  • Der Wiener Architekt Jakob Dunkl besucht das radikale Kloster La Tourette von Le Corbusier in der Nähe von Lyon. I spend some days there in 2006, is a really misterios wonderful place, the building seems massive from a far but it does fit in the landscape when your there, concrete doesn't look out of place for some reason, is a bit cold inside but the rooms flow into each other and the light and views and spaces are really a revelation when one is there. Lots of textures and playful light placements and really economical but really well thought use of color

I would like to buy land around this building and grow high trees on it to spare onlookers the sight of this monstrosity.

An interesting documentary. However ~ as much as I admire Le Corbusier's work, I can not help associating this building with Vienna's "Flagtuermen". As wonderful as the various created light-effects are, the rest of the construction is (in my opinion) extremely ugly, and it sadly interferes with the loveliness of the nature surrounding it.
