Another great comparison vid. Trucks are pretty equal and comes down to the driver as to how they perform. I have the c-10 but like you I prefer a ford so the F100 is definitely in my future
The drag stuff is so addicting. Tenth by tenth, tuning and whittling that ET down. Oh, and spending lots of money on upgrades along the way 😂 I like the Losi platform, but not their shocks. I really wish Losi just put the TLR shocks on to begin with.

RC addicts! Just buy both if you can afford them! It's just like comparing an Xmaxx to a Kraton. Both are different, both have ups/downs & both are fun to run! If you need an excuse to buy multiple RCs, then have a kid or 2, that way you can buy one for yourself, then buy the other one you wanted for your kid! Hahaha! That's what I do! But most cant afford that route...I have a total of 7 rigs 4 are electric the rest are nitro...I'd take arrma over traxxas though..my infraction and typhon are A-1 I do have a 1/16 scale traxxas buggy...this hobby gets expensive...thank God my fiance loves me and has a little money in her family she bought the losi 22s and infraction v2...as well as 1800 in upgrades shes a keeper.

Imo.. about the brakes on the spectrum esc’s, I’d say it’s got to do with how they programmed the firmware so it’ll work at cooler temps. They do run at pretty high amps so in order to not get hot right away, the commands per milliseconds are less and at a lower resolution. This is why their slogan is BASHING, high power dumped with minimal processing. Castle is able to do both power AND resolution as in smooth operation but they have what’s called CRYODRIVE and SMART SENSE.

I've had more success with the Traxxas, just slightly. It stays straighter. I put a Spectrum AVC receiver in the Losi but the TSM has it beat. Not keeping it straight can take the fun right out of it ! .. and I love the launch feature on the Traxxas. the Losi bodies are by far the best though !
Out of the box traxxas do their shłt no matter how many peopes try to mock them yes they are expensive but still one of the best base cars out of the box...
I don’t remember if I told you about solving the problem of burning through the RCs paint job because of tires ballooning so …… I used 3M aluminum tape…. This tape is used to repair holes in heating and AC ductwork….. I basically line the fender wells and the area around the tires that ultimately give you a thin metal surface that prevents the tires from any contact with the paint work …… I used this tape on my Felony and my DragSlash and I have Zero damage to the paint…… if I told you about this already….. I’m sorry but as I get older I sometimes forget things Lolol always excellent content E thanks for sharing…..💯👍🏻
need to program the esc on the losi, mine will pull 2.79 at 44 mph. As well I added an integy wheelie bar mount and wheelie bar and a set of Losi TLR shocks assembled adn tuned for the truck. It now transfers weight like it should and with wheelie bar properly adjusted she gets full travel on the front suspension and still keeps the front tires on the ground.

Earl, I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now. I converted a new Slash VXL, bought Losi Summit Camaro and a DTS-1 timing system. Have not had much luck finding local races in So Cal. Are you in Canyon Lake/So Cal? Wanna race?
Have you ever used anything to condition your tires for the no prep stuff it helps with grip I've seen a few videos on UA-cam and it seems to work good
From the sound of the Losi during the burn out it doesn’t seem to have as much power. Might want to look into either changing the pinion/spurr or turning up the esc.
@@earlmoorhead5555 the motor doesn’t sound like it has enough torque or speed. Go back and listen to how the losi sounds when you do your burn out. Then listen to the traxxas. I know they are different motors but I’ve used both before and the spektrum is not getting enough rpm’s
It’s the sound of the gear mesh and the go pro trying to cut noise that make it sound funny on video it has plenty of power to spin hard on the launch I have to pull slowly on the Losi as the traxxas has launch control 👍👍
I've got the losi coming from the US and all in all the cost including taxes is £500. I couldn’t wait a year for it to come here, that's even if they decide to bring it here eventually. It's so sad that we in the UK are always so far behind the US, and the price difference (conversion rate) when they do come over is ridiculous 😞.

I have them both they are both, when the traxxas came out I bought it wishing traxxas would have used the ford body. When i saw losi bright it out i was stoked and couldn't wait to buy it. They are both sweet but I like the ford body a lot more.
Traxxas for the win! They know about Drag setups. Funny car was great for them. Big in the Rc world. Losi should have made that car a roller. For the price and crappy electronics not worth the money IMO.. yes shiny body looks good but same platform is not what we keep looking for. A mid motor on that chassis would’ve been a hit.

Did you ever figure out why one side squatted more than the other when you take off with the Losi. Another guy was saying the one side hits the pinion gear cover? Is that still the same setup on the truck?
The was on the camaro so now Losi added bump stops to the truck platform so it won’t happen and some have said the new camaro bodies have bump stops installed as well also ppl where pushing the wheels way up past the chassis hitting the ground first and the cover would hit so I never had that issue but I did have shocks not working correctly out the box on my camaro the right shock was super weak
EARL....I like the Chevy....I like the undercover. Nasty look,,,,don’t like a lot of flash,,and chrome....I’m a Chevy fan,,,,always have been... to me the Ford is okay,,,but the shiny is a bit much for my taste..🇺🇸👈🚘
The camaro used to go in reverse so on the truck I wanted to make sure this wasn’t an issue anymore out the box most ppl turned reverse off so before I adjusted anything I needed to run it 💯💯
@@earlmoorhead5555 I had that problem at first with mine but as I made more passes I learned not to double tap the break and to ease in to it and I eventually I turned my reverse back on but it took a little time.
That LOSI looks way better than the Traxxas. I'll be honest I don't care for Traxxas. I've disliked them ever since they sued ARRMA over the e-revo shock issue. I'd bet LOSI out sells Traxxas 3:1 on that drag truck. Losi's 69 Camaro is on a whole different level as far as looks.
I don't really know why Losi decided to go to a truck body like the Traxxas. I am more of a car body fan on dragster. They should have just gone mustang to appeal to both Chevy and Ford fans more I think. Plus as far as I am concerned that body still isn't as pretty as the traxxas or the Camaro Losi body.
I’m loving the LOSI I definitely think the body style is awesome! Don’t get me wrong I’m impressed by the TRAXXAS it really seems to do well either one could do well just a matter of looks.

The Drag slash is faster out the box for sure. I have the losi camaro and a drag slash, pretty close. With all the mods.

First thing I do when I get new body clips is bend them about 45 degrees. Makes them a Helluva lot easier to handle.
Maybe you should drill the holes where the body clip goes into, maybe it would be easier to get them on and off

That Losi DEFINITELY need front marker/directional to finish the look with the option for rear. Yes aesthetics but sometimes that's where it's at 😜

The motor cover hits driveshaft on launch,hence right side pulling on launch, it fixed mine. Losi for me,just got one finally.
Chassis hits the ground before that happens 👀🤷🏻♂️

I would re drill those clip holes front to rear instead of left to right, or turn the post if it can be turned.
I also chamfer the hole to allow the pin better entry, and check the pin for a bur, file or grind to be more pointy not square on the end.

It’s just fuel tubing cut to stop it from bottoming out is all ⚠️

Bend the clips on the round side what I do to all of mine
hey Earl, have you thought about ceramic wheel bearings ?? they're expensive but I saw a guy use them and they increased speed and dropped time .
They normally slow down the rc as the drag from ceramics is higher 🤔
Just use a pair of pliers to bend the eye of the clip up 😂😂

Drag slash is really good specially if it’s tour your first drag car the Losi has. HRd time stopping the TSM will help while learning to drag race 👌

How come you don't turn the brake percentage down on the losi. This will help it from braking hard and flipping
The camaro used to go in reverse so on the truck I wanted to make sure this wasn’t an issue anymore out the box most ppl turned reverse off so before I adjusted anything I needed to run it 💯💯
@@earlmoorhead5555 I had that problem at first with mine but as I made more passes I learned not to double tap the break and to ease in to it and I eventually I turned my reverse back on but it took a little time.
Mine was one pull not double tapping it 🤔

Losi's Usually have a hook problem

That LOSI looks way better than the Traxxas. I'll be honest I don't care for Traxxas. I've disliked them ever since they sued ARRMA over the e-revo shock issue. I'd bet LOSI out sells Traxxas 3:1 on that drag truck. Losi's 69 Camaro is on a whole different level as far as looks.

I don't really know why Losi decided to go to a truck body like the Traxxas. I am more of a car body fan on dragster. They should have just gone mustang to appeal to both Chevy and Ford fans more I think. Plus as far as I am concerned that body still isn't as pretty as the traxxas or the Camaro Losi body.

I’m loving the LOSI I definitely think the body style is awesome! Don’t get me wrong I’m impressed by the TRAXXAS it really seems to do well either one could do well just a matter of looks.
