If there's one thing early 00s horror movies have ensured, it's that I will never ever get in a tanning bed lol. I know this would never actually happen - but I would be thinking about it the whole time.
This movie came out in 2005 and Final Destination 3 came out in 2006 it’s so crazy to me that there is a one year difference between those two movies but still manage to be FUCKING terrifying to me at least
Urban Legends:Bloody Mary was released direct to video on DVD as well as VHS in July 2005, according to IMDB the director Mary Lambert was told that that it would be released theatrically and when it was released straight to video she was disappointed. Difference between Urban Legends:Bloody Mary and Final Destination 3 is that Roger was baked to a crisp while in Final Destination 3 Ashley and Ashlyn were burnt to death when their tanning bed burst into flames because Ashley brought her drink into the tanning room, there was an alternate version where Ashlyn got out but was knocked unconscious for a short time then got up to save Ashley until the bottom of the tanning bed shattered electrocuting both girls to death
Must have been a huge thing in the mid 00’s the tanning culture…I do remember everyone wanting the California surfer, Hollister, A&F, tanned look haha 😅
Why didn't he just get out lol? In Final Destination 3, they were trapped by the shelf thing and in I Still Know... they killed locked her in...by mah dude Roger here could have just opened the door and gotten out at any point.
Well first of all, I'm pretty sure the ghost was blocking it. Second, as Final Destination depicted, once those heaters get hot enough (like, to the point where they're capable of cooking you) you actually wouldn't be able to touch it at all without burning yourself.
I’ve seen both Urban Legends:Bloody Mary and Final Destination 3, the only difference is that in Urban Legends:Bloody Mary Roger Dalton got baked to a crisp while in Final Destination 3 Ashley Halperin and Ashley Freund were burned alive when their tanning bed shattered and burst into flames. There was an alternate version where Ashlyn got out and she was knocked unconscious by the wooden board for a short time and she got up and try to save Ashley only for both girls to be electrocuted to death when the bottom of the tanning bed shattered.
I’ve seen this on The Movie Channel in Fall 2007 my freshman year of high school. This scene from Urban Legends:Bloody Mary is different from what I seen on Final Destination 3 because Roger was cooked to a crisp while the tanning bed Ashley and Ashlyn was in burst into flames and an alternate version Ashlyn gets knocked out then wakes up trying to get Ashley out and both get electrocuted.
I much prefer to FD3 version in terms of realism. Like what happened to Ashley and Ashlyn [btw, do you think their names were a foreshadowing of their death? They get burned to death and they are literally "the Ash's"] is extremely unlikely, but possible. No tanning bed could dehydrate you into a blackened husk lol.
@@markalexander3659 yes their names most likely foreshadowed their death, I’ve seen Final Destination 3 several times. The whole tanning bed death was based off an urban legend where the bride wanted the dream tan for her wedding day one version she collapsed and died on the day of her wedding due to the fact that she cooked her internal organs on the inside and another where the tanning salon owner smelled smoke and when she went inside she found the lady burned to death most likely it caught on fire. Though Urban Legends:Bloody Mary came out a year before Final Destination 3 and wasn’t like the previous two Urban Legends they had some great death scenes especially Heather who had spiders crawl out of her face after she burst her pimple and she smashed her face in a mirror and took the glass out her forehead and bled to her death with spiders coming out of her face
@@TracyGJacksonTV Same. Final Destination is one of my fav franchises of all time. So excited for FD6 (2023) I never knew the tanning bed was an urban legend, that's interesting. I actually saw this movie (UL: Bloody Mary) when I was like 11/12 and just starting to get into horror films and Heather's death fucked me up lol.
Same here because Urban Legends: Bloody Mary came out a year before Final Destination 3. Only difference is that Roger got cooked to a crisp while in Final Destination 3 Ashlyn (the brunette) and Ashley (the blonde) got trapped in their tanning beds and the temperature went up and glass broke then it burst into flames burning them alive
This movie is general is very meh, but one thing I do think they do well is like with this scene and the spiders scene, they take the scenes from sexy with aesthetically pleasing characters to all of a sudden oh-fuck-no and I think the contrast makes it seem worse
Took Psoralen to make his skin more sensitive to heat and light for tanning. that's why he fried. not just cause the temp went up. I know I know I am stating the obvious.
And this one movie he was the only one in the tanning bed and the front of Destination 3 there was two girls and a candy bed so these movies are but different but the blonde girl named Betsy hey is the DNA of Ashley so I think I know the truth and all of you don't have to think I'm dumb you're the one these type 2 movies like they came from two different years this one is from 2005 and that one was from 2006 so do you both be different this movie is first then the Final Destination 3 so it's too obvious now

@@arturocas90 tanning beds have been around since the 1980s so the tanned look isn’t anything new

He tried getting out before he screamed for Betsy but it wouldn’t open for some reason
Cuz roger said he ain’t no bish
But betsy can't hear him she was on the phone 📱

@@LordofFullmetal They were already burning all over, badly. Better your hand than your entire body, followed by death
Final Destination 3 did it better honestly, this one is not even a little bit realistic. The blonde looks like Ashley Tisdale tho
Oh, she does. Well, she looks like Ashley Titsdale.

That is way more violent than final destination 3😯
if the tanning bed has that high of a setting that shit should not be used 💀
