Im watching from old harbor St.Catherine Jamaica 🇯🇲 the wind is getting strong to stronger by the minutes... along with rain ☔ Lord be with us and all who was are and is affected by Beryl... thank you for your update❤
Y'all are in my prayers 🙏
@@myopinion1773 prayers up for you all 🙏
Experiencing some in Westmoreland also
Lord be with you🙏
Stay safe
I appreciate your sensible reporting. No drama, no hype.
Never have been a fan of Bernie R....but he is the sharpest knife in the AccuWeather kitchen drawer.
And explains thing logically and clearly. Maybe I'm becoming a FanBoy after all.
Bernie is the best. He doesn't overhype but also enough warning to prepare yourself. Mexico and Texas should start preparing....
Texas should prepare for what light rain showers ur crazy
@@user-zz6lx6ej7o Texas should prepare for a worst case scenario, because that’s the point of preparing. Harvey was just rain and it caused over a billion dollars in damage and took several lives. Flooding is a lot more deadly than wind.
@@user-zz6lx6ej7o Texas ain't known for being prepared...not even for a snow storm. So scary that Ted Cruz ran away to Cancun!! I wonder where he'll run to THIS time??
My son lives in cancun and I am worried sick 😢
@@sqirt09 Dont be worried it will just be a small Tropical storm when it arrives light to moderate rainfall gusty winds at times 20 - 30 mph

God bless ever one in Jamaica for everyone to be safe

OMG feel bad for Jamaica, praying for Texas
@@BiggggyD Feel bad? You could pray for Jamaica too
I think what he/she meant that it’s too late for them since it’s already ongoing in Jamaica, but they’re praying for the people in its path going forward.
Never even lost power. Some wind and rain in Kingston make that lots of rain
Ive done all i can to prepare (which isnt much). It has become too costly to get the necessary items needed. So ill just grin and bear it here in Corpus Christi
Our company has employees in 🇯🇲 Jamaica. Please pray for everyone's safety.
you rock!! i love the deep analytics

Great meteorologist! Thanks for the update. I’m watching here just south of San Antonio, expecting possible flooding and gusty winds. Praying for everyone in its path.
I’m praying for everyone in the path of the storm.
I like the fact you don't rely on modeling and instead you factor in all available data and variables for your own mind to process. I believe the human mind has the ability for infinite creative analysis plus instinctual perception, instead of just computed formulas based on parameters. Thank you

Well said! I agree, however, if more meteorologists would just watch their own skies, they too, would have known years ago that Earth is "wobbling to and fro like a drunkard" on its axis and that we are in the midst of a poleshift
In Barbican Kingston Jamaica no wind just rain 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Of course they will aim it to Texas!

Oh wow. My brother and his family, their families, and his in- laws are in Texas. I hope the high doesn't reach us here in Georgia so that the hurricane goes straight. I will definitely be praying for everyone in that storms path.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Looks like this hurricane was sent on one hell of a mission making stops left n right this sounds like an unpredictable hurricane

Nothing like that in Jamaica as mention in your captioned video. I am from the south side (Kingston) and up to 1:30p, we are only having light rain.

Wow, so glad to have found this channel, no hype just facts, with an experienced meteorologist. I need this type of weather forecasting living in Northwest Florida... Thanks much!
You, my man, are a national treasure👍😤
Mr wonderful over here giving us the weather updates
We are getting anxious here in Houston, Tx right now lol
When my children misbehave I make them watch your videos :)
No catastrophic damage in Jamaica just windy
Excelente reports ...!
Very good forecasting
People know how the weather is, and they cry when they can't control it.
If it goes toward Houston we're definitely getting a cat five
cat 3 at most
I'm from Kingston Jamaica and this reading is totally wrong
Thank you!
Need an update please! July 5, 1 pm central
Very stubborn storm and dangerous
I just want some rain and lower temps here in north TX.
You’re my master!
Bernie from Accuweather made a lot of since regarding the POSSIBILITY on a scale of 1 to 10 there will still be a U.S. landfall in Texas around the southeastern side because that high is gonna move east toward the Atlantic when it starts to weaken for Beryl to do it's thing in Texas!
Incredible stuff...tks.
Looks as though Kingston will take a direct hit
Bernie doesn't sugar coat. Going to be a butt whooping in Jamaica
You can see Her pushing the upper level winds and shear out of her way.
Beryl seems to be like a Gal by the same name I used to know... SHE WILL DEFY ALL ESTIMATES AND EXPECTATIONS!
She was always unpredictable and dangerous!
Unfortunately a significant slow flooding event is about the only thing that will fill up the river systems and lakes here in Central South Texas...so (gulp)...let 'er rip😬
While it could wobble north, it's currently moving too far south of Jamaica to make full impact.
The windfield is large. Landfall is not necessary for hurricane impacts.
@@Nick-jx6ro By "full impact" I mean the wind speeds closer to the center. The windstreams are showing the worst winds have already passed Kingston. The southwest portion of Jamaica will see the worst of the winds but most of the island will not see severe impact.
@Reformed_Hamburglar "The southwest portion of Jamaica will see the worst winds."
You mean the eye wall... if not a partial landfall.
In other words. It's not moving to far south for Jamaica to see full impacts. Kingston did get lucky, however.
The live feeds i have been watching shows windy and rain but in Kingston it looks like a rainy day?
Watch when the Eye passes...
I come from Roch NY
There’s a channel there with AccuWeather forecasts. I thought it was trademarked lol

Jamaica survived🎉..... damage yes..but we survived....
Uh oh I told ppl we up here near Dallas guna get ours one day smh here it is
But we don't have any wind here in Kingston
Is it windy at all?
Must be fine then. Go back outside and relax on the beach. See what happens.
It no reach yet bro
@@876trader7There should be 80 mph gusts right now in Kingston. But the actual eye wall is not there yet.

Reminds me of Nash
Waco TX area here. Definitely keeping watch on this one.
Excellent high quality report Bernie - thank you!
Sub added!
Does Waco ever get much from hurricanes? Seems like it's too far north to get much intensity.
@@divinecomedian2 Generally yes, you're right. We moved here from the Pacific NW just under two years ago, so I have zero first hand experience in this regard, other than watching tropical systems from afar. It's pretty much a guarantee we won't see hurricane force *winds* here, ever. Sounds funny to even mention it. Tropical Storm force winds from a former strong hurricane tracking right over us after landfall is certainly a possibility, and according a hurricane database I saw, not without precedent. The area between Waco and the shore is plenty (about 210 miles to the nearest shore) but very very flat, so not much in the way of friction from hilly terrain etc. So, depending on track, speed, intensity, etc. a tropically stormy Waco is very possible. Plus there's the rain/flooding threat, which at this point is marginal.
@@divinecomedian2 I should also add there's a huge threat for inland tornados. I just watched Reed Timmer's mid-day live stream for today Jul 5, and he's looking at the HWRF model, which is calling for a significant tornado outbreak ahead of and astride Beryl's center, upon and well after landfall. The hurricane-driven tornado threat reaches well up in to our area, so yeah, we're watching it very closely. 🙂
Wouldn't be a click bait title would it ?
Right? The thing hadn't even hit and they called it a catastrophe.
Will go through Galveston?
This gentleman gave some great rrports but where did he go the past 3 days.....?
Remember One Thing people... It's a hurricane it can go where ever it wasn't s.. Sotay alert....And God Bless all in the track...😢
This is the first time that Im actually analyzing the capital of Jamaica. Geographically, Kingston is located in the worst possible place. If Kingston was located to the far northwest, then it would never get the full brunt of a major hurricane. If one were to make a comparison with Trinidad, Port of Spain ,being located in the north east is well shielded by the rest of the country. I know all of this is mere happenstance, no stategic planning went into choosing a capital city. However, going forward it would be foolhardy to rebuild Kingston in such a disadvantageous location.
No strategic planning? 🤔 Unless it's horrendous, I don't think weather played in big part in forming most Capitals 😏 Kingston has one of the busiest harbours in the Caribbean, always has been since the British colonised Jamaica. They knew what they were doing by putting the Capital there, being based on "trade" routes 😏. The current mega projects underway at the harbour, and other infrastructure across the country, will soon make it one of the largest in the Caribbean
@@richardtbrown756 Yes there are pros and cons with every decision. Is the convenience worth the risks? Only a cost/risk benefit analysis can determine that.
Is there any planning control to get better built buildings in these areas ?
They seem to build very flimsy homes.
Why no more updates in texas?
Prayers for Jamaica 🙏🏼
Why do you not say much about Cayman?
What's going to happen when it hits Yucatan
Sometimes the media escalate on these things. We went through Gilbert a direct him. I don't think he understand our resiliencne and also of our building. With Gilbert they told the people here we were going to have a 40ft wave. Now I lived in Portmore and my sister called from FL scaring the daylights outa me. And not a fly went through where we lived and Gilbert pass and gone
@@movingforward2570 Harvey was my first hurricane and what I learned from that was to stay away from the weather channel. They told us if we stayed we should write our ss# on our arm so they can identify our bodies lol.

Jamaica actually has really good infrastructure.
