  • Hi, I'm Andy and welcome to FORGE WRIGHT.
This video shows the fabrication of a pedestal stand for my 72" x 2" scorpion grinder. It is made from an old car rim, a length of 200 diameter gal pipe, some 10mm steel plate and a couple of pieces of 40mm angle iron.
It is very heavy which makes it extremely stable, but as it has a rim for the base it is still quite mobile, which is great for moving around the workshop if I ever need to rearrange my workspace.
Thanks for watching this video and if you enjoy it please give it the Thumbs Up and make sure you Hit the Subscribe Icon and Share with your friends.

..Great build Andy !! Those "buggy" wheels are just wright for that purpose. Most all of them i've seen warp. On your welding table you might consider making an end leaf kinda like on a woodworking bench that has a vise on the end that stays flush with the surface. Then you can use some blocks on the table and the vise to hold down longer items. just me rambling. Still a Great job and "Just Wright"...!!
