thats why nothing changes and never will and people will be ground down into a poverty that you can not even fathom. just look at the last 50 years. what a joke.
Dear Scotia We have the same problem here in the states. Our constitution is the best, and our government is unbeaten at ignoring it. From Iowa...............John
The problem with the Truss mini-budget was the pretence that the country could afford tax cuts without cutting expenditure, which she said she would not do. It was dishonest. But then, Boris was hooked on big government expenditure, and the Tory Party can't cure itself of the addiction.
What Truss seems to not understand is that she had to convince people and bring everybody with her instead of just announcing the policies and expecting everyone to respect the democratic mandate that she didn't have.
I fully agree that the priority was to get the Brexit done, and that the last election was essentially about carrying through with the public will as expressed in the referendum. I do worry that what happened to Boris will be seen as going back to a lack of respect for the democratic choices of the nation. We voted for Boris and his policies, and instead he was removed and we have had Truss and now Sunak that the nation did not vote for. I would like Boris to come back and be PM again, but has he made too many enemies in the Tory party to be able to command his position?
in short, yes. he also filled the benches with people that were unable to oppose him. most tory party members want boris back, but unfortunately the damage his leadership caused and subsequent depature fallout means the end of tory government for probably a generation or more. more and more people swing to left as they get older now rather than to the right, many of those growing up over the last 12 -13 years have only known the right and the see their futures in tatters and uncertain and want a change. probably wont get the change they desire but they will see voting tory as an absolute no no.
@@karmah88 I don't really agree with the idea that his leadership caused damage. I think he was divisive among Tory MPs for going through with Brexit, and the old Europhiles such as John Major and Michael Heseltine will never forgive him for that. I agree they will lose the next election but it's because they got rid of Boris. If MPs should learn anything from Brexit it is that democratic mandates must be respected.
The only way JRM’s policies are going to be given a fair evaluation is if JRM is the PM who executes the policies. JRM is doing himself and his policies a disservice by not trying to be PM and executing them.
Isn’t it time to give JRM a chance to steer the ship.
No. Starmer maybe
I'm afraid the Tories are out at the next election and I say that as a lifelong Tory. It's been a shambles.
Not Tories, right wing nutjobs just posing as leaders.

Probably be better for the party to lose and clean itself up, a repeat of the last few years can't go on, imagine another 5 years of this 😅
The biggest problem is that MP's are acting as if Parliament, therefore themselves, are sovereign. The people are sovereign, not Parliament.

@knock'em out John Just John Yes, Trump was a disaster. Hopefully he will be in jail soon
@@knockemoutjohnjustjohn2763 violent revolution now. its all they understand.
I'd like to see MOGG as PM , the so-called conservative party leadership we have now is slightly right of Stalin
Right of starlin? Don't be stupid. Its centrist at worst. Its got problems but its still better than Labour .
And mog is what? Other than an idiot dressed up as a 1920s undertaker. Who partakes in nanny's bitty bitty
JRM for PM. Please.
It would be better for all of us if got voted out and just stuck to bitty bitty.
There’s no chance of another Tory government after Rasheed Sanuok and Jeremy Gunt
