Leo and Heather, my wife and I are big fans! I’m actually a cousin of Leo’s. We share the same Grandfather, Ephriam Hatfield. Got a story idea about two unusual graves. Two brothers from Braxton County, John (a Confederate) and Andrew (a Yankee) fought at Droop Mountain, W.V. That night, Andrew found John’s dead body (can you believe the irony) took down Mt to Hillsboro where he was buried with Yankee soldiers, many his friends. In 1867 Gov. had graves moved to Grafton National Cemetery. As far as anyone knows, John Short is the only confederate soldier buried in a National Cemetery. Forgive me if I’m taking up to much space and time, I’m an old man from the woods and don’t much about computers…In Lewisburg there’s a cemetery where all the graves are covered with grass except one (Leo’s gonna love this), even when Bob Evans was alive it’s said he sent special Kentucky grass seed to try but even it didn’t work. There was a couple who were married for years and had several children but they just couldn’t get along, they divorced, the man later married. When he and second wife died they were buried side by side (REMEMBER THERE WERE NO SPACES LEFT!) The first wife missed her ex-husband so much ( YOU KNOW WHAT’S COMING) against all protests, when her time came… she was buried on top of him😮 Baby the grass don’t grow…. Check the hotel General Lee for info on second story. I have more stories if you like. Your cousin, Pop Hunter

That’s a beautiful sound (the train) to me, Leo. Brings back precious memories of my childhood in Logan County-Omar, Pine Creek and Cow Creek. Missed the festival this year.😔 I was a teenager when it first started! (16). I was looking for a man! Hahahahahahahaha! Those were the days, Leo and Boney. It used to be packed! ❤
I have to ask you a question and please reply as it will mean so much to me. My Dad was a blind Man that was born in Williamson and he was a self taught Guitar player. Dad played on the streets there and sang gospel and blues. Dad ended up being a professional and opened a few times for Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs after we moved to Beckley WV. You would have been a young man when my Dad played there, sometimes he had his twin with him and he had his eyes. My Dad was Claude McGrady and if you or any of your viewers remember him please reply. One more thing he was born on a Mountain top called Chicken Ridge, have you heard of it?
Heather looked so cute in her new hat. I really enjoyed the festival, so much to see and all that great looking food Thank you Leo and Heather
