When you think English isn’t her first language, she’s sitting down, playing with her new birthday present mike holding it backwards, and doing this from the heart in only one take. There are no words in the English language to express how I feel, just pure chills. Can you imagine what’s to come? Hang on!
Child prodigy. Started singing at 1-1/2. Won Norway's Got Talent at 7/8. Performs barefoot since meeting a poor girl weighing people for money. Angelina was six. She struck up a conversation with the poor barefoot girl. The girl had scars on her feet. Angelina took her shoes off and gave them to the girl. She vowed never to perform with shoes until all children had shoes
Angelina published a book about the encounter when she was 9. Youngest published author in Norway. She has helped raise millions for charities. She is a very humble person and loves her family deeply. Also loves her devoted fans. Turned 15 Jan 10th, 2021.

I have listened to countless covers of this classic I'd Rather Go Blind song and none matches this performance by this little 12 years old girl sitting on a couch at her home studio. She sang with such fearless attitude. She in fact has been thought of the next jazz/blue queen to bring back the good ol' music to the contemporary world. and we all hope she will succeed. She has done many covers but she has a number of originals. Her latest original music video was actually dropped last week. 7th Heaven. The tune is fantastic.

Yep. She's got that in her voice, but she's really got it in her soul. She covered Billie Holiday when she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent at the age of SEVEN. She covers Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald like nobody else.
The picture that comes to mind every time I hear this video is hearing the front door cjose and Angelina saying, "Hi Mom. I'm home from school. Oh look! The new microphone came.' Then she plugs it in and does this masterclass on blues while singing into the back side of the mic. Unbelievable.

She is 12 years here! Angelina is in my opinion by far the biggest versatile talent we now have in music. She seems like she can sing everything she wants, everything from country, pop, and jazz ... She is not a show of artist as a singer, but a communicator to lucky us! Many people forget that she is only 15 years old today because she is so mature for her age. She still goes to school. and I think everyone on her team including the record company (Public Record). slows down a bit with marketing her fully. She is so good anyway, and delivers music that lasts, and not music hits that last for 1 month. (Google translate)

You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (125+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Etta James to Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. You definitely get Angelina. She pays tribute to Etta, but makes it her own. She does that with so many covers that will blow you away. And yes, everything Angelina sings is effortless. What you’re wrong about because this is your first song from Angelina is that her voice is not really a perfect match for Etta. What Angelina does is choose a voice that fits whatever style she sings. It’s something you have to see to believe. To understand what she can do, just watch I Put a Spell on You that she did at 9 years old. Find that black and white version. It’s the one with millions of views. Or watch her at 13 singing her own arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. Or her cover with a big band of Feelin Good. All completely different styles and vocals, but she kills them all. You’ve never heard a singer like Angelina.

Great reaction. Please do yourself the biggest favor ever and don't wait for Angelina to get older. You have more than 130 performances to shock and amaze you. Angelina has the most soulful, emotional voice of my 62 years and is the only one to ever make me cry. Angelina is a true music prodigy but the only one who specializes in vocals. If you react a few more times to our barefoot princess, in the next couple weeks then you get my SUB (and likely a couple thousand more). Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for her.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019.
Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farci, English and Japanese.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7.
Angelina at age 6 and 7 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on UA-cam recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.”
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
The next performance on NGT was her cover of Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. Angelina’s acapella performance is astounding especially for a girl who had just turned 8.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them.
In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old.
On June 27, 2018 Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London.
Angelina performed on America’s Got Talent The Champions which aired in January 2020. She earned the Golden Buzzer for her performance of her arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She sang her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the Finals but didn’t make it into the final 5 contestants. There is much debate over how and why Angelina was eliminated.
Angelina has covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, all of which are available on UA-cam. In August 2020, her manager and uncle Michael Astar announced Angelina has signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Angelina Jordan is a humble, compassionate young lady of very few words when she is not singing. She is on videos saying she wants to sing for the entire world and also that she wants to improve the quality of life for all the children on Earth. She has helped to raise millions of dollars for children’s charities and environmental causes.
Musicians who have worked with her have been quoted saying Angelina is among the most talented musicians they have worked with and she is the boss in the room when rehearsing. Remarkable for a girl of few words when not singing. For Angelina, it is all about the music and not her.

Her influence for her music came from her Grandma who always played Jazz type of music. Her mom wanted Angelina to learn songs like twinkle twinkle little star but she loved the Jazz, and the rest is history. Versatile as she is, she does everything in style and always finds the right way. She is able to channel like noone else, I know. Considering, how young she was and still is, this is somehow not real.

Thank you for your reaction video, I really enjoyed it, it felt like hanging out with you guys and listening to Angelina Jordan.😊 Here's some info about Angelina: She's currently 15, she won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8, she gave concerts all around the world already and appeared on TV multiple times. In addition to singing she plays 4 instruments, she paints and she also wrote a book. Her unique style is heavily influenced by jazz. She covered over a hundred classics of different genres. She hasn't got many originals as of yet, but she recently has signed with a major record label (Republic Records), so from this year forward more originals are expected to be released. Angelina is not only talented, she's also a very kind-hearted person, she performs barefoot to fight child poverty and she raised millions of dollars for children's charities.

This was from the time (she was 12yo I think) when Angelina was experimenting with many different genres of music and killing them all.
It is fun to see a first review by someone who will often say her voice is perfect for this style because she is perfect in every style.
Please do more Angelina. Her performances on America's Got Talent the Champions at 13yo would be a good place to start as would her performances on Norway's Got Talent when she was 7yo. Last year she signed her first deal with Republic Records and released to songs she wrote herself and a brilliant Adel cover.

If you really want to have your brain bent, you should watch Angelina’s arrangement of I Put a Spell On You, Black and White version. She’s channeling the original singer Screaming Jay Hawkins. A little girl in a white dress will blow your mind, it’s the most awesome perfect video.

You have not even scratched the surface of her ability. You will hear something totally unexpected and often times mind blowing with each and every one of her tunes that you select. Her covers fall into 2 categories. At least as good as the original or better than the original with many in the latter category. She absolutely puts several originals by huge stars to shame. If you see a cover of hers of Adele, John Legend, or Rihanna for example, be prepared to hear how the original should have been done. Angelina has done several Adele covers and all of them are better than the original. Try them and see for yourself. Her latest is ALL I ASK. Try that one and see what she can do at 15 with a Adele tune.

Start from the beginning, at age seven, and go from there. You could do reaction videos for nearly a year and each one would blow your minds as she alters her voice to match the artist and song. Read her bio first, you will learn where her heart is and why she always performs barefoot. You have a great video program and it will go far if you do this. Not only for Angelina's songs but for your understanding of where many of today's hits originated. The two of you present an image that shows an appreciation for real talent.
