DancewithKJ iPhone 5 is the best and it's cheap but if you just want to show off buy the iPhone 6, literally people just buy it to show off that "Apple" logo. So if you want a iPhone for cheap get iPhone 5, but if you want to look really expensive buy an iPhone 6. I recommend you get any iPhone 32 GB or more.
More than 1 new feature... New home button, better processor, better co processor, 2 new colors, a 128 gb model... This wasn't meant to be a lot different. If it were intended to be a big change, it would be the iPhone 6. Damn fandroids have to sell apple short to cover the fact that they cant afford the luxury of an apple product. Thats just sad.

Phones are slower when their battery is dying. The 5 was slower because it was dying, the 5s however still had a reasonable amount of battery life.

The iPhone 5 and 5s will begin to struggle when iOS 10 is released. updates are meant to slow older devices down so you will buy the newer device.
Darian Carmichel 5 will struggle, it already is struggling with iOS 9. The 5S will not, it's the same device as the new iPod Touch 6 and the 6 is just slightly more powerful than the 5S. The jump from the 5S to the 6 was minimal aside from the screen size. Check some benchmarks and performance, the 5S will not die any time soon, Apple made it too overpowered.
exactly and i get where you are coming from but i disagree. Yes, the 5s is an amazing phone but it will not last. Apple will make iOS 10 dense and whoever updates their phone will be ruining it. i own a 5s and 6s. my 6s is basically as quick as my 5s was on iOS 7. I don't plan on updating my 6s past iOS 9. iOS 10 will slow down my 6s to make the 7 look even quicker.

well he is in fact clicking the apps faster each time.
I had an iphone 5, I loved it and it worked great, but after 8 months my power button broke, and the battery life really irritated me. Now I have the galaxy s5, it's an awesome phone.... I mainly love it because of the battery life. If apple has a better battery for their next phone, I would probably want to get it :)

I have currently got a iPhone 4s and I am buying a new iPhone but not sure which to get out of the 5 and the 5s? is there any major differences? I have been looking and there is about £100 ish difference are the extras of the 5s worth it?
A lot of people have had problems with blue screens and resets and such, but I haven't experienced this with my 5s. No blue screens but it has reset once or twice, but my iPod touch I had before would reset 4+ times a day on iOS 7.
Space grey sexy as hell with they aluminum on the back, it goes great which each other. Im getting the space grey 5s next month
I also like how the screen blends in & its all black looks really stealthy with the new touch ID looks good
Space grey also shows the most wear when scratched, that's one thing I hate about anodized stuff -.-

I had an iPhone 5S from 2014 to now 2019 March until I got the iPhone XR. Tbh it’s a great phone. I didn’t see a point in upgrading until I saw the iPhone 8 but if it could still run the new iOS I think I’d get it

You can see that the 5s has service where the older 5 is disconnected, that will probably make a difference in terms of speed. Also, the battery is at different levels.
Jeez, I barely notice any difference between the 5 and the 5s - I'm going to be going for my first ever smart phone in the next few months and I was originally itching for the "all pimped out" 5s gold until I noticed the re-sale prices on these things - (even used scratch and dent specials) all I could say was - WHOAAA!! ! They want like just about $100 less for last years model than the brand new 6. So thanks (a little late) for posting that video, you made my mind up for me.
I mean my 7 yr old Macbook 13" white is worth "maybe" $50 for parts on gazelle (I just bought a brand new Oct 2014 Mac Mini, but I don't expect to get near sticker price for it a year from now, maybe half if I wanted to sell it that soon). If I'm dropping upwards of $300.00 on a phone (A PHONE) I'd expect it to last me a few years.
Looked around at the 5s prices and they want upwards of $400.00 - USED scratched and dented - new is still about $550.00 (whaaaat?!?) Sorry, but that's wayyyy too much to spend on a phone - so , for me, the 2 year old iphone 5 is good enough. Just have to decide if I want white or black -- For me it's decent enough and would probably last me years as I can't understand nor want to be any part of the mania associated with having to get the newest smartphone constantly.
I'll just be entering the whole smart phone arena, and I can't see dropping as much or more than I just spent on a brand new computer for a - PHONE. Will get a month to month plan for like $45 plus tax no contracts.

If you are waiting for the iPhone 6, it comes out in November 2014, the only difference is a Chip with a higher number. Still hasn't got Flash. Still doesn't support 1080p html5 videos. To cut a long comment short, same phone, different number at the end. And the battery will still run out before the end of the day. I have an HTC One X and iPhone 5c Blue, a phone is a phone. They are all the same. It's the battery life I am more interested in than anything. The minute you start watching videos or playing a game, the battery is down to 50% in no time, then I watch some Netflix. I am lucky to have 10% battery by 5pm in the afternoon. Sometimes you are better off with a Tablet device and just buy a cheap phone for making calls.

The iPhone 5S and iPad Air Combo is great. If you can loosen up your pocket for the Power-Packed Duo, you will simply get addicted to Apple's strong ecosystem and services (specially iCloud). I have been only using Apple Products for some 3 years now, with 2 iPhones and an iPad, Trust me, I never ever miss my Galaxy S2 (dated Early 2011) But I love Nexus 5 and KitKat 4.4 ;)

I think Apple purposely don't optimise the newer iOS versions to the older generation chips (A6 on the iPhone 5) to make the older phones seem slower.

Bought 5S gold few weeks back, loving it...fast and accurate no hanging what so ever.
If you can afford a high end smart phone, go for Apple...Samsung/Nokia are simply a second fiddle.
Regarding battery life, it is good like any other smart phone lasts for a day and a half...but then unlike all other smart phones, iPhone 5S charges 100% super quick, 20mins max!

Definitely get the 5s. You get a much faster 64-bit CPU, a coprocessor and a fingerprint sensor which will be very handy. Night shift and some apps aren't compatible with the iPhone 5 too.
There's no need to upgrade a 5 to a 5s, a 4 to a 4s or whatever. Apple just makes this little upgrades so they get some easy money while they build the real deal (From iphone 3 to 4, from iphone 4 to 5, and etc.) Dont be dumb with your money at least you got a lot to spare lol, I think it's only worth it to buy a new iPhone when a full new version comes out, not this "s" updates. Even the 4s at this moment is stil a preety decent phone. Dont buy stuff for the sake of it

Maybe use the effin 4g or lte. While running on wifi everything shares near same speed no matter the specs of the fone unless they are 3+ years older. Browser and wifi comparison is a gimic.

Ive been an iPhone user since ip4 and upgrade it every few years. I just randomly thought, 'how about I buy all the iphones that i dont have yet? ( of course, id only be buying second hands now ) itll be pretty fun see all models bc i only have the 4, 6s, 7 plus, 11, and 12. All still working fine.
