when i was a young kid my parents had a 59 sedan de ville flat top, boy what a car.it would just float down the highway.it was a light yellow color with a white top. we took many trips to the grand parents house in tyler tx. about 250 miles away. it was really enjoyable back then

Beautiful '59 Coupe de Ville, and a true Coupe de Ville at that! Not a Series 62 coupe (which was the least-expensive Cadillac for that year) that someone is trying to pass off as a Series 63. Well done! Also, if I'm not mistaken, one option group (number 13?) gave you the electric trunk release and it included fog lamps, Cruise Control and power door locks. My Fleetwood came with power vent windows but the original buyer apparently did not want to pay for the extra optional equipment.

I love it when folks try to make the car as original as possible. I think it makes the car happy too! I bought my first collectible car when I turned 40...a '78 VW convertible.I thought to myself "when I turn 50 I want a '59 Caddy." After all of the money I spend on keeping the VW in top shape...and its considered a beginners classic car...I can't imagine how much a Caddy would take to maintain. I would probably have to sell my house and live in the Caddy.
Just buy one :) but yes you will need a good budget ;)

It looks like the only options the original owner didn't buy were cruise control, chrome Fleetwood 'rockets', Eldo wheel covers and leather bucket interior.

Those items were avilable only on Fleetwoods and Eldos. This is a Coupe.

gorgeous. everyone loves the '59 fins, but my fav part is the bubble top roofline of the CdV...gives it such a light and airy feeling. i have a '58, and although it has a very different cowl and roof line, a lot of the detailing is the same that Cadillac carried over from year to year, like the diecast ribbing in the dashboard and the bullets in the front grill

Nice car but no way the car has 71000 miles and is all original. The engine compartment has been painted with the wrong blue by the way. The exterior has been as you admit. While a very nice car the car has had a partial restoration. Even the dashpad is too good. They all got deformed yours is too perfect. The rest of the interior and trunk looks original and it is a nice car but partially restored at one point.
Hi Mr Brick. What i mean with original is that i have not changed anything. Alot of ppl put airbags on them, custom wheels and custom interior and removing the trim etc etc. i want the car to look as close i can get it when cadillac built it back in the day. soo yes that is the actual milege of the car just over 71200 miles, it had one repaint as i said in the video 10 years ago. im the one that has replaced the dash and i know the colour is a little bit "wrong" in enginecompartment and that bothers me ;) also the rear bumper is rechromed, new exhaust, rebuilt brakes and more. i bought it from a collector in Arizona januari 2015. THX Brick for your comment i hope you are a big car enthusiast like i am. sry for my gramma and spelling.
