COMMON SENSE IS UNCOMMON ! 30 years tattooing and people shock me over and over with their behavior and actions. Great video that everyone should watch.
Oh man brother I was late to the video! :( I think my phone was messing up I didn’t get the notification! But again killin it loving the content brother!!
I’ve fallen asleep while getting tattooed before.. not drug or alcohol related if someone wants to nap cool... as long as they don’t twitch in their sleep!
I wish I could do a multiple hour session without a break. I have so much nerve damage, damage to my knees, hips from multiple fucked up operations and have random tremors and muscle spasms. So its either I take a break or move position every 10-15 minutes or I end up not being able to walk after an hour or I'm starting to have full body convulsions/twitches and shakes. Trust me I'm in so much pain on the daily that unless you are tattooing my ribs or the sole of my left foot I won't even NOTICE the way the needles feel.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I'm sure of it! 🤣 I see those cronic offenders way too often in the studio being super awkward. I will say that it's nice to see more artists speaking out on topics like these, that a lot of times may just go unsaid, and buried. With that being said though, I've had a few run-ins with artist that should be adopting and applying some of these 10 tips as well lol
Common since? Rare commodity, man. I have to admit, I've haggled and right after, fucking knowing it was wrong, apologized. He did do a great job with a couples tattoo with me and my lady and threw in a half dollar size hand piece for below shop minimum. Can't wait for this California Corona lock down to pass. I GOT THE FEVER BAD!
people go to grocery stores every day, haggle prices, this can is dented, this piece of meat has a vacuum leak, or has a dark spot, these bananas are turning dark, lettuce looks wilted, this birthday car is the last 1 & has a bent edge. those are a few examples, I see it every day.... tired of this life, and looking toward tattooing in future, for a new career
I like to charge extra for each rule they break. Wanna bring your friends? That’ll be $20. a head Haggling? That’ll double the price and add an extra $50. Per hour. Rude? Sorry, I’m booked up, or $500. Shop minimum My prices fluctuate during the tattoo itself. At times I’ve knocked hundreds off the final price, and other times had to end the session completely. Some days I feel like the “soup nazi” of tattoos.

Would love not to take breaks, but every tat artist I had took smoke breaks every 15 minutes or so. Lol
If someone needs to have any of these 10 things pointed out to them, they should definitely skip the tattoo...
Steve Davis the reason I stated all of them because I’ve had all of these things happen to me on the regular for years lol
