- The Star Wars universe is home to countless unforgettable rivalries: Luke vs. Darth Vader, Boba Fett vs. Han Solo, and now Stephen Colbert vs. Jon Stewart. When the two comedians discover the Star Wars: Force for Change contest, their friendship is quickly discarded for fisticuffs in a duel to discover who is truly the greatest Star Wars fan.
Star Wars: Force for Change is a brand new Star Wars initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm dedicated to finding creative solutions to some of the world's biggest problems. The first Star Wars: Force for Change campaign will raise funds and awareness for UNICEF's Innovation Labs and its innovative projects benefitting children in need.
To support the launch of Star Wars: Force for Change, Disney has committed $1 million, and fans can now donate directly at www.omaze.com/starwars for a chance to appear in Star Wars: Episode VII. By pledging as little as $10 through the Omaze fundraising platform, any eligible supporter will be automatically entered for a chance to win this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The campaign runs from 12:01am PST on May 21st until 11:59pm PST July 25th.
The Star Wars: Force for Change Grand Prize includes:
• Airfare and accommodations to London for one winner and a guest
• Behind-the-scenes access on the closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII as VIP guests of J.J. Abrams
• Winner will have the opportunity to meet members of the cast
• Winner and their guest will then be transformed by makeup and costume teams into a Star Wars character and filmed for a scene in Star Wars: Episode VII

Colbert you're the Lord of the Rings master. Let Jon have this.
I was about to say, don't be so greedy Colbert!
aggrocrow uhhhhhh do u even know Colbert?
Michael Diaz Uhhhh do u even joke bro?
shurednichso neeerrrrrrrrrd
Actually he is the biggest star wars fan too. he won tickets to a screening 2 weeks earlier than the first official release when he was a kid.
"Stewart show Jon Daily speaking."
+Choenden Kyirong I have to wonder if, aside from the joke, that was because Jon was doing this himself and Comedy Central wasn't involved. If so, "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" would be trademarked.
+Dameol Nah, Viacom wouldn't sue Stewart, especially over a call for donations. They'd get an unbelievable amount of criticism, most of all from Jon Stewart.
No offense, but that isn't how trademark law works. Viacom would be legally required to issue a cease and desist notice if their trademark was threatened or risk losing access to it.
+Dameol No offense taken. It's not that I don't understand your point, the use of a trademark in a promotional video like this could be seen legally as a unauthorized endorsement on behalf of Viacom, which certainly would be illegal, but only under certain conditions. Number one, "Stewart Show, Jon Daily" is confusingly similar to "The Daily Show" and therefore is still an infringement. However it doesn't count as infringement if the products or businesses in question are clearly not in the actual or potential product markets as the trademark holders. Another point, idk the specifics of Jon's contract but seeing as he is an executive producer on the show I'd imagine he's authorized to act on behalf of Viacom as far as the Daily Show trademark goes. Perhaps the most important point to make is just how easy it would be for Jon Stewart to acquire authorization to use the trademark, especially since the lawyers that are definitely authorized to act on behalf of VIACOM work for Jon Stewart. I can't imagine Jon Stewart would have thought about the legal ramifications in such depth to reach the conclusion he couldn't use the name of his show rather than just deciding to say something completely different if that was an issue. After considering all this I believe Jon was just making a classic joke.
I laughed when I noticed they couldn't keep a straight face.
"Stephen...I love you." "I know." best part
"My blue Obi wan's lightsaber has no batteries in it."
Tamaki742 ... couldn't he have just put the batteries in the Obi Wan lightsaber?
SailorCrescentPotter He's unprepared for it XD
This made not my day. My whole week xD
"I guess he's dead." Suddenly so serious lol
was everything done in one take? these guys are constantly smiling
how does Stephen Colbert manage to care SO MUCH about everything?
FlannelLemon because he's Stephen Colbert
Grown men playing extreme make-believe... the world needs more of that.
They are trying so hard not to laugh
I am a little embarrassed to admit that I have watched this more than once for the entertainment value of it
EN Fingerhut I like to call that A New Hope.
You can tell through the entire shoot they couldn't keep a straight face.
stewart show, john daily speaking...hahahahahah...wattt?
They had so much trouble not smiling. Hahaha. Amazin.
02:00 I LAUGHED SO HARD I WOKE UP MY PARENTS STOOOP X'D
When I read this I didn't read stop, I read stoop and thought you're parent's names were stoop
+Aty S. Behsam I also had to explain myself
Jon Stewart = Hilarious
Stephen Colbert = Hilarious
Jon Stewart + Stephen Colbert = The Funniest Damn Thing on Earth
I'm not sure what was funnier: Watching these two children "fight", or watching them not trying to laugh. I love these two separately. Together, they're just that much more awesomer.
Awesome video but my thought was " Yeah aren't the Sith the ones with red Sabers". Glad Stephen Colbert caught that.
Yeah but he didn't notice it's an xfx lightsaber and therefore has three light options (blue, green and red) which you can switch, you also have parts for it so you can remake it to be Obi Wan's.
Saobryn Jedi Joe kits are awesome.
MegaCapitalG Red = synthesized crystals for lightsabers.
Thor-Jakob Løberg Not necessarily. some natural red crystals were put into lightsabers, but most of them were synthetic.
Floppy Rodrigo
Darn it why am I so non-knowledgable.
I love how they sort of switch personalities here. Usually, Stephen is the one acting overly theatrical and irrational, and Jon tries to calm him down logically. But here, Jon's the one being silly and dramatic in his Star Wars costumes and Stephen asks him why they can't just do a simple trivia contest. These two are the best! :)
oh jeez i luv them so much
So do we. :)
K-rex Me too
Jon really is the Obi-Wan Kenobi of late night
Did he just say "Stewart Show, Jon Daily Speaking"?
Is it strange that I've never seen Star Wars, yet I understood every second of this. Including the "I know" bit?
Never seen Star Wars, huh? What's it like being shunned from society.
what do you want from me It's kinda hard to enjoy Star Wars when every single plot point is emulated in several kinds of media. I can't make it through because I know everything that's about to happen.
Chris Ray Not to mention if you want to watch a summary of Star Wars, just watch any mainstream cartoon make a parody of it. Basically like watching a Star Wars movie in 30 minutes instead of 2 hours.
LordCalvertWhiskey Why do they bother with any movie? They should just give us the quick summaries -.-
Actually they should because I don't feel like sitting through shit for an hour and a half or more.
I don't see any Vaders in their respective offices. Just sayin'.
Robert Nava I was kinda hoping to see that tbh
Robert Nava
John Oliver would look good in that outfit
They should have had Conan dressed as vader show up to battle them,
amazing! your right InstaPhamous is really working to get followers
man, I just sent you 75+ twitter followers. If you want more, just goto *InstaPhamous. COM*
I wanna see the bloopers
those are the bloopers (O.O)
Dylan Armstrong Lol. This video is legit terrible, but awesome and fantastic because they left the edit to bloopers.
I love you.
I totally thought Stephen was gonna say "I love you too" XDDDDD
Time for Colbert/Stewart
1:29 "My blue Obi-Wan lightsaber had no batteries in it?"
LMFAO!!! XD
Almost spit my cereal over my ipad when Jon popped up as Leia :)
Stewart show, John Daily speaking :D :D :D
They're so adorable
I like how neither of them were taking it too seriously and having fun during the skit.
It's nice to know famous people buy Star Wars reference books too.
The way his voice breaks when he says “my blue obi wan lightsaber had no batteries in it” 😂🥺😂🥺 he literally sounds like he’s 5
KNIFE FIGHT!
I was thinking... trivia contest?
That will work too!!!
"Stewart Show, Jon Daily speaking."
That was so poorly made it became well-made, I love it
Those guys are trying so hard not to lose it entirely, lol.
You have a truly outstanding video here. I certainly liked watching it. Thanks a whole bunch.
I like that they have a hard time keeping it together in these scenes. Just like The Daily Show. :D
I bet they had so much fun making this clip. I laughed my **s off!
The "I love you" and "I know" reference was funny as hell,Specially since Jon was Leia
Oh man, I had food in my mouth when Jon popped up as Princess Leia and I almost choked! XD
Wow, that made my morning. These two have always had such great chemistry together. They could probably just take turns reading an ingredient list and make it hilarious.
When these two guys are together, I always laugh. Such a funny video.
oh that ending... can't stop laughing... so good
Why did i just see this, rather than when it came out?! AWESOME!!!
Oh, I'd love to see the bloopers from this!
I love the "I love you" part XD
Okay, the moment I saw Jon in the robe with the toy lightsaber, I lost it, HAHAHAHAH!! :D
Pfft, I love how they're both almost laughing. This is pretty much a gag reel. It's great.
I must, MUST see the outtakes of this thing! :D
"I want Nothing more", he sounded like a True SITH
I Love how they keep smiling lol
CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!! I Love these guys!!
Hey that's Klepper doing the voiceover. Hi Jordan!
they were trying to hold theyre laughter way too hard at the force pull part. too funny.
This was amazing!
the best improv ever, "I Know"
Is this an Apple ad?
Everything is an ad for something these days.
seriously....did you even watch it?
Some people use apple products :-) sorry about that. Also most if not almost 98% of the people I know who have an iPhone...dont have a macbook or iMac. I have an android phone, but use a macbook and iMac.
They're so brilliantly funny, love them.
I entered into this before this video was posted... but I can see I've already been outclassed.
they are hilarious together
Lol Very nice, keep up the great work!
Haha that WTF contest totally cracked me up !! ^^/
"KNIFE FIGHT." Lmao
I love everything these guys do!!!
I'm sorry. Stup passing by, and I am wondering… could this be, by any chance, the best video in the whole world ?
probs
Literally the best thing I've ever seen
"Live a long time and proper"
- Admiral Han Sulu Adama
I love these two so much!
Fabulous! And a great cause!
May the force be with both of you.
That was hilarious, and I hope these men keep going strong! We need this kind of humor.
They are just too awesome !!!
Even they had more chemistry than Hayden and Natalie.
These are two professional comedians and neither of them could hold back their smiles well at all.. they must have really been having fun.
"If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
If you claim to be the biggest Star Wars fan at least get one of it's easiest to remember quotes right.
You give me my umbrage back!!! Oh man, that killed me :D
i love these two together
This NEVER gets old🤣
"Yeah, Kids, World ... What ever! Keep reading it!" This is hilarious.
The sound Steven makes as he holds back laughter.. 2:08
they're so endearing haha they aren't even trying hard to keep themselves from laughing. such cuties
Love these guys!
I Imagine these trivia duels happen quite often between these two.
As a classy redditor these two men are my heroes! Champions for atheism in the struggle against the fundies! #atheism #reddit
I can identify a true soldier when I see one! And upboat for you, my good sir. May your fedora tip obediently for all the m'ladies every single time. _(tips trilby)_
*_(reddit armie over and out)_*
"Champions for atheism"
or....
Comedians
Champions for atheism? Neither of them has ever identified as an atheist.
Hate to break it to you man, but Colbert is legitimately a Catholic (has acknowledged his Catholicism out of character, in interviews).
The trolling is strong with this one.
I love those two..I really, really do.
this is the most amazing thing.. i have ever witnessed...
Stewart Show, Jon Daily speaking.
This made my day
both of them were so close to cracking up lol
lol, it was all they could do but laugh the entire video. Loved it aye!
This made my day LMAO...
"I guess he's dead"
...
"Is he?"
Aaaand, that's about where I died laughing.
The hell did I just watch?!
I love these guys :D
My boys. So much love
These guys were trying so hard not to laugh, hahahaha
These two are the best.
John looks like Alanis Morissette in that princess Lia outfit.
They are both to awesome. I can't pick a favorite.
