Brilliant question and one I should create a video. In short you have to write the summarise query in DAX. You can get that from a table visual in the Power BI report using the analyze performance feature
Hi and thanks so much for your great videos. My organization has been using Reporting Services for years. If we were to migrate our reports from RS to PR (P&L statements for instance), would there be a way to incorporate drill down functionality to paginated reports (let’s say from cost groups to accounts)? We can even drill down further to invoices and follow hyperlinks into invoice pdfs. I thought RS was ancient - will PR bring us forward? Cheers :-)
This is awesome...just one question if our source columns are encrypted using encryption certificate in SQL server then in the report builder how can we decrypt the columns. Somewhere I read that we have to install the same master key in the destination machine. So in this case we have to install on workspace or actual gateway server?
I don't have such options to agregate in query builder. it looks different. My whole data comes from a Power BI model and I use measures from it. I am new to paginated report and i just want to show sum without details on table.
I love these videos and can't wait to do my first paginated report at work.
Very handy ! Thanks for sharing Laura !
You are so welcome!
Thanks Laura.
when data source is Powerbi it doesn't have the Group and Aggregate option. how do we do when source is power bi

@@HatFullOfData123 thanks for the information, looking forward to your videos with source as power bi
@HatFullOfData123 I had the same issue, so a video would be great 😀

Great question. I don't know the answer but let me see if I can get you an answer
