bivol may have a gameplan but once he gets hit flush a few times, his gameplan will go out the window, and he will then go into survival mode. bivol got no power, beterbiev will walk through his best shots, stalk him like a hungry hyena with pressure and pick him apart possibly stopping him in the process
I’m siding with Beterbiev…as good as Bivol is, I think the best that he can do is only make it difficult…I don’t think Bivol has everything that’s necessary to control Beterbiev because eventually Bivol will slow down and be more stationary…Bivol footwork and speed will definitely put him ahead early but as Beterbiev works his jab and the body, he’ll build and put together enough of the right punches to stop Bivol…I’ll go Beterbiev by late corner stoppage…but respectfully, it is 50/50, but I think Beterbiev’s type of pressure will overwhelm Bivol, also his timing….
I been listening to Wave for years now and every time Beterbiev fights Wave fades him. I think he’s your kryptonite like DDD bro. But i got Bivol by decision his lead hand will be a problem for Beterbiev as well as his excellent footwork.
Your thoughts are very similar to mine. The most likely outcome for me is either Betterbive wins by a stoppage or Bivol out boxes the guy in wins by a decision. However it could go another way maybe the puncture gets a couple of knockdowns in wins by a decision. Or Bivol cuts Betterbive and possibly gets a TKO stoppage. A true 50/50 fight on paper. There's fighting instinct and iron will in most fighters, then there's animal fighting instinct and levels of it, for example: Mike Tyson, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Joe Frazier, Naoya Inoue etc, I suspect Arthur Beterbiev's killer instinct is different than Dimitry Bivol, even at almost 40 yrs old with some injuries is still hungry strong and savage for a victory by KO.

Totally agree with you on this Wave. As quiet as it’s kept, I think Bivol has some serious flaws that have yet to be exposed. He’s very repetitive, stiff, lacks physicality, doesn’t change his rhythm, relies too much on the same 1-2 combo etc. I think Beterbiev sets the table with a sustained body attack early, and finishes the job somewhere between 9-12. Dunno if anyone noticed, but in that short amount of shadow boxing that he did, half the time he was shadow boxing in a southpaw stance, i think if that's going to be part of his gameplan, he's going to hit Bivol from angles he would not expect, or maybe bait him into hi's left hook or overhand right somehow. We've seen Beterbiev switch stances during punching, i'm wondering is he going to actually fight some time via Southpaw stance, if that's going to be the case, i expect some wild tactics from Beterbiev, should be an epic fight, let the best man win!🔥
I dont think theyre close in skill at all. Bivol is way more skilled offensively and defensively. Its like comparing maidana to floyd. Bivol will put on masterclass of sweet science and the narrative will be beterbiev aged over night to dminish bivols victory.

i think beterbiev might be a smarter fighter than Bivol, he always sets up his shots whereas i feel like Bivol throws a lot of punches to keep his opponent occupied and maybe a couple will slip through the guard
Just need a little note for those and Bivol active high guard which worked against Canelo. Betebiev punches behind the ear. That is how he dropped Anthony Yarde and Joe Smith. He doesn't necessary try to punch through the guard all time. That is why people complain they think he rabbit punches. Bivol literally took a rest and didn't even punch for the 9th round vs Canelo. You'd take massive damage vs Beterbiev if you tried that. Very good fight. Books have Bivol favored just like they had Gvoz. Seems they think a pure boxer will eventually beat Beterbiev. After watching a few of Beterbiev recents fights (especially Yarde fight) I am more than confident that Bivol will stop Beterbeiv. I see that Beterbeiv is slow, but accurate when punching. It takes a few round for Beterbiev, so what he does is plod forward sometimes recklessly to find his range (mid-range to inside). He get’s caught a lot by doing this. Yarde was catching him a lot during the first couple of rounds and hurt Beterbeiv a couple of times. The problem is Yarde got sucked into Beterbeiv game plan, instead of using his jab off the back foot. Bivol will be doing this and more.
Beterbiev isn't slow lol. Decent speed, but great movement in the ring against all his opponents! Ps. Beterbiev punches aren't slow either haha. Short fast punches which take the opponents by surprise...
Its so interesting i can see beterbiev catching up with bivols feet and starting too put him on the ropes alot more than hes ever been but i can also imagine bivol boxing amazing and the rounds ticking by very quickly for him for a easier than thought points win! I disagree. I think Beterbiev has better defense than Bivol. Bivols defense is his offense. While he throws, very little comes back. Beterbiev is inside and mie range so he will get hit, but he blocks and does a lot of punches. When got knocked down by Smith his right hand was up, but he miscalculated the position and Smith was able to connect.
