- Embarking on my very first bus journey from Hong Kong to Macau. I began my adventure at Hong Kong International Airport, hopped on Bus B4, and headed to the Hong Kong port. From there, we embarked on a mesmerizing 55km ride across the world's longest sea bridge, connecting Hong Kong to Macau. The view from the bus is simply breathtaking, with China's bustling city of Zhuhai on the right and the charming Macau on the left. This cross-border bus journey adds a touch of romance and allure, which is particularly enchanting for me, hailing from the island nation of Japan. Join me as I explore the sights and sounds of Macau!
If you're looking for the cheapest way to travel from Hong Kong to Macau, consider the HZMB Shuttle Bus, often fondly referred to as the Golden Bus. This shuttle service operates around the clock, allowing you to conveniently traverse the remarkable Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge in just 45 minutes. Travelers can each bring one suitcase, adhering to specific size and weight guidelines. Tickets can be easily purchased at the passenger port ticket counters, with prices starting at just 8 US Dollars. It's important to note that the bus stops are situated at the Boundary Crossing Facilities, which are on the outskirts of the cities, necessitating potential additional transportation to access the shuttle bus stops.

Nice video! What time does the latest bus depart to Macao?
Buses to Macau run around the clock. From 8:00 to 22:00, they come every 15-20 minutes, leaving when full, so there's no fixed schedule. Between 22:01 and 23:30, it's every 30 minutes. After that, buses run at 0:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, and 7:30.
Thank you! And are there any Taxi apps in Macao?
Personally, I didn't use taxis during this trip to Macau because I thought the central area would be very crowded, making it difficult to catch a taxi.
Thanks for your help!
@@BeyondTheEastPlus Thanks. This is very helpful! Also, what times is the Bus B4 available from the airport? Our arrival is late night and we plan to stay somewhere near before hopping on that bus ride to the HK Port
Where did the shuttle bus end in Macau?
The shuttle bus ends at the Macao Border Gate of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
Thanks for sharing! Do you know if the luggage size restrictions on the bus is super strict?
Travelers are allowed to bring a suitcase with dimensions not exceeding 30″ x 20″ x 13″ and a weight limit of 20 kg.
So total 64 plus 9 hkd to travel from HKIA to Macau ?
Thank you for inquiring about the fares. The cost for the journey is as follows:
- The fare from the airport to Hong Kong Port is 9.1 HKD.
- The fare from the airport to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Frontier Post is 65 HKD.
- The fare from Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Frontier Post to Macao Central is 6 HKD.
The total fare for the entire journey is 80.1 HKD.
Hey Hi Great Information
One question, From B4 To Hong Kong Port Is the Bus Free or do we need to pay ??
The fare for the B4 bus from Hong Kong Airport to the departure point at Hong Kong Port is 9.1 HKD. So, you'll need to pay for the bus service.
Hi thx for the video. Where to buy tickets for the B4 bus to the HK Port? Also do you think it’s necessary to buy the golden bus tickets to Zhuhai online in advance? Seems easy enough to buy at the HK Port.
In Hong Kong, bus fares are paid in advance, so when boarding from the front, you pay the fare.
I'm not familiar with buses bound for Zhuhai, as I only traveled to Macau this time. For the bus to Macau, I purchased the ticket directly at the Hong Kong Port counter without any advance reservation.
