"When You Walk in the Room" is a song written and recorded by Jackie DeShannon, and released in 1963. It has been covered by many artists, including The Searchers the following year. The Searchers version reached #5 in the U.K. and #35 in the U.S.

I fed a cellar spider every day last summer with little bugs I caught outside.

My spiders got really fat....yes I fed them well. FYI...if you're going to keep/raise more than one....make sure they are the same size. The little ones become dinner.
