For those who don’t know this is kinda real. The instrumental is from a 1989 demo (yes with steven) with demos for Don’t Damn Me and Garden of Eden. The vocal is the final album vocal extracted (i’m assuming using ai as the stems aren’t publicly available). Whoever made this did a pretty damn good job of editing them together tho! Awesome to listen to, but slightly misleading title
They also have a key song writer as well, Izzy. GNR was a perfect collaboration of 5 people that will never happen again. I wish they would have stayed together but shit happens

But, the music sounds raw and great. Who knows if this is Adler. He said in his book the only tune he did from uyi is civil war.

Steven's drumming played an important role in Appetite. GnR really did Steven dirty by firing him and have continued to do him dirty 30 years later by not including him in the reunion tour. Let's be honest Axl and Slash have sounded awful at times during the reunion, but Steven is on the sidelines.

Steven was messed up. Slash even had to admit it. Dude had and has had serious problems since. Not taking anything away from him, he is the best drummer for GNR but the guy can’t be relied upon. The time for GNR to come back truly has long passed anyways. Just best to appreciate the good music they left between 85-93

They offered him to come back for the rock in Rio gig (matts first show) and he couldn’t do it, you expect them to sit and wait and cancel shows for a heroin addict to get clean? They were the biggest band in the world your logic is twisted on this, who was by the hospital bed after his overdose? Only so much they can take before enough is enough
Read the goddam books. Steve was a total fuckup. Couldn't function. Difference between him, Duff and Slash was the latter could still play. Izzy made a choice he couldn't do both.
Steven had the back injury. He couldn't do it without being a liability. It's a multimillion tour. You wouldn't want to risk that using an injured drummer would you? Same with Izzy. Reliability issue. Although Izzy stated it was due to the pay. They didn't want to split evenly etc It's obviously a shame. But considered Axl already had his band. And the core of GNR is considered to be Axl, Slash and Duff. The rest is expendable/replacable. By hired guns if you will.
I know it sounds cynical but I wonder if he wrote More lyrics because of inspiration or if he wrote More lyrics to keep from getting sued from Steven Adler?

If only they kept him the songs would of sounded more bluesy rock n roll and even though I loved it as a kid they sound to tight and forced now and I just don't like Matt's no feel power drumming. I don't know how to articulate it as not a drummer but I'd never have a drummer that sounds like Matt unless it was industrial music
Definitely, Steven is like the Slash of drums. He has legendary swagger, and makes it look effortless. He doesn’t need to hide his smile, and rocks the cowbell like an outlaw ;)

This is fake AF at least as far as Axls vocals are comsidered. Those are from the studio outtake. Different tempo. Different edits, whick makes it outta tune which Axl never was. I just don’t understand why ppl have to make these fake things up. Axl never sang at rehearsals, and it would at least have been authentic if only the edited vocal’s wouldn’t have been added to it. So lame.
Matt Sorum blew this guy away. Steven was great for old school tunes and of course the legendary Appetite. Other than that, this mix is crap. I believe it’s originally an instrumental track, which is cool either way.
