I always try to chose a sitting place in the wiev when look at these ocean videos. In this video there is none during the first fifteen minutes.:D I tried to imagine how it was to sit on this little rock island when the wave comes by, and I had to laugh when I saw myself trying to stay there under a huge wave.

Do you have one from the Mavericks waves in Half Moon Bay that happen every year around November I think? The thing that attracts a lot of surfers?

Does anyone know where this place is? My greatest dream is to get there to see and hear and feel this for real.
It says Pacific Coast, so California, Oregon, Washington states. I'm in CA hopefully they will answer you the exact spot. I've been out around Half Moon Bay and there are rocky outcroppings there. Try google earth for a virtual tour of the coastline. (of course, the Pacific ocean also hits japan, and the hawaiian islands, alaska. etc.)

Recorded in the afternoon during a 35 foot monster swell in the Winter. But be careful out there on big days along the California coast, people can get swept out to sea by sneaker sets.

Reminds me of my honeymoon 5 years ago , my new bride and I were in Hawaii , I took her out on rock area, something similar..well long story short a huge wave came and engulfed us, I was able to cling to the rock , unfortunately my wife was swept out to sea ..oh well, I still have my savings at least ..

Come to the California's Monterey Peninsula in winter to see seas like this. Big waves aren't a constant, but they're more likely to happen then - just remember to dress for cold and damp conditions that can seep down to your bones. Some of the best places are along the Pacific Grove and Carmel coastlines.
