    I have to admit, having a proper breakfast is a huge plus for us when choosing a hotel so this is great.

      This place has a great breakfast and it is probably similar to the Hyatt House (but I believe this is slightly better). Crystal does prefer the breakfast at the Element which had some different things. Waffles always wins my heart over and not necessarily Crystal's.

      :D I actually looked up the brand name so I could make these exact waffles at home. I make eggnog waffles year around, my own idea and recipe and they turn out great but these were just one notch above what I have been making at home!

      This was a good breakfast, probably one of the better ones being this close to Disneyland. The waffle bar is what put it over the top for us. Crystal liked the Element better but that is a bit further. Thanks and thank you for watching.

    such a long list of amazing amenities! how nice to work out before getting in that Disney cardio 🏃‍♀️ love the pool area, heated & splash area double the fun! and pool bar too much wouldn’t want to leave lol and top it all off hot breakfast with so many choices and waffle bar to boot. this is like dream hotel super nice thanks for sharing ✨

      This hotel does have quite a few nice amenities. When our kids were smaller we always looked for hotels with splash pads since they always have so much fun at them. Included breakfast does save quite a bit when you are traveling and this was one of our favorites we have had.

    Fantastic tour. Looks like a great option for a stay. There is one near WDW. Great to see.

      Thank you! How is the one near WDW? We looked at staying offsite on our last trip but by the time we factored in resort fees, parking fees, and rental car it wasn't that much of a savings. When we stay on property we don't rent a car. Thanks for watching!

    Wow, everything looks so nice! Fun fact, there's a Common Grounds coffee shop on the campus where I work. I don't think it's related, just a good name for a coffee place. Thanks for the video!

      Everything is super nice at this hotel. When we stayed at Hilton Garden Inn, the pool and restaurant were still under construction and we were pleasantly surprised how nice it is. We weren't expecting them to have that splash pad for the little ones either. We liked the name of the coffee shop too! Curiosity got me and I had to look and it looks like there are a lot of independent places with that name. As always we appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!

    I think it looks amazing! But what do you guys think? Worth the price / walk? Or would you stay closer? Have you guys done CAMBRiA yet?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  2 роки тому

      We were able to snag this hotel for a decent rate, offhand I believe it was about $175. We think it is a good hotel for the money. Of course we have seen this hotel get into the upper $200 a night range and when it is that high, you might have to think twice about booking here. This hotel can accommodate large families or groups without getting a suite and the walk isn't bad at all. Just a bit further than the HoJo.
      We have not stayed at the Cambria. We have been a bit hesitant about staying there since that huge fight broke out there when Disneyland was shut down. We do recognize things were very different back then but that still lives very vividly in our memory. We will be trip planning for future trips for later this summer and fall and might be looking at staying there.

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  Рік тому

      I just looked it up on the Hilton app. It’s $30 a night for one car. And it’s valet only here and at the connected Hilton Garden Inn. I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions ☺️

    We are strongly considering this hotel because of your excellent review. What hotel is closest to this one in price and quality, rivals its free breakfast and vicinity to DL’s entrance?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  Рік тому +1

      Probably the closest match that is a hotel, is the Element, Hyatt House, Cambria, and Desert Palms. We do have videos for each hotel. Desert Palms has rooms you can book with kitchenetts and those without. All serve a hot breakfast. Each has negatives and positives and we do go over them in each of our experience videos.
      All serve a hot breakfast that is good. Cambria and Element are the furthest away with the other three very similar in distance. All have parking fees but Cambria does have a heft resort fee. The best pools will be Home2 Suites and Cambria.
      If you want to consider a motel, Candy Cane Inn just opened up with their newly remodeled rooms. We really enjoyed our stay there and it was quiet. We have stayed there on two separate ocassions since reopening, only the standard room is published right now. The premium room is a bigger and you get breakfast delivered to your room.
      If you need more help, please let us know. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.

      @@AnaheimParkTourist Thank you so much for being so helpful. Subbed! Your suggestions are spot on been looking at some of those too. We are narrowing it down to Home2 and Candy Cane, based on distance. The breakfast and their vicinity will be such a convenience for 3 straight mornings.

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much!
      As far as the rooms are concerned, Home2 Suites is a lot bigger of a room. If there is a lot of you or a lot of stuff, it might be more comfortable for you. The breakfast is a hot breakfast but not a ton of options (it was good).
      Candy cane is a smaller room and will be tighter if there are more of you. They do offer that premium which is a bit bigger and offers more space over standard room. We were in the back of the hotel when we got the premium room and it was very quiet. We loved having breakfast delivered, however, they will not deliver waffles. We got ham and cheese croissants, doughnuts, juice, and tea delivered. Our kids went down to the breakfast room to get yogurts and other things. The breakfast room has a much bigger selection of item but it is more along the lines of a continental breakfast.
      We normally don't take shuttles, but if you time your Disneyland exit time with the shuttle pick up, it only takes about 2 minutes to get back to the hotel. We lucked out once and were able to take the shuttle back and it was nice not having to walk.
      Of course a lot depends on personal preference, needs, and wants. Both are great options and we think you can't go wrong with either. If you are parking a car, Candy Cane does have free parking. While Home2 Suites is valet only so take that in mind. Parking is $30 a day + valet tip.

    I have been binge watching all your videos! I’m so conflicted on where to stay. 😩 The dates I’m looking to book for are running around 300 a night. Would you say it’s worth it ?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  2 роки тому +1

      Home 2 Suites is a great option but $300 is pricy and parking is $30 a day. We paid a total price of $246.87 per night which included all taxes and parking fees. Without telling me your dates, are you planning on going at a peak time, or is there a convention in town? That is about the most expensive we have seen this hotel and Disney is running some specials on their hotels right now which make them more affordable closer to this price.
      Things to factor in- Breakfast is included and this level of breakfast is equivalent to a Denny's or IHOP (not as many options of course). This would run you about $15-$20 per person for daily breakfast. If you are more like us, we do a quick pastry at Starbucks or another coffee shop and that runs about $10-$12 per person with drinks. You have breakfast so factor those prices into your total cost.
      Room size is large. It is nice having a kitchen but if you aren't going to use that kitchen and the breakfast isn't a big deal look at the connecting Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are slightly smaller but they are still big. There is plenty of room to spread out. That is what we really like about the rooms in both the Garden Inn and Home2 Suites, they are big
      Another hotel to check out is the Element, we have stayed there but not published the video. Our top 10 walking distance video does show a few clips. The rooms are laid nicely, have an occupancy of 6 and they also have a wonderful breakfast.
      Both the Element and Home2 Suites are pet friendly if that makes a difference.
      Do you need to sleep 6? Do you want breakfast? We can give you more information to help with your decision making process if you can answer those questions.

      @@AnaheimParkTourist so, it’s just going to be 2 adults and two kids. I wanted to get somewhere with breakfast included which is what I like. I like the modern updated rooms. My dates are middle of June so I’m not sure if that’s peak? I also wanted something close to Parks. 10 -12 min max also because to be able to walk back to the room in between. I’ve checked out the holiday express inn on Manchester as well as best western mini suites but I feel like for the price I can get something better. I’m not feeling the vibe on those . Is the element walking distance?

      June is peak season at Disneyland. The good news, many of the Magic Passes are blocked and the crowds tend to be more tolerable for ticket holders. This also means more visitors in the area which means higher hotel prices.
      The Element is slightly further away, here is a walk from the Suncoast which is right next door to the Element. This will give you an idea if this is too far. It really is on the cusp of being to far for some people. ua-cam.com/video/eHQtaNeeG1o/v-deo.html
      This or the Element is starting to sound like the right hotel for you. We haven't stayed there but the Convention Center Residence Inn does have a breakfast and their prices are slightly more than Home2 Suites. The two of us would rather walk to Home2 Suites at the end of the long day. (we are both here answering this). Additionally the pool and splash are nice for the kids at Home2 Suites.
      The breakfast at The Element was slightly better. They had Chobani Yogurt, crepes, eggs, turkey bacon, cereal, oatmeal with toppings. Bagels and bread, pastries and muffins. Both Home2 Suites and Element have juice, coffee, and tea. The breakfast room was much bigger a the Element. Crystal preferred the Breakfast at the Element, while the waffle makers pushed Home2 Suites to the top for me.
      The hotels that offer breakfast in the same walking area. Hyatt House, Residence Inn, Element, Home2 Suites, Holiday Inn, Both Best Westerns on Harbor, and Desert Palms.
      We haven't stayed at Desert Palms, but we will this weekend when we meet up with friends. We are more than happy to tell you our experience there. Our friends have and they enjoyed their stay. They have a wide variety of rooms as well.
