Check out any of the Hal Roach produced short movies from the 1930's starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. Imo, no actor has been as funny as Oliver Hardy at breaking the forth wall and looking at the camera for sympathy from the audience. I was lucky to see some of these movies as a kid sitting at a long picnic table in a Shakey's Pizza Parlor.
This was the first time Jim Carry humour surprised me. Near the start where he replaced the baby who was breastfeeding and the mom looks at him terrified not knowing what to do as he breastfed… like wtf?? Lol
