*Listens to CORPSE once*
Wage War: “Yes.”
and after that plays DOOM ETERNAL
@@YattyAMV Oh for sure! Tbf, making a guitar tone THAT low sound good is very hard so I’ve gotta give props to them for their ingenuity! All jokes aside, they’ve undeniable talent and I fuck with a lot of their discography tbh. Pressure was just questionable 🥴
@@jackkirelandiS iT mE aGaInSt mOySeLf
Ha as soon as I heard this song I'm like, wait, this sounds like corpse 😂
@@Supremebean28 I thought Me Against Myself was honestly one of the more memorable tracks off the album personally. Wage War’s made a lot of rock ballad/poppy song with big guitars. It may not be heavy or the most technically impressive song in their catalog, but it certainly doesn’t feel cheap or tacky either. It’s a song that feels like it knows what it wants to be and digs into that feel. Which is why I think not a lot of people enjoyed Magnetic because it didn’t feel as genuine as something like Me Against Myself or Hurt does.
The song's very 'Manic' for sure. I'm hoping to hear their 'bouncier/groovier' (i.e. Relapse or True Colors) riffs in the other tracks off STIGMA, though.
My favorite album by them is either Manic or Deadweight, though I'm leaning a bit more towards Manic.
Glad to see somebody that shares the same favorite albums by them. Both are incredibly solid.
It's literally a manic 2.0, id report plagiarism but they copied their own homework 🤣
@@kianllewellyn8265 manic 2 electric boogaloo
That "pew, pew" synth sounds a lot like what Make Them Suffer use
Both bands work with producer Drew Fulk. This is common amongst bands that use the same producers.
@@jjames6990 Nice info, cheers!
@@jjames6990 I believe Alex Reid brought in the pew pews to MTS.
I know it's kinda "simple", but daaaang this track is fun, bouncy, HEAVY, and has some subtle nuances that, although not really new, will never cease to make me happy. I love it, and I've had it repeat since it came out.
People are still upset that this isn't the Blueprints and Deadweight sound. I honestly think this song fucks and Magnetic is a genuine solid radio single. Love Wage War. They can't do wrong in my opinion.
The new singles absolutely kick ass live, too
@@chadthegiga6235 I seriously need to see them
structure reminded me of Self Destruction by I prevail (yes, that dope song)
Absolutely this
My favorite album is definitely Manic. Godspeed, Slow Burn, Deathroll, Relapse, Teeth. So many good songs.
That album is fine. I don't think there is a bad wage war album but that's my least favorite. 3 good songs and the rest are just whatever.
Death Roll, Relapse and High Horse are bangers. The rest, MEH
That's a certifed moment
Naiiiiiils
So I saw them live in Birmingham two weeks ago and got to meet them. Great guys, first off.
They sneak peaked a couple of songs from their upcoming album. Their song ‘Tombstone’, I can confirm, will ABSOLUTELY bring you back to their ‘Blurprint’ era!!
Also, NAIL5 was PHENOMENAL live!! The energy was WILD && The rain cooled us off tremendously!!
I’m super excited for this album.
"Bogdan only likes breakdowns and metalcore"
- YES
Needed just a littleeeeee more at the end… such a tease!! Haha. Overall great track. Loved it, anxious to hear the other stuff!
It’s taken about 5-6 listens to get into this one but I like it. Gave me Manic vibes the first half of the song
After Wage Wars first two albums, they were one of if not my favorite bands at the time. Since then, every album they’ve released I’ve listen to them less and less. I didn’t even realize they were releasing a new album soon till I watched this video.
I really loved Manic! I'm not sure why so many people hate on it, but this song was a banger!
The lyrics of Pressure connected with me on such a deep level I have to give it to that. Absolutely crazy just how much it did. I know it's arguably their most hated and I'm likely on an island here, but nothing is more powerful than a song/album connecting on a deep level.
I fucking love this. Magnetic was alright, but this gives me Manic vibes like hell. Pretty hyped for the album now
Literally my take too
I think every Wage War album has something good to it, and they’re all a little different, but I think my favorites are between Deadweight and Manic. But I do believe that The Stripped Sessions are unappreciated
I think Deadweight is the perfect mix of the melodic and heavy from Wage War
That entire Album was awesome.
My most favorite album is Manic, I just love that album so so much from start to finish, their older stuff is fire too but for me Manic is THE Album 🔥💚
My favourite Wage War album is Deadweight, some of my favourite wage war songs are on that album. Witness, Stitch, Southbound, Gravity to name a few.
Deadweight. My holy trio of Wage War songs are Stich, Witness, and Johnny Cash.
Banger songs!! So good! Easily in the top 5 best wage war songs ever for me too! Johnny Cash and stitch probably my fav songs from them like forever
Big Manic vibes on first listen but Bogdans right it does have a Holy Roller feel to the intro. Old Wage War is down there, somewhere...
IMO their best album was Deadweight
Northlane - Mirror's Edge EP?
Don't know why but to me this screams Artificial Suicide by Bad Omens
I think what I like about this song is that even though it is simple, it is not "safe".
The first verse and the synths for example are very... risky and odd and I applaud them for trying something new instead of giving us more of what we already have a lot of (aka songs like "Low", which I like, but don't need 10 of by the same band)
Pressure really helped me during the pandemic it was the last album i jammed right before it all happened
I definitely think you gotta give Manic another chance. There are great songs on that album which are a super heavy songs and a good mix of heavy/soft in the same song
Blueprint and Deadweight, to me its like part 1 and part 2, i love a lot of the songs on both of them, theyre almost the side A and side B of the same album. love it, cant really pick a preference
Manic is my favorite album form WW and I hope that the rest of the new one will be different than the 2 released ones
Deadweight is my favorite album.
It's also the one I've listened to the most conveniently lmao
Look up Twitch Of The Dead Nerve. They're an AMAZING death metal band.
They definitely borrowed Alex from Make Them Suffer's keyboard PEW PEWs on this one a bit 😂 Love the song, I just wish they'd looped the song back to one more chorus at the end and then wrapped up with the intro riff or something. 2 1/2 minutes WASN'T ENOUGH! WE WANTED MORE!
I love that they just kinda do whatever they wanna do it rules
also unrelated you GOTTA check out the new cane hill release, both songs are absolute bangers!
As far as I’m concerned this band hasn’t released an album since 2017 and that’s totally fine
Just saw them live with nothingmore, veil of maya and sleep theory. They definitely love the heavy live. Whole set was good.
I know Manic was received as rather "formulaic" but I can't help but fucking love that formula.
Love this! Wage war is a solid listen. Confections new songs slap as well! Two of my favorite bands
It’s gonna be one of those albums it doesn’t hit until the full release. You gotta have the full front to back experience. Wage War has never let us down.
Exactly this
Yeah because Pressure doesn't exist
The melody of that beginning part reminds me of in dying arms- deathwish for some reason
I would probably advise you to give the Album MANIC one last Listen …
Was a solid and one of my favorites in 2021 i guess.
Favorite album is definitely Manic.
This song reminds me a lot of Manic.
NAIL5 >>>>> Magnetic
Not even a debate
If someone disagress with this, they're just wrong.
That’s not how opinions work
Guitars seem to be really close to the first FEVER 333 EP
Wage Minor Inconvenience
That was Magnetic lol. Not even, that was like Wage a Play Date
The intro is just Holy Roller lol. This song is very lackluster to me. I honestly liked Magnetic, it has a really catchy chorus. This is just.. heavy.
Wage War following the - "let's discover ourselves and do pop" formula, like many before them, so to me.. it's meh, not because it's poppy, no, because so many bands have already done that - and I don't see the creativity or the individuality. The Holy Water comment though, I died. :) Now that you said it - I can't unthink it. :D
I think for me I have listened to Magnetic a lot and I think it’s a track that grows on you. It grew on me enough to record a drum cover of it. This track is fun but so far I think I’d actually choose Magnetic. My opinion could change though over time
Was not a fan of Magnetic until the “breakdown” and was not a fan of this also until “breakdown”. I love Wage War and respect the experimental going on.
Not surprised because it seems metalcore bands experiment on their 4th LP.
How was this silencing the haters im confused.
Blueprints is probably top 3 albums all time for me, but wage war is my favorite band so I’m definitely biased lol
ok, but where is review on new Architects song? 😅
i feel that its not a wage war riff
They did the talking thing in manic though.
Idk man they are not doing it for me anymore. Idk how they can make heavy sound generic but they do lmao
Oh god that’s bad… what the hell is this thing…
????
Honestly I love a band that has some rang. Can do more melodic catchy songs but also just have heavies too. I'm down for it.
I'm keen to see what you think of the new Cane Hill song "The Midnight Sun" 🎉
Deadweight is my fav but I love this song it’s a bop
Just commenting that foxblood came out with an album and might be worth checking out. But to each their own. ❤
Don't get me wrong, I used to really enjoy Wage War and I still do at some extent. But, they were always very basic metalcore executed really well. Sometimes people seem to expect more than what this band ever was.
I have only heard their last album so far.
ngl, both songs have grown on me
Definitely gonna be a far cry from Manic, but Stigma could be neat. Let's see.
btw, favorite Wage War album is Blueprints, followed by Manic.
I love how people relegate bands to their "true original form", like wtf does that even mean. I'm sure you would feel great knowing the only thing people wanted to hear was the same album you wrote 20 years ago and you aren't allowed to ever do anything different.
It's Deadweight for me, but even so... I'm still loving a lot of the newer stuff.
I love both song those, idk why they get hate those, it like whenever a bad go mainstream, they get hate no matter what, like I discord bad omen before they went mainstream, and there was no hate or anything, but when they went mainstream that when all this hate come out of nowhere same with sleep token to and I love Wage war they so badass
blueprints altho manic is great it was my introduction to this band and means alot to me
I really enjoy this song i really dont get the hate, i feel like people hated magnetic so much they just hate this too 😭
Sick
Hot take, I think their Manic album was really good. Did not deserve the hate it got. That said, these two singles I’m not huge fans of - but also I said the same about alpha wolf and they’re knocking on AOTY so who knows
I felt the same about ERRA this year. The singles didn’t wow me until the album came out and now it’s my current AOTY. With alpha wolf being right behind it.
Relapse, teeth, manic, high horse, and circle the drain are such good tracks.
I actually enjoyed Magnetic and love this song as well
If corpse and northlane had a baby and I love it
When is the reaction active again?
When my Release Radar autoplays and I think Corpse released a new song
new greyhaven is 5 banger ep and could use a signal boost!
The first time I heard this, I immediately thought Holy Roller too…but also a little “Babble babble b*tch b*tch rebel rebel party party, s*x s*x s*x and don't forget the violence.”
Corpse song. XD
This sounds like a song from Command and Conquer
Sounds kinda similar to Manic, good but not great. (Better than magnetic for sure)
Just i really like it the breakdown Lol.
Definitely manic vibes but I love it more for that, this is a fun lil banger for sure.
Blueprints. By far. Don’t need to explain
Second this comment.
The first time I heard The River 🔥
Can’t vibe with their last album but can with this one ?😂
Check out new Cane Hill
Decent song ❤
I never thought a community could be any more toxic than 2k lol but the metalcore community is rough
Nothing will top blue prints, deadweight is amazing as well. Pressure was pretty bad but manic had a lot of decent songs. This album will be interesting for sure
This is even worse than what Parkway Drive is doing right now.
Manic #1 Deadweight and Blueprints are close though
I'm sorry but my fav is Pressure bc I always thought I hated Wage War and Pressure was the album to change my opinion about them🎉
Didn’t necessarily “silence the haters” (I’m not one of them but yk). It’s not a bad track, it just isn’t your usual wage war. I’m all for trying new things out, but this rap-ee, super repetitive sections kinda song could take multiple listens to fully appreciate it for the track it is.
Not a bad song tho. Breakdown at the end was pretty nice. :)
I spoke it into reality
I don't think they did silence the haters. It has a decent breakdown, and that's pretty much it.
Top song ❤
The song is so short, wish it were longer
Wage war is getting kilt this year with every other band dropping bangers
Sounds like bad omens
My only issue with the song is that it’s too short
Check out new Cane Hill it slaps
Where’s reaction to Architects “Curse”?
I really dont know what other people see in this song and the last. Neither sounded inspired to me
This Song was solid, and that is ok🤘
Awesome Song, give me more...
Just a friendly reminder- NEW THROWN!!!
