Having been to the three major areas of Portugal and I live in Boston Massachusetts currently. I feel like Porto and Boston are similar. There's a river in both as well as close to the Atlantic coast. They also have an old world feel to them.
Portugal was the most safe country in the world to live until recently … the country is experiencing a massive wave of crime of many types. It became not a safe country for women in particular. Even the media is avoiding to speak about it as it will affect the image of the country internationally. If you are a woman please only catch the official black and green taxis in Portugal as they are safe and avoid other types of taxis. Be safe and be aware.
What a load of misinformation. Firstly, Portugal was never the most safe country in world, the highest we were was 3rd and now we're in 7th. Secondly, there's no "massive wave of crimes" going on in the country and thirdly, there's no evidence or stats whatsoever to back up the claim that women are being victim of harrassment or violence in the TVDEs (a.k.a App Taxis).

Absolutely! Porto and Boston do share that unique charm-historic vibes, riverside views, and proximity to the Atlantic. It’s a great observation! 😊
Thank you! So, you've been to Boston?
