I am not happy about the Dino mode. They went with toy accuracy instead of, you know, 86 movie accuracy. In the few shots he is in of the final cut you can see he has a longer backside. And not a squished in one.
Fantastic review Ham-Man!!! Snarl is currently my favorite of the SS86 Dinobots, due in no small part to Snarl transforming into my favorite dinosaur, stegosaurus. :D Keep on being amazing.
I love Snarl and was really happy with him. I know he is based off of the old toy, but my only gripe is I wish they would have moved the tail a bit higher on the hips to evoke cross between modern depiction on a Stegosaurus.
Was expecting Snarl to be the first of the summer figures to ship from my Amazon pre orders since He was literally first one I pre ordered but he has not shipped and I have literary gotten every other August pre order that came after him .
I always think it’s interesting which bits they choose to incorporate and which bits they don’t. Like they gave him a sword like his first appearance in the show, but a tail like the old school toy
I’m happy they made a Snarl in the same awesome robot mode. These leader class bots are definitely some of the best in the line. I just wish the plates were slightly larger to be in better proportion to his stocky body. Snarl is thic. I also think there was so much clearance on the back for them to build in more articulation to allow for the tail to have been moved out more. It bugs me he is touching most of the time on five points. The sword is cool. I’ll order a 3rd party gun. I like you can get some head pivot by releasing that panel above the Dino head. Sure it looks a little turtle like but it allows for more posing. The tail and small plates is a bit of a bummer. Only a bit. Oh yeah getting his back lower leg out of the forearm was such a chore due to the how tight that pivot point was. Had to pry it out.
Oh yeh for sure, at first I thought I must have been doing something wrong with that forearm. It’s loosened up a lil after a few transformations. I think I’d still prefer that as an issue over sludges loose knees. It is defs a shame he can’t do any decepticon damage with that tail.
Interesting, the tail is one of the weakest looking versions of that I've seen on any figure. The fact that the gold Doesn't connect is some how a big issue to me.
Everything about this Snarl is amazing... except... that tail placement in Dino mode. Looks like he's about to do a butt-scoot across the floor. Yeah, it bothers me, and it really shouldn't, but it bothers me, even more than Sludge's no articulated foot/toe issue. I am hoping to see some type of 3rd party tail improvement, but it'll be tricky. Bot mode is Boss Mode though. Snarl's a Super G in bot mode!

Totally agree. It worries me less when they’re all together but it would be great to make him mash some seekers with his tail

I only got Grimlock, somehow rest of dinobots have weird faces. Maybe I get Swoop if he is an accesory pack with swords.

I know exactly what you mean. I get the choice, but it would have been a more fun toy if you could pose out that tail
