It's actually the opposite there's not enough regulation. Company's are afraid to roll these technologies out because they don't know where their liabilities are. Until they know you won't see company's taking the risk of mass release and then getting sued into the ground.

The idea sounds cool. But in real life these aren't going to work. They are going to get destroyed, vandalized stolen etc etc etc. Then you have the possibility of terrorists using devices like this.

One thing people are overlooking imo is physical security imo, especially if a company is going to use smaller delivery robots - I can see a lot of people picking them up and trying to smash them to get to whatever is inside. Same for delivery vans - people will just stand in front of them and then use another group to smash them to get the goods.

You robot manufacturers really have positive thinking when it comes to the real world deliveries ... in advertisement your concept works .. because there are no criminal people there !
In reality people with bad characters are going to kick or beat those delivery bots and destroy them totally or just parts of them, just because they can and they might have fun doing that !
The Robots have to be much more robust ( steel body and chassis ), they need more cameras for surveillance of all directions uploading the video in clouds in realtime in case somebody is attacking that robot, some models need much bigger wheels for more stable delivery , they need to be better visible for everyone, so they need neon orange or neon yellow colors for the complete body and a much bigger flag or even a big lightweight plastic ball on top of the "antenna" in that same color. So that vehicle can be seen very good from any direction. They also need a much better suspension for the whole body because those transported bottles ( for example: cola, etc. ) will spray when you open them after such a shaky ride.
This advertisement is absolutely naive ! People are really bad in public areas and robots will get destroyed a lot in the close future ! (especially when people feel safe and nobody is near ).

What you say makes a lot of sense there have always been bad actors that keep the rest of us from having nice things but other than people concerned about the employment issues isn’t it time we make these assholes start cleaning up the messes they make that drag everyone else down???🤨

This should work well as long as you pack a gun at the base that can rotate 360 degrees and fire at will. Only way its going to keep the thieves from touching it.
Also, this will probably be more expensive than traditional employment at first. It's like 3x slower than a human and it requires quite a fair amount of maintenance. We probably won't be replacing jobs for another 20-30 years.

I'm not against delivery robots but we need a reality check like this. We're simply not ready and can not be ready for wide scale public use of robot delivery or policing robots unless possibly two conditions are met. There would need to be heavy fines (like Singapore justice) for tampering with them like with the Federal Mail or they would need to reach a status of essential service workers where people would respect them due to perhaps a fear of being on the streets with rising rates of disease or crime.
The risks for simple willful damage to the robots is too great and too easy unless they had a self defense mechanism built in like an electronic tazer:). They could be victimized by any number of assailants such as simple practical jokers, competitive saboteurs, anti robot activists, run of the mill thieves and vandals etc. Even though they would be monitored by head office, the attackers would be gone in a matter of minutes. The easiest attack would be to simply throw one like a moped, into a pickup truck and into a Faraday non traceable bag.
Vandals could simply throw a heavy sticky, ruglike material onto the robot, or pour some liquid like oil or cement onto the wheel mechanism. Other ways could be to smash them with some type of ramming object or vehicle or spray paint the camera lenses and sensors. Or the contents themselves could be rendered undeliverable by spraying the whole unit with some noxious skunk like smell and then derailing the whole public's trust in them.
Sure we've had success with driverless vehicles as the general public is now at the early fascination stage of most robotic assistance devices. This probably won't last too long unless the public sees these robots as essential for modern day living.

This small robots should be automatic(g.p.s points, like a creation of coordinate[because it is a marking of places instead] that is a map point like m.r.t), the fun driving to deliver, should be supposedly for driving small toycars kind of games/competition.
