Funny to hear you speak my language, won’t bash you, you’re doing Ok, searching for technical terms is normal, I struggle the same in english but i’m pretty sure with a little practice it will all come back to you. To be honest your videos helped me a lot when I had to teach driving in english (we’ve had a few indian persons at the driving school and they understand english way better than french most of the time even if they’ve been here a few years already). Nice lap, oil temp got up a bit also 125-130°C thank you for the video.
Remember some time in 2002 , my friends and i were walking home from school on empire road ,Parktown Johannesburg.Driving towards us was a brand new steel grey E46 m3 , we motioned to the driver to floor it and he instantly dropped two gears on the smg and went WOT. The sound of that s54 screaming past us at full chat is to this day one of the best memories of my early 20's
i have a soft spot for the e30 M3, but for sheer "holy crap this thing goes" performance, the e46 M cars were soooo good. and a CSL on top of it, stripped down raw performance.
The chassis and the design and the engine are great. The styling is horrible. They should have stopped after the E21, anything after that was just over egging the pudding.
@@jomaking3608 c'est clair qu'il avait un peut de mal, mais en meme temps la plus part du temps c'est en anglais, meme certain français parle en anglais sa facilite le partage
E46 M3 are criminally underrated, at least here in the states. It was caught in a weird spot as the last NA I6 M motor, before the turbo HP wars began. Its destined to be a classic.
For having to change cars with different drivetrains, one to the next, foot work was awesome and the your balance seemed quite well!! Cheers Misha, this channel sure is a gem!!
Important thing to note, your traction control might have still been on. In the e46 you have 2 states of traction control off on the 01 and later models. One is pressing the button once, which partially disables tc, the next state is completely off after holding the button for about 3 seconds. From the looks of things this was a post 01 model and the understeer u experienced was possibly traction control as the owner just pressed the button once. Edit 1: (You know what, looking at the headlights they seem to be pre-lift, so I am probably wrong) Edit 2: Yeah, at 0:01 brake warning light should have been on if TC was fully off. So TC seems to have still been on.
On normal E46s it's like he said. On normal M3s it's off with the yellow circle in the middle. If you have the M Track Mode coded and you don't have the yellow M Track Mode circle, it's like on the normal E46s dscoff=mtrack and dscoff+redbrake=off. If you have the circle in the cluster it's obvious in which mode you are.
E46 M3s were made between 2001 and 2005. This is a facelift model looking at the head-unit center console and rear tailights. you're right about the TC. Owner only pressed it once. To fully switch it off you'd have to press and hold. In this case, he didn't switch it off fully.
I'm more interested in something different; the temp gauge showes something like 115*C. In all cars I've driven so far that would mean an engine overheating. If sitting there so stubborn, to my limited experience that always indicated blown head gasket.
E46 M3 is my favourite generation of M3, especially when it's equipped with manual transmission! I also love the shift lights, they're really unique at the time IMO. Yes, there are faster M3, but I still love E46 the most.
Misha been watching you for years bro. You are the man! You seem like a real down to earth kinda guy. I really want to see the track in real life and it will be a pleasure to meet you mate 🙏take care, from Scotland 🏴.
WOWWWW …this e46 M3 really shows your SKILL & pure artistry for driving on a track Misha. This has always been (& always will be) one of my TOP 3 all-time favorite cars. THANK YOU for this amazing upload!!! 🔥🔥
the suspense rises proportionally with the rpm... what a cliffhanger on those 225-width tires.. I like how the mild front grip keeps you well away from oversteer, apart from one moment on the rebound at Kleine Karussell! That car needs some POTENZA RE71RS F 245/45 R18 / R 255/40 R18
This is my favorite Misha lap. It still makes the hair go up on my arm. Not only is the sound of the engine amazing but you can even hear when he mats the gas pedal!

Love my E46 M3, this car needs bigger tires! I run a 265 squared and much less understeer. Not sure what suspension and alignment this one has but could definitely use some adjustment! Great video
Love the E46 M3, for me it is the best looking car ever made and wins hands down for a fast daily drive car that is also practical. Amazing bit of kit. Was so sad when i sold mine, but it was such a fun car to have.
nice lap and car as always just a question: are the laps made with the headlights turned off? it they were on, could we see better the speedocam in the dark parts of the track? love your channel ❤
Thing I noticed watching dozen of these videos - no matter how grippy or how fast the car is, they all take carousel at very similar speeds of 75-85kmh
Oh wouw! The holy grale, the almoste CSL as a manual is such a fantastic car, the color is so nice, to bad they didn't build it that way. Fully focused driver and full send, what a beautiful way to enjoy this car.
I only ever had a 330ci that I bought for 1500 with 185k miles on it but I loved that car to death. It was the most fun car I ever drove and despite being slower than my c5 it was still more fun. I ended up selling it back to the guy that sold it to the dealership I bought it from for 3k a few years later. I got it at cost from the dealer because I knew a guy there and it was misfiring so they weren't gonna fix it. Ended up having the original plugs at 185k miles, i replaced them and the coil packs and the car ran like a dream until i sold it at 210k.

Was he running some camber in the front at all, Misha? Might be why you were experiencing some understeer. As soon as I dialed -2.5deg on my E46 M3 , the front axle came alive on track. I'm at - 3deg now in Cup 2's. I wish I could run the CSL carbon intake, but I live in strict California and wouldn't pass emissions testing unless I removed it every time I had to test. The S54 induction noise is amazing!

Already is a classic and prices reflect that reality

Under rated? Not sure where you get that from, they hold pretty much god like status with most car guys I know!?!
They are definitely rated
