i just purchased and renovated my home and we still have a few more things to do before it's completely finished, so right now my walk-in closet is just an empty (9' x 8') room but it will eventually be storage on nearly all 4 sides. so all I kept thinking while watching this video was wow. she thinks THIS closet space is big (and it is), but my closet is going to be like triple that!! I totally can't wrap my head around it, but more importantly I cannot wait!!! it's going to be so friggin' awwwwesome!!

Great job! Very inspiring! A little tip is to change the way you fold your jeans tshirts etc so that you dont have to go through them to find what you need or create a mess while pulling an item out. Try the konmari method, in that way you see everything when you open a drawrer.

Kind of late reply, but I got my very first IKEA PAX and put it up myself...Not hard, just time consuming. Lots the results and loving it. I put the drawers and shelves together myself...so proud. Purchasing another one.

You can try using all the same colour hangers,it saves much space and looks beautiful as well.You can put your vlothes in the drawer using the Kon mari method if you want
A tip for drawers: put your clothes in vertical so you can see everything from the top and don't need to take out a whole pile of shirts to get one... 😊❤️

Paul Allott hmm I'll look into it! I do know that you can actually add doors to these units! I didn't because it was easy for me to just leave it open and I didn't mind the look. The only thing is there are so many holes it might be a bit aggravating to buy covers for them all. I wonder if you could put some sort of strip over it. 🤔 The doors would definitely solve this problem!
I envy you so much because of your dad! My dad passed away over 3 years ago, but if he was alive he was just as handy as your dad and would be able to help me out with doing a project like this!

I tried the ikea pax system didn’t work it kept asking to install a flash player but I couldn’t find it it said that my device doesn’t support it so I ended up using the elvarli system instead 😢but it still look cool

Anyone buying a PAX system and considering the sliding doors should know the closets are and inch or two too shallow, so if you hang men's suits in it the sleeves get caught in the doors when you try to open them. You'll have to reach inside with the door partially open to push your suits in or install some kind of strap to keep them held out of the way. A little disappointing when you spend $1,000.

The produce thing is true lol i work at walmart supercenter and they always tell us to put the old stuff at the front to hurry up and get it out of the store lol so now when i shop i i go straight to the back or check the shelf life date

So involved in everything because I always wanted parents who were like this, and sadly had the opposite. I can't get the ikea planner to cooperate with me.. keeps over lapping.. so frustrating.. I want to build my design so bad and can't get it to work with me
You can do that with the computers they have at IKEA
