do not have any answers to your questions...I am the exact same way! As long as we are having fun...let's just keep doing what we are doing!
Oh I forgot to tell you, because of watching your floss tube, I now am in the Country Sampler Threads of History Club and can't wait to start Milady's Courting Conundrum! Thank you!!
What a great Floss Tube! Love hearing about all your travels to retreats and of course all that haul. The apron was beautiful and love all your stitching. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 can’t wait for the next floss tube!
Sounds like you 2 had a lot of fun the past 2 weeks. Great projects, & love seeing all the haul! Laura, have a safe trip & enjoy your time away. Happy Thanksgiving to both of you. Marilyn
I was eating ice cream with chocolate sauce while watching your video and at 1:01 I spilled a little and I was cleaning it up and saw a spot on Brenda’s shirt and thought, oh my gosh, I spilled on Brenda’s shirt sleeve….🤣….I think I need to go to bed…..and watch the rest of the video. Love you two!
Happy Birthday to your husband. German chocolate is delicious. Thank you ladies for the video, i love watching you both opening and sharing your cross stitch goodies. Have a great week.
Hi Laura, I do my White floss first especially with any DMC Red next to it (overdyes have not been a problem) - - I'd get little bits of tiny red fibers here & there that made my white appear to look Pink. My Backs are tidy, yet it would still get teeny tiny fibers if I did the white second. Happy Thanksgiving to You Both!! I enjoyed your video. TY
What a floss tube! So much great stuff! I took copious notes and now to shop! My sister made the Cardinal Kin and then she decided to make another one over one. I don't know what count she was using but it is little and so cute! Sounds like you had loads of fun at the retreats. Happy Thanksgiving!
I loved that you explained that comfort stitching can be anything, it isn’t just one type of project. My comfort stitching consists of big heavily confetti full coverage cross stitch of works of art. It also includes my other stitching hobbies of knitting lace weight shawls and crocheting intricate doilies in thin threads. These are my happy projects. Other crafters try to insist that I stitch ornaments or knit socks or crochet a hat. Those projects are all wonderful if they bring THEM comfort. I like the intricacies that require my full attention. It is a comforting habit to block out everything else and set my mind and hands to work on something beautiful. Thank you ladies for being all-inclusive ⭐️
I love your definition....yes, it is up to each of us to decide what constitutes comfort stitching. You must have some really beautiful projects on the go!
OMGOODNESS.. so much fun you had. I love your posts. Keep them coming. I am going to start them from the beginning as I enjoy the friendship of you two. I love the tiny red sampler from whilst iris naps... and my bucket list is eventually going to Hobby House and a retreat to meet you both.
You ladies are pure sunshine!! Thank you for sharing all of your stitching joy... I love seeing what your stitching friends gift you... and what catches your fancy. I had to schoom over to get Mary Norrie 😍😍😍 Thanksgiving blessings to you!🍗🥧🥧🥧
Love hearing about all the wonderful retreat news. So neat to see the people who buy everything!😉 Brenda I got Colorado Cross-stitcher's 12 days of Christmas too! I'm trying to hold out until December. Not sure if I'll make it. I loved her box last year. Wishing you both a Happy Thanksgiving!
You two funny ladie3s sure brightened my day. I found it so hilarious when Brenda said, just rip the head off and save the pumpkin,my kind of humour. Happy Thanksgiving.
Fun to "visit" with you girls today. Loved seeing your WIPs and loved hearing about your retreats and plans. Happy Thanksgiving to you both. Safe travels, Laura. Take care and happy stitching! 🧵
best eggplant parmesan "one for the baby book" 🤣🤣 and then "shot glasses at the betsy ross museum" too funny!!!! have a great thanksgiving and see you after!
As always, you two are awesome! I never get tired of your videos. I realize I probably have a lot to catch up on with all of your previous videos amongst many other flosstubers, but I plan on hunkering down on those days when there is too much snow to get through for work, or when I am sick. 😁 Brenda, Your Elizabeth Hughes is just stunning! I have to check to see if I have it. I love that Prairie Land Fabric too.Just gorgeous. So much to look at and to listen to, that I forgot to write notes half the time as you went along. I did wonder though, wasn't there a shop that sold samples of linen pieces in different counts? I thought I had seen that somewhere, and for the life of me, can't remember. Maddening! In regards to linen stitching, I have questions. Firstly, how does one calculate the size of the fabric one needs? If it's 36 count you would use 18 as the divider number right? Because you are calculating stitching over two right? and if you were stitching over one, do you use 36 as the divider number? I am so confused, especially since I stitch predominently on aida. And don't worry, Dec 3rd will be here before you know it! All my love to you both, and Happy Thanksgiving too! Hugs and Love, Jennifer
Thank you so much Jennifer!!!! With regard to your question about fabric calculation...here is the only answer you will need: yarntree.com/java/xstitchcal.htm Go there and put in your numbers and voila! You will receive an answer! I use it every time I start something new~ I think you might be thinking of Mason Linen?? They package their linens in bundles.....
@brendaandtheserialstarter2410 thank you for the link to Yarn tree, I will have to check that out and also for the suggestion on Mason linen. I want to try to expand my stitching horizons as Nicola said in her last video...I will always love aida, but I wanted to see if I could stitch on linen more comfortably... I only have one piece that is an old wip that has been sadly neglected due to fears of not counting correctly over a "space" of area before the stitching has to start again. Stupid I know... but thank you still. I have hopes that I will conquer.. all my love again to you both ❤️
@@jennifers4051 When I count on linen...I say to myself one, skip, two, skip, three, skip.....I hope that helps....it probably doesn't make sense when it is typed out rather than illustrated visually.

Thank you Georgia!!!!!!! So glad we spent time together at HHN!!!!! Hugs!
@@lindadaley7469 Yes, I know it seems like that...if we were millionaires we would buy even more! and have really good production value to our floss tube! Maybe someday!!!
Thank you Georgia!!!!! I am so happy we could spend more time together at HHN! Until next time......Hugs! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks, Ladies! Spent the whole time using my floss winder and getting threads gathered and organized for a project, so was nice to have your company. Have a blessed three weeks!
I love watching FT and winding floss! So happy you were able to do that today Marcia!
This episode is chock full of so much goodness! Thank you both for sharing and the love and laughter you give to all of us.❤
Thank you for watching Laurie!
Enjoy visiting w/U2; waiting 3 wks will be hard. Enjoy your travels and stitching. But I do understand; it's a very busy time of year. Love all the stitching projects you show; they are fantastic! See ya Dec 3rd.
Thank you so much Renae!!!!!!!! Time will fly until 12/3!
Oh and fun we do have! And we are NEVER bored! Thank you both for all you do to contribute to our beautiful craft!
Thank you so much Pamela!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Sounds like you 2 had a lot of fun the past 2 weeks.
Great projects, & love seeing all the haul!

Happy Thanksgiving to both of you.

Happy Thanksgiving Marilyn!!!
That is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like something I would do!
I just love the two of you so much!! You both are such a blessing!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! 🦃🍂🐿️
Thank you Brenda!!! You too!
Happy Birthday to your husband. German chocolate is delicious. Thank you ladies for the video, i love watching you both opening and sharing your cross stitch goodies. Have a great week.
Thank you Crystal!
TY
Thank you for that tip Dee!!!! I always have such a time with white stitches!
What a floss tube! So much great stuff! I took copious notes and now to shop! My sister made the Cardinal Kin and then she decided to make another one over one. I don't know what count she was using but it is little and so cute! Sounds like you had loads of fun at the retreats. Happy Thanksgiving!
I bet that tiny Cardinal Kin is amazing!!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!
As usual, 👏👏👏! 👍❤️❤️
Thank you Tracey!
Thank you so much!!!!!! I hope your bucket list comes true for all of us!

You two funny ladie3s sure brightened my day. I found it so hilarious when Brenda said, just rip the head off and save the pumpkin,my kind of humour. Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy thanksgiving ladies
Happy Thanksgiving to you Aura!
Happy Thanksgiving Ladies. Enjoyed your show and tell.
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to two of my favorite people! 🥰
Happy Thanksgiving Diane!
I am always so happy to see you girls pop up in my feed and today was a great video! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families and safe travels!
Thank you Pam! We wish you the same!
Love you guys❣️
Thanks for sharing all of your haul. I made a list (as usual). I must say I'm surprised at the anger Brenda holds for Baby Yoda. She seems so mild-mannered in person. 🤣😆🤣
I can't explain it......she really just doesn't like anything to do with Star Wars...but other than that she is a good egg!!!
It’s always a great day when I see a video pop up from you both. Happy thanksgiving to you both.
Thank you Kathy!!! Happy Thanksgiving!
