    Absolutely fantastic. Assume you will be keeping this car permanently. I have my parents 58 sedan. Lifelong Southern California car. In great shape. My parents bought it in 1960. Mom gave it a me in 1982. Its now been in the family 62 years. It has factory AC, power windows, wonderbar radio. All were options back then . And all the headlights are original also, still working, but I haven't driven it at night for decades now lol. Enjoy that magnificent vehicle!!

    That's a beautiful machine sir!! That's a car I've always wished as well, but here in Europe is quite hard to get any kind of american car... I wanted a '58 Plymouth so bad and finally could manage to afford bringing one from USA, it had to be a 4 door sedan one in need of complete restoration as I did it with no knowledge at all and knowing no one in USA at the moment... With time I've met many people in the states, seen way more cars, etc... But well, what I've got here is my proud 4 door sedan. Doing a full restoration here is something crazy, each and every part has to come from the states, expensive shippings, customs.... But up to this day I've completely rebuilt the engine, the transmission, brakes, etc... And made the car street legal here. Now I am collecting parts, like an original power steering system, power brakes, etc... All original parts that need to be restored as well... All that ends by being a crazy amount of work, people helping, time, money, etc... But one day it'll be finished and a unique car arround here, its like I just can't wait for it, and who loves cars as much would understand and, just like yours, never for sale.

    I thought factory AC was only an Eldorado Biarritz option. Did not know it was available on other models. Does it have self leveling suspension? Or was that only in 60? I used to know these things, starting to forget.

      Air conditioning was not standard, my Aunt's friend had a ,63 convertible that her husband bought her when they got engaged end of 63, bought new in the East Bay area near San Francisco and they didn't need air in that location. Wasn't the 62 serries below the DeVille?

    • @LynxStarAuto
      @LynxStarAuto 5 років тому +1

      califdad4 well the latter I do know. 6200 was the entry level. However, far from prole. These were gems on wheels. Extravagance was not lacking.
      The 6200 was available in Sedan 4-4, and 4-6 (doors/windows), a hard top coupe, and the convertible (this example) topped that trim line.
      Deville was the 6300 series, and was available in 4-4, 4-6 sedan, and hard top coupe.
      6400 was a 2 door only in Eldorado Seville hardtop, and convertible Biarritz.
      6900 was the Eldorado Brougham this was the sedan 4-6 configuration only.
      The final chassis was the 6700. These were the various Fleetwoods and commercial chassis. All 4 door sedans, with 4 or 6 windows. Except for limos and ambulances which were 7 window.
      All brought the 390 standard except for Eldorados which brought the Eldorado 390 V8.

    • @califdad4
      @califdad4 5 років тому

      I liked the 4-4 or better known as the Flattop, that was my personal favorite sedan. When I was a kid, my neighbors nephew and his wife would come over and they had a red 59 Cadillac Convertible her father had given them for a wedding present, really pretty car . Cadillac sold a ton of these in 1959 and I remember seeing lots of them on the Roads driving around California on short trips. My Moms Cousin had a 60 6 window sedan in black. My Aunts friend told me her husband paid just a little over $4000 for that 63 Convertible new

    This magnificent Man made Creature are the most Gorgeous, Class, Elegant ... etc. Just looking at it, it magically enlivens my Soul and Spirit. This Creature encodes the American Spirit of Extasy and Supreme Status Symbol which makes the one driving it showing of like a King. It is like Doris Day beauty with class that can never be God-Made better Lool. This is how the Great US makes this abundance pride available within the hands of all people, FYI. the English (i.e. UK) royal class since the 40s then till the 80s was so envious of Americans and in a state of dislike toward Extravagant Big Americans due to that reason, because the so called royalty do not like Rolls Royces to be available in the hands of commoners (discusting). Keep this Jewel preserved in a temperature controlled closed environment, and try to dream to have a real big house so you can put that beauty along with other Cadillacs on a special ward. Enjoy your Heaven and Take Care. John Jack Kaplanian.
