Nice job , I’m in middle of doing my xr2i . & same places of rot . But mine needs the lower front valance also crossmember saved though. The sunroof leaked bad mould has destroyed the roof cloth . Looking forward keeping up with your progress 👍🏻

@11.00 minutes that little plate that somebody bodged up is a genuine ford part,very tidy panel work by the welder will be mint once done
I didn’t relise that was a standard part , thought someone had put it on to hold the sills together lol

The little plate with holes in is for the side skirt bracket 😉

Going to be a nice lil car once you've finished it.
Generally speaking, that's a quite good shell mate, should indeed be happy about it given it's a 90s Ford, which like to rot like a bean can in a salt mine. Those rusted corners at 0.53 are the result of the A pillars leaking into the firewall, i.e. Ford being cheap enough not to add a proper grille over the vents at the windscreen seat ... be sure to fix that after welding or they will come up again soon enough :-( Good job on the sills BTW, any fendered MK3 is always hiding horrors underneath!

I have a project in a similar state but i havent a clue on costs involved with welding, obviously every car is different but itll give me an idea.

How bad was our lower corner off the o/s/f wing where meets the valance? I’m looking for a panel cut as rest of wing sound

dont bin that small angle it ment to be on car for body kit. my roof lining had hot glue on. run sun roof pipes out sills. so the dont rot again
Yeah we have run the pipes out the sills 👌👌 i havnt chucked it yet so will keep it lol
