Fair play to you though. would love to have a claim to fame myself as good as this one! This is one of my all time fav songs / performances. And so it would appear that you sir, are partly responsible. Although it has to be said... you're not the best bit ;-)
@@kennyyoung3544 Hi Kenny yes c'est moi! How are you doing old bean? I still post music: www.soundcloud.com/phil-mcwalter. So your help and support lit a candle that has never blown out! Thank you!
Simply beautiful. Both the song and noosha. Where are these kind of songs, performance and innocence these days? A golden era that could never be replicated. I play this regularly on the jukebox down our local. The guys at the bar love it. They give me money to put in to "find some of your songs". Would love to see them back together for a one off gig. Tremendous. X
love this song - I have fond memories just listening to it - so glad it was uploaded to UA-cam. The drummer in this video was my cousin Martin David (RIP)
I had trouble getting this when itcame out. my record shop didnt know it and I had to order it special. Its been in my all time top ten ever since. What an accent, and she is an Australian I think.
Noosha sounds totally timelessly experimental and edgy and sings great. Great band playing slightly reggae. Young poets / musicians I come across nowadays would like those.
So odd that the lyrical twist in the tale/shock reveal is that Georgina’s uncle is gay - whereas the fact that she desires an incestuous relationship with him seems to slip by without comment.
Georgina Baillee was Andrew Sachs' grandaughter who shagged Russell Brand and then got outed on the Johnathan Ross show and then ended up hanging around with a badly ill Adam Ant. and nicking her ex bandmates songs.
Think lonely girl standing alone and desolate on a bridge in fog strewn Paris at six in the morning after a night at a Russian Consulate party rejected by her older lover - gender unknown - with a bottle of cognac in her left hand and a solitary delicate silver handmade shoe in her right still pining for that incestuous affair with her uncle that never was back in old Marseilles...............ahh In reality what is on display is Noosha in a gastly appearence on BBC's TOTP in 1977 dressed as a St Trinians bad girl with the rejected auditionees from Rock Follies behind her - what on earth!!! To add insult to one's visual memory of Noosha - the drummer from said rejects rips a baguette apart with his mouth - sweet lord almighty - save me from my sins !! This of course is the truly delicious Susan Traynor who is one of those oddities from the 1970's - a unique girl singer - enjoy the sounftrack to this piece of footage only - obliterate the visual. Let's get back to those memories. Where was I? Oh yes Paris. I think I can hear the sound of Jean-Paul playing an accordian drifting in and out of the morning mist for his young male lover - that's his way you know..................
"the drummer from said rejects rips a baguette apart with his mouth" That was obviously part of the act. He was dressed as a Frenchman eating a French loaf.
I was there! That's me playing the black strat on the left!
Still got the beret? Joking aside really, that's you? Lucky sod. :-)
PurpleTT99 I don't have the here but I do have the t-shirt, bit small these days lol!

BS, that's Phil McWalter on the black strat! you can't impress the ladies with that fib unless you're Mcdeadcat

HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY Noosha. I'll always love this song ♥
Who else loves that chorus ...''La-la-la-la''...so wonderfully raucous and catchy!
Good song great lyrics noosha what a good looking girl

Oh wouldn't that be glorious! ❤
Especially if she wears her St. Trinian's outfit, lol!

Abrazos al primo ❤
Eran una banda increíble ❤
She was beautiful
Love the flash of stockings,
Brilliant, especially the leg kick at the end. Love it.
Noosha , soooooooooooooo ahead of her time , amazing voice and track
She's simply gorgeous
You need glasses!
Yes, indeed. I hope she is still fine.
Very nice song, Great singer too. Thanks for posting
It's worth waiting the whole video just for that leg kick at the end.
Yes, my favourite bit! lol

What an accent, and she is an Australian I think.
Yes, she is Australian. Susan Traynor.
Showing off her lovely pins in her St. Trinian's outfit! Saucy madam!
Excellent song not heard it in ages. Love it:-)
good song sounding good in 2020
She is gorgeous
Fabulous! x

Heard this song on Boom Radio, I had completely forgotten about it!
Good lord! Noosha was hot.
Her actual name is Susan Traynor, many thought the bane of the band was her own name, she's an Aussie singer, astonishing voice.
Kenny Young was the man behind the band Fox
Someone told me she's popular science writer Ben Goldacre's mother.
@@imfpredicts That's true. She also sang with a band called Wooden Horse. Check out their song _Eastbound Train_
@@gilessteve I like "Wooden Horses" from "Wooden Horse II"
very pretty
That's fighting talk bud! :)
The beautiful Susan Traynor.
omg How good is this? loved her then love her now what is she doing?
wunderbar
Rock on Susan.
This is one of the 70's women who are are responsible for my failing eyesight... (see 3:11) She's the mother of Ben Goldacre, born 1974 btw
ROFL
wow 😅
Who’s Ben Goldacre when he’s at home?…..
So strange, I loved this song back in the day and I loved Ssss Single Bed but never made the connection until just now. Too Young back then I suppose
I read somewhere that the BBC banned this song for some reason or other.
Porque se trata de un hombre gay? Tal vez es por eso.
Now we know where "She,s a fox" comes from😂
❤
Kenny Young was behind this
Great performance from Noosha but the aspect ratio on this video stretches everything, shame!
fun, but terribly sad too..
Going solo from the band fox. Have a look at my surname sound like Kate Bush life story
Brill-oh
Can anyone name the band members here, they look different from 2/3 years previously.
YEP.

Shut up.... just enjoy this amazing song..
Toda la razón 😂

...well it's better than "single bed". Bit like Claire Grogan in Altered Images?
Goldfrapp is more like her
@@ggkitchener1122 Somebody once said that Goldfrapp was Noosha Fox with a splash of T.Rex and The Glitter Band 😂😂😂

Well it was the 70's
The visuals are delicious. It is what made this video seem so innocent and "1970s". The over-polished music videos of today are nowhere as good.
"the drummer from said rejects rips a baguette apart with his mouth" That was obviously part of the act. He was dressed as a Frenchman eating a French loaf.
Too obvious - thats my point.
