For salvation, what's absolutely required is - PURITY OF HEART AND PURITY OF CHARACTER - and nothing else ! No religion or guru - worth the name - can bring this about - however hard and long one may try - unless - someone tries to purify oneself - from within - on one's own effort !
How right was the great Mahatma Gandhijee in his assessment in saying - "PURITY OF HEART AND SALVATION DEPENDS ON PURITY OF CHARACTER !"
