At last! I’ve found you, an artist that I can relate to. I very much enjoyed your video and the way you explain, chat throughout…… And yes, ‘Less is more’, a hard lesson to learn 😊
Thanks so much!! I’m still learning that less is more haha, I have a new video coming hopefully at the weekend so make sure you’ve hit that bell to be notified 🙏
I’m really glad to hear that! Don’t worry too much about the colours you choose, just practice with pressure when it comes to the knife! All the very best :)
You said you don’t like to use much texture but I feel this example has a lot of texture, no? I started watching because I’m specifically interested in painting with texture and using pallet knife Thanks for sharing. It’s beautiful.
Yes, that was it -- cobalt turquoise. I have never heard of that color before. I'll have to check it out. I love every shade of blue/turquoise there is. Thank you. @@seanfear15

Hi from New Zealand. Great painting, you've inspired me to have a go myself (at the young age of 67).
I’m really glad to hear that! Don’t worry too much about the colours you choose, just practice with pressure when it comes to the knife! All the very best :)
Love your loose expressive technique and heavy impasto style.
Thank you so much! Planning on doing more like this 🙏
Thanks. I plan to paint using a palette knife and acrylic paint. You gave me tons of confidence from this painting. I hope I will pick up that knife😊😊
Wishing you all the best with it!
Me too. At 67 yrs old.
Wow! I want to try!!
Try it and send me the outcome! 🙏🎨😀
That's beautiful
Thanks so much!!
Thanks Ser, i love Your way
Thanks a lot, I appreciate that!
Really liked this. Feel in tune with your ideas. I use acylic, though.
Thank you so much! I’m considering creating an acrylic painting today, wish me luck! 🙏

Thanks for sharing. It’s beautiful.
Hey, thanks for watching! Yeah, it depends on the piece and my mood and of course what I want to made more textured. Thanks a lot :)
Very nice ! I like painting on wood panels but often buy small cheap primed canvas panels and give them one coat of shellac for studies/experiments.
Thinks a lot! I’ll be sure to check out shellac 😀
Love it
Thank you so much!

Amazing, thank you so much! 🙏🙏
Gotta ask - was the orange dot intentional? Kinda liked it, unexpected.
Haha, can you believe that I noticed this once I uploaded the video? Great observation there 🙏
Loved this video, thank you for sharing. I missed what color paint you had at the top righthand corner. Some kind of turquoise?
Thank you so much! Ultramarine blue but colbalt turquoise most probably made his way in there.

Love the painting. Also, are you by any chance related to the journalist Harry Fear ? Fear is not a last name you hear/read quite often.
Thank you for your comment! Not that I know of, but I will ask my family about that 😁
What knives are favorites to paint with?
It depends on the size of the surface, most of the time, I like to use several different sizes ranging from small to large.
Is there a brand that you find especially well made and flexible?
@melanieharlow2510 no, they’re pretty much all the same :)
Your voice is like hot melted butter, haha
Haha, really? I was recovering from a cold but thanks anyway!
All a bit crude for me. Plastering is better on bricks.Nodetails in seascapes try a few cityscapes or animals.
Thank you for your comment! I have a few animal paintings on my channel so be sure to check them out 😀
