Yes Jamel!!! I’m so so happy you’re listening to savage garden. This was my childhood. Their music literally saved me from some tough times. Their two albums are fantastic. Darren Hayes is also an amazing singer songwriter on his own. Look his songs up, the words are phenomenal and so truthful and relatable.

When I was 19 back in the year 2000, my gf at the time won tickets to see them live. I bitched and moaned as she dragged me because I was into skate punk and hip hop only.
They were so awesome in concert. They were probably one of the groups that made me realize I was missing out on great music because of my close-mindedness.

For me it was 98. This song was in heavy rotation on the radio and at that time all I had was a room I was renting and a radio.
So this song always takes me back to laying in bed after a long night shift and shower with my first long term girlfriend.
At 19 the room, radio, and stupid young love was all we needed.

@@davidbell5528 A lot of the second album were ballads but there were plenty of songs that were not, and the ones that were more uptempo were outstanding. I actually had this song in my head recently. These guys were briefly pretty popular in the UK.
I always thought he says "Ooh I'm dying to find out", but it's apparently "Ooh I would die to find out." Small difference, but still..

I don’t know why, but I have not been getting your notifications.
In other news, this song was one of those songs for me that was monumental. The sound was fresh new vibrant and the lyrics were poignant. Can’t wait to see your reaction

Jamel I could go on for hours about this album.
Enough to say - Thank you, You always make me come back to a good place.
You see things very different then me, however you have assuredly consistently refocused my perspective to a place of contentment if not joy.
This album brought me more reality, truth, and reflection on love then I care to remember. She has passed on, and my emptiness was liken to a universal portrayal of black hole.
Yeah - I'm one of those who over see's into a song ....... always have ---- maybe that's their purpose.

The fast-paced delivery of the lyrics in the verses is what caught my attention initially, but the chorus is what reeled me in. This song is on a short list of songs that I loved the very first time I heard it.

I met someone that I was attracted to physically, it two months of seeing each other exclusively, and sleeping at one another's place every night, before we decided to finally commit. We were only together for four years, but are still "tell me where life touched you" type friends. We can tell each other anything.

I loved this song since I was a child. It brings up a memory of when I had to go to a funeral. I went for my great nana. I never met her though but I won't forget. It's a fun song to blast overall. My go to when I want nostalgia of the 90s.

Cheap Trick, I Want You to Want Me 🤣 Bridget Jones Diary, the greatest love song ever 🤣 .. Anywho, I Want You by Savage Garden is great. Do To the Moon and Back, pretty please 😁😁😁.. that particular song hits me in the feels due to my own family stuff growing up & it was the 1st song I heard by Savage Garden. I literally cried when I first heard it when it came out in the '90's. It really got me. One day, the right guy will want to fly to the moon and back for me & I him... Violet is another great song. 😄
