Blender to Unity - How to get the Right Rotation, Scale and Animations

  • You will learn how to easily move all your models from Blender 3.1 to Unity 2021 LTS. You will see how to get the right scale (size), rotation, animations - even with multiple armatures. I have spent last few days to discover an easy process, it seems there are no up to date tutorials so... I created one! I hope you enjoy it!

    I just received amazing tip from prog_meister on reddit: If you create your models facing -Y, your fbx settings should be:
    Apply Scaling: FBX Units Scale
    Forward: -Z Forward
    Up: Y Up
    Apply Unit: yes
    Use Space Transform: Yes
    This will make them face the blue arrow in Unity which is FORWARD. I am used to working in 2d, so I am making my models face RIGHT but I guess having them face FORWARD makes much more sens! Thank you for that amazing tip! :)
