Just recently I ordered 5 NAS IronWolf HDDs from Seagate. One of them wasn't working at arrival at all, so I went through their return process, had to pay delivery costs (one way) on my own and then wait for one week to get the replacement. One day later, the second HDD of those 5 failed. Only this time, the Seagate Self-Service-Website is not working, so I can't even claim the return. So I can't use my NAS until sometime in the future Seagate might find time to fix their support webiste. Is this the "ownership of quality" that the manager talks about in the video? If 2 of 5 ordered HDDs fail right away, that's 40% failure rate which I would consider the opposite of quality assurance.

Hi Seagate advisors, I love my Slim Seagate External Hard Drive. I’ve use it for my Mac but unfortunately I think I’ve made a mistake downloading some purchased files that are in my last backup giving me issues. How can I delete the last back up but not all backups? Thanks, hopefully you guys will answer my question 🤓

No, it's ducking not; you're stingy with your space, you don't deliver formatted space, and your drives are weak, even when you absorbed Quantum Desktop Drives. That's why I only buy Toshiba/Hitachi when ever I can; I avoid your cheap brand, like the plague

@@seagate Oh, sure, it's like you're just learn it, right? 😄 But I will, I'll expose your shady business model everywhere. I don't have the serial numbers, I threw away your janky drives long ago; and I have been a PC Tech for many years, and always the crappiest was Seagate; Quantum was always Great!

@@spacegodmurder Yes it is. Had two failures with Seagate HDDs in two years! Never had any failure with WD HDDs, and one of them is rolling 6 years now, with many on/off cycles, about one per day.

    • @GMoney-B

@@spacegodmurder Hard drives are funny and people are interesting when it comes to hard drives. My last employer used nothing but WD and they would have a number of them go bad. I myself have only had one Seagate go bad out of 5 drives between me and my parents over the period of about 20 years. So I say hard drives and people are funny and interesting because it seems that everyone has the same story about hard drive companies that failed them and the drives that they like. Seems like because data can be so precious and time consuming/expensive to deal with if there is a failure that people try to find the biggest culprit even if it's no more of a culprit than the other hard drive manufacturers. Not trying to prove a point or say you're wrong at all, but more that based on personal experiences and hearing about others experiences; it seems that everyone has the same story, just different HD manufacturers that make them feel comfortable and ones that they don't trust from a bad experience.
