It's very interesting. I always see your creations as pieces of art. In yesterday's video you cut out the squares and layered them from the bottom. Here you layered the rectangles from the top. It is like an artist using different strokes to achieve the same result. Great job! You are very artistic. It's amazing how you use the unique paper pattern to cut out the rectangles. Genius! The mat with the addition of the frills is very pretty. I like your choice of fabrics. Your work is always very neat and always done perfectly. I know you put in a lot of hard work in planning and producing your videos. Don't work too hard. You are doing well. Believe you can and you are halfway there. Rest well. Take care and stay safe. This is probably weird, but what I've found that works real well when turning and straightening rounded corners, is a large flat popsicle craft stick. They are longer and fit well in your hand, the flat rounded edge works well on the inside seams. And you usually get a bunch in a pack for pretty cheap. I use one all the time, and I haven't broken any. I did break a point turner I bought online.

Don Kim, this is a wonderful upcycle of an old wool shirt, denim and another scrap fabic. It is repairable, original, well made, interesting and beautiful. I love your great design of making all the template shapes (cut out and still together) in one heavy paper template. The ruffle is a nice touch; however, is this mat safe to use in front of a door? Many old people, and some children, drag their feet. Could the ruffle cause someone to trip and fall? Thank you for this new and interesting video. Please stay safe.

You could leave off the ruffle and just go with a straight flat binding. (He sewed the strip flat before going back and ruffling it.) And put a non slip rug backer or some silicone caulk down to keep the mat from moving. Have a nice day!

@@crabwalk7773 Yes. You are correct. I'm not planning to make one. Used Wool garments are hard to find around here. I have not seen wool fabric (on the bolt) sold in stores in over 50 years. These man made fibers just don't do the job the way natural fibers do.
