Prototyping the Future of Local, Cyclic Manufacturing
It is clear that the future of production has to be local and must be built around a circular economy. We push that goal a step further and relocate production directly to where it is required, by equipping a robotic arm with a 3D printer and mounting them onto an electric rover. Once there, it can autonomously fabricate objects using recycled materials, adapted individually to the constraints of the chosen site.
Die Produktion der Zukunft muss lokal stattfinden und eine Kreislaufwirtschaft aufbauen, nur so kann nachhaltig agiert werden. Wir gehen dabei noch einen Schritt weiter und bringen die Produktion selbst dorthin, wo sie benötigt wird: Vor Ort fertigt ein mobiler Roboter lokal-spezifisch individualisierte Objekte aus rezyklierten Materialien, die von einem Algorithmus an ihre Umgebung angepasst werden.
