Unfortunately, most of the Us can’t tell apart Chinese from Korean or any other East Asians . If the us-China relationship keeps souring, it’s going to have an impact on all of us.
i am American. i will say it will impact those imparticularly whom do not speak and write in american. something else that causes issues is when someone says i am this ethnicity instead of just saying their american. when i talk to folks and they say their african, asian, european, etcetera i think their a foreigner. if you have asian descent just say your american. it will solve alot of issues.
@@thomgriI mean, you can say you're American all you want, but if you look Asian or nonwhite, you'll never be viewed as American because people will always ask you, 'No, where are you really from?'.
It depends on where are you from and which generation of immigrants. Many first generation immigrants are not as influenced by western media and do not hate China as much, unless you are an asylum seeker from China. Also notice that Chinese have a much better impression of Taiwan than Taiwanese do of China. This shows the difference in media propaganda within both countries. Also even if China does something cool, the western mainstream media would also not report it unless you dig hard to find out, or they will twist it in a bad way. Also the hate in China is NOT worldwide, it's is mostly in the western world. If you read news from more neutral countries in Asia, you would realize that. Do you know that China just found a cure to diabetes so sufferers don't need to keep paying for insulin anymore? Big Pharma in the US hates that though so the western mainstream media is keeping very quiet about that.
Also they even did one for the US at the same time this one was made which looks to be pretty accurate incase you think it’s just bias. pretty interesting to look at
@@xspree6340 Yeah that was weird that they included the US which is obviously not an Asian country. I suppose if an Asian immigrated, or grew up here, they generally would have good impression of the US, otherwise they would have left.
I appreciate you because I am a country club Chinese American who grew up away from all other Chinese in the world. I have just started to come out of the woods in the past 7 years. In this video David rightly went back to the late 19th century up through numerous anti-Chinese sentiments in US and even specific legislation against Chinese-American immigrants. The US government and the wealthy few are literally afraid of China whom they don’t realize have been #1 for all of human history in a 700 years up and 250 years down CYCLE. But you have to go back two plus millennia when waves of nomadic warriors rode out of the Mongolian steppes and swept over Central Asia, Asia Minor, the MIddle East, and Central Europe. The Hungarians and Finnish were affected and the Germanic tribes who make up Great Britain were pushed out of their territories because of the Asiatic nomads conquering the steppes. If the steppes extended beyond the Hungarian plains, then you would see even more intra-family and inter-family distrust and hatred of Chinese-Xiongnu-Turk-Hun-Yuezi-and a hundred other northern slant-eye --fueling an atavistic intense dislike. White people are really afraid of Chinese people. Payback is a bitch, I can attest to that, but guess where we are in the Chinese CYCLE! I’mmmmmm back!
Im a Chinese American , born to a HK-Chinese parents who instilled a love and appreciation for the Chinese culture. Even with my siblings the lessons didn’t always stick. To each their own, I’ve traveled a lot and spent a lot of time in China and made it a priority to teach and show my kids what China and Chinese ppl is really like so they won’t be those misinformed brainwashed citizens.
I hope you explained what communism is to your kids. Communism is not Chinese culture, it was invented by the Satan worshipper white man Karl Marx. Who literally said, he invented communism as an anti Christian ideology. China is communist ( currently ), and a dictatorship ( all Communism is dictatorship ), so I hope your children are no brainwashed into thinking communism is good. And the Chinese people are not the govt and neither is the country. So what's your opinion of the CCP ?
As east Asian American, we will be target of discriminations if US have hating issue with Japan and Korea. I remember in the 80's They think I was Japanese when America was having economic issue with Japan car imports and they told me to go back to Japan.
As a mainlander coming to study in the US, I saw and heard that ppl like us are more negatively treated by Chinese Americans even than by other Americans. (There are many ppl posted their stories on xhs, about how they are poorly treated by another mean Chinese American student.) I feel what you said at the end of the video is on point. Some of them even dislike themselves as Chinese Americans, how can they like being around with us?😢
There is a lot of racism against Chinese people here and it is not just against Chinese from China, but Chinese from everywhere else, including Filipinos who look slightly Chinese. I keep telling my Chinese friends not to come here, because they would be HATED upon in the US.
I came to the LA area in 1986 and was the ONLY mainland Chinese person in school and didn't ever find another one in my friend circle, even until adulthood. That plus the fact I didn't know any English back then made for a very traumatic first 2 years in the US. I remember crying every night saying I wanted to go back home. Children are so mean to others who don't have the same accent, call things by different names, and don't have the same childhood experiences. The non-Asians and ABCs just don't talk to you but the Taiwanese kids will laugh at you for the littlest things and gang up on you because there are many of them and only one of me. For self preservation, I subconsciously started to speak Chinese with a Taiwanese accent and my dad would comment on it all the freaking time like it was embarrassing for him. Americans are basically brainwashed to think everything bad about mainland China regardless of the truth. For a long time I was ashamed but not anymore. Things have changed so much in China these days but anyone who's never been there or know anything about China will continue to think of it as it was 40 or 50 years ago. Even my own mother who hasn't been back since we came here mistrusts anything "made in China" and I keep telling her things have changed so much but she just changes the subject. I just wish people aren't so narrowminded and prejudiced when it comes to China. Just because the government is different than the government here, it shouldn't necessarily be concluded that life there is automatically terrible.
@ArtIsDrawing The number of Chinese Americans in the US are so small and insignificant, politically, that we have to call ourselves Asian Americans in order to have some semblance of political power. But Asian Americans is a very diverse group. Chinese Americans should learn from the Jewish Americans. They are a minority and yet very rich and very politically powerful in the US, forming AIPAC, the most powerful lobbying organization in the US!
@iGetComputersPuting I Lowkey Js said that I have no problem for the country and people itself. But the leader. He is basically enslaving them. Have you seen or read stories about people from North Korea escaping?
Keep in mind, in the same period at the height of the pandemic that this survey was conducted, the US government ran a literal disinformation campaign about Chinese vaccines in Asia, with such brilliant slogans as "China is the virus".
China kicking their ass in so many areas don’t help either. If my country is hated by the Americans I take as a badge of honor. It means my country is truly free and truly kicking ass until they fear us

@@nightowl7261 DNA testing is known to have huge inaccuracies, particularly among BIPOC people because the pool of BIPOC people who have taken the tests is so small. Only 1 in 10 white Americans have taken it. That's not a lot, still, but makes it easier to find family members. But it's still not enough to be able to believe that one's ethnic percentages are accurate. @20:00 this is the gem of the entire video. The less confident, less inquisitive Chinese Americans can give off a self-hating vibe because that's the narrative the American media around them pushes. Those who are more confident will understand the nature of geopolitics and the media-spin byproduct, and will go out of their way to get exposure to the actual China and other Asian countries. I've been commenting this a lot lately but I'll give it a shout here too: The way parents and other elders treat their Chinese American kids is often harmful and over time causes the insecurity in ABCs. I was like this too. When you ridicule and criticise instead of encourage your kids speaking Chinese, many of them will grow up abandoning their roots. This includes microaggressions (yes, I used the M-word) such as teasing or humbling them in front of their relatives for "being too westernised." Why should your kids try if they're only going to be made fun of?
The phenomenon of blaming china for anything and everything that US cant solve is just fascinating. Everybody in politics and public media has to hate China😂, is that on their work manual now?
I'm Hmong, and our people have had the most contacts and conflicts in China for well over 5 thousand of years. We have found refuge in other lands and countries, but at the end of the day, China or better known Zhongguo is still the motherland of all our main 56 ethnicities there. Regardless of beliefs, traditions, and political parties, at the end of the day, we are still one. If you only listen to Western media, then you will only hear the negatives. You must travel there to see the prosperity and success there. All civilizations grow when everyone strives it together. Imagine if today there was no 1 China, there would've been 56 little countries within. I rather be 1 and united than split up like what you've seen some countries have now and it is very sad while outsiders are only playing or using you as puppets and laugh behind your backs while you're killing each other. 1st time in our Hmong history that we had over 80 years of peace and prospering together in China. No more northern and southern great walls to block us to be free and feed each other and, better yet, having to live under any dominate group or person. Long live Zhongguo, the Middle Kingdom! Our ancestors never knew how big this world was afterall. Only when the day comes when the world will unite and be one to stop the fight and hatred. Until being underattacked by aliens from other universe, we all need to try for world peace.
I am just telling and speaking the truth - "hmong" is not exactly liked anywhere. even Quentin Tarantino had to give a try giving that culture a slap. even when mongs went to india they became the worst possible caste of the lowest possible group.
Thanks for your kind words. If the so-called "Han Chinese" or Sinitic people really deserve to apologize to anyone, then Hmong-Mien and Tai-Kradai are the two groups of people that they need to apologize to. I mean just think about it, the Imperial Sinitic dynasties were quite harsh on the native Hmong peoples in Southern China and often mistreated them, yet your ancestors not only managed to preserve their language and ethnic identity and passed them down to you but they also flourished in their new homeland in SE Asia. In my opinion the Hmongs are a very resilient people and you guys deserve my respect. I'm of Southwest Chinese descent and I know a few words of Hmong as well as some words in Tai-Kradai languages, and I consider you guys to be my brothers and sisters.
And a Hmong person who really touched my heart was Miss Universe Laos 2022 Payengxa Lor, who is of Hmong origin. I remember she entered top 16 in the Miss Universe competition of that year which was held in America. However what touched me the most was not her looks but what she did afterwards. In 2022 the anti-Asian hate crime was at its highest in America, but after the competition she stayed in America for a while and went to the Hmong and Laotian communities to show her support. And she didn't just visit those communities she also went to Chinatowns to show her support for them, which was a very kind gesture considering that she's not even Chinese and I'm thankful of her for doing that.
Most Asian diaspora left their original countries for various reasons and those who left for many generations ago were even fleeing war (ironically some caused by U.S, some sided with the U.S during their intervention and lost) while other diaspora were just looking for more opportunities abroad. Most political baggage carried by the old diaspora are probably outdated or no longer applicable anymore. The country moved on. These past grievances are a minority but these politics are often picked up by westerners and use it to condemn country or even amplify it for other ulterior motives. The sad part is that the diaspora are unaware and still stuck in a past as it is the last memory of the country they left. If the diaspora ever returned to the same places they left, it would not be the same anymore. Agree with the comment about China, China has done the least worse, more good than bad to be honest. There had been many civil wars, it's had some tensions with neighbors but it's never escalated to have caused a horrendous mass deaths, at least not as U.S had done in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Myanmar etc etc those are often overlooked and forgotten. Everything is glazed over by Sinophobic politics, much of what is promoted by the west today is purely for control and other geopolitical objectives. My advice to Asians here in the west, you may have your grievances but do NOT let yourselves be used for the white man's geopolitical objectives in Asia, they need any excuse to cause war and bring mass deaths to Asia, it only benefits them and their profits. Asia is on it's way to the top right now we should be proud and empowered by this!

And back then, even before China got belligerent, US was already establishing military bases around it. Of course China gotta defend itself.
Where are you getting the news that China is instigating the dispute? Let me guess…CNN, FOX, WION, SKY, BBC, NYT, WSJ, Japanese News = they all have one thing in common = jealousy.
** Correction - ASEAN can be mentioned separately - there is NO need to involve "Asean". When a conflict happens - the leader of ASEAN (Singapore) will instruct the rest to take a policy of Non-alignment. The reason why we can do this is because filipines largely depend on the economy of Singapore (domestic maids/nurse etc), which is why the USA host the Shangri-La dialogue here in Singapore. (Importantly to mention - Singapore has been doing our very best to get China to be more active and involve towards being our trade partner, technology and everything economic related.) There is no grounds that Asean will be activated just because filipines has some sort of issue of any form. We really won't do anything.
Asian Americans should all come together despite how we feel about each other and create this solidarity and brotherhood to protect and counter all the hate crimes in the U.S. against us. So wrong and unfair if you ask me.

Several points... First, Americans have had a close cultural connection to Japan and South Korea for decades. Japan and South Korea have been close US allies, as well. So it's no surprise that these countries are viewed more favorably by _____-Americans. Second, Americans have been fed a constant diet of anti-China propaganda for decades (Communism, no liberal democracy). They've been indoctrinated to democratic ideology. So it is expected that they would view China negatively. Third, China may have done some unsavory things but so has America. Which country has done more or far worse in this respect? The answer is pretty obvious. China hasn't done anything that the USA hasn't done more egregiously. So let's cut the hypocrisy, shall we?
Lets cut the hypocrisy, China is worse to live in. Taking apart both current and past crimes China is worse as a regular citizen. Lets just look at the separation of rural and urban people and the inability to move. Don't get me wrong I see the positives as well such as safety but the cons outweigh the negatives. Being outside the norm just makes you a target there even more so.

China is encroaching on Filipino territorial waters and attacking their fishing boats. America is not doing that. There's a reason all of China's neighbors hate it. And it's not all because of propaganda. It's China's actions.
Ok, I'll be honest. When I was younger, I definitelly have hostility toward Chinese people either due to our complicated History (I'm Vietnamese btw). However, after years of studying and working in the U.S some of my closer friend is actually from China. It really depends on the person.

You cant become sucessful without having haters. All that matters is that the Chinese today are thriving and are able to live a far more comfortable life today. Besides living in the west, these asians are conditioned to see China as the enemy given the type of news they get bombarded with as China continues to grow. I personally feel pride as a Chinese Australian seeing China do so well without the need to colonise/plunder other nations to achieve their goals.
Not so sure about that benevolence. When I lived in Africa the locals regularly remarked how Chinese activities smelled a lot like colonialism, and there was a growing sense of alarm and disappointment about the quality of their projects there.
Chinas economy might be thriving but their culture clearly does not. They are rude, loud and really awkward. And they act terribly in other countries and politically provoke their neighbors.
I was born and raised in China and immigrated to US as an adult. I see a lot of ABCs that share the similar views as you due to the racism they have faced in the west. I understand that believing there is a big and strong "motherland" full of your own people, but is villainized by the evil white people can make you feel more empowered, but the brutal truth is that Chinese Communist Party is one of the most ruthless and destructive regimes in the world. It has unalived more of its own people than all of foreign enemies combined. I'd encourage you to read up on Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution. It's easy to say the tragedies are simply in the past, and view the current CCP favorably from abroad when you never got locked in your own apartment for 6 months like they did to tens of millions of Shanghainese in 2022. They are absolutely have the capability and will to commit mass murd*r of their own people again in order to stay in power. Not sure why my comment keeps getting removed. Not surprised though.

Sinophobia: recently manifested in 2018 during Trump Trade War. It then linked itself to all those other past sinophobia and combined with the 2nd Cold War anti-China PR. Pretty sure the same poll listed that older Asian American have the worst scores while the youngest Americans have much better scores. As for Japan, look at their current right-wing Japanese politicians who rules the nation, do they feel "contrite" about what they did back then? That is in stark contrast how Germany had progressed since WW2. Many Asian Americans just didn't know about that history since it is not propagated in American media. Agreed with Chinese American's own insecurity which intensified due to COVID Asian hate. But in recent years, I found more confidences in Chinese Americans than in the past precisely because China is now second only to America. Thus Chinese Americans DARED to openly protest against violence against them unlike in the decades prior.
about the crime of Japan, it's like a Asian version of NAZI. But the thing is that, when it comes to the history of WW2, almost everyone and their gramma knows about the German NAZI and the terrible things they've done, such as how they treat the jewish people. But when it comes to Japan or Nanjing masscre, much less ppl might know this part of history. That's pretty unfair to all Asian ppl in my opinion

Democratic Japan was hated and bashed in the 80s because their economy was perceived to be overtaking #1 USA. The plaza accord stopped and froze the Japanese economy for decades and Japan was loved again. Moral of the story: USA must be dominant at all costs
I’ve been to 17 countries and many of those countries do not like Chinese. From Thailand to Argentina, I witnessed the displeasure from the locals when they talk or interact with Chinese tourists. I believed it is down to bad behavior and lack of proper manners of Chinese tourists when they visit these countries. Filipinos love South Koreans (thanks to Kpop) but SKoreans don’t love them back. All I can say is look at history. Please read about The Battle of Yultong of 1951 where nearly 7,000 Filipino soldiers fought for you (SKoreans) in your soil. Imagine, 7,000 Filipinos vs 40,000 Chinese & North Koreans.
I don't think it has to do with South Koreans don't love Filipinos, but it's more that they are indifferent to some of their characteristics or personality traits.
Ahhh there he is. The filipino who has to make everything about his country bcuz he thinks pinoys deserve all the respect in the world. Bro there were many countries involved in the Korean war and many soldiers died from many nations.
We really need to distinguish the government from the people. China is not the same as the PRC. If North Korea was in the same poll, my guess is that they would be ranked the worst, and deservedly so. Does that mean that we are anti-Korean? Clearly not! This tells us that when say “China” in polls like this, we are falling for the tricks played by the CCP that tries to conflate China with the PRC. So any criticism of the PRC is misinterpreted and misrepresented by the CCP as a criticism of China and its people. Just as North Korea deserves its terrible reputation, President Xi has caused terrible harm to Chinese people with his Maoist philosophy and policies. President Xi’s government has alienated much of the world and brought economic hardship to the people of China who are the main victims of the CCP. Just like the fact that the people of North Korea are the main victims of the Korean Worker’s Party, aka the North Korean Communists.

Communist China's aggressive behavior towards Taiwan, Philippines, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, and Vietnam have given Communist China a deservedly scary reputation. This survey is not about the people or culture themselves but how national governments are perceived by Asian Americans. China has one of the most powerful military forces and biggest economy of the region. So when a fleet of Chinese Merchant Marine ships act aggressively to non-Chinese shipping in the South China Seas it looks bad. China has a reputation of being a scary aggressive people to be around. China does not have an independent mass media agency to check the government. All mass media sources in China are beholden to the CCP government. The guy who commented that Koreans view ourselves as Aryans is wild. We obviously are not Aryan (North Indians are), and we don't think that we are European either. Maybe the commenter thought so because Koreans like fair skin...? One Japanese guy did really think like that at one point though, and came up with the 'Datsu-A-ron (out of Asia philosophy)', claiming that Japanese people are European. Obviously the Europeans thought he was ridiculous. And I think Asians aren't necessarily jealous of each other, but are trying to protect themselves from others, just like how Europeans fight each other (as a defense mechanism) all the time. Especially when China has a huge influence politically. Koreans for example hate China (the government especially) after Xi Jinping became the leader, because his government is censors the hell out of the media and even releases false information. China once said hanbok is a Chinese outfit and Son Heungmin is a Chinese athlete when they are obviously Korean. Korea was at one point invaded by China during the Korean war, so we will take such moves seriously. Just to give you a context - Koreans did not view China that badly when Hu Jintao was the leader.
China did not invade Korea during the Korean War- you’re showing your brainwashed ignorance by Western propaganda. China and N Korea together fought against the U.S. army and U.S. backed S Korean government. The Chinese economic miracle has largely depended upon the Hukou system (whether Hukou as a means of “primitive accumulation” is a prerequisite to industrialization is a separate question), which the rural population has been heavily exploited (reason why Li Keqiang said that there are 600 million people living under 2000 RMB a month) to benefit the coastal areas (which provided the middle class) and foreign investors. In other words, foreign businesses actually love how the Chinese government is authoritarian, because they don’t have to hire security guards to break down strikes (all they had to do is to call the local government and security forces would arrive to crush any disobedience). However, we can see that the Chinese economic and political upper class love to send their relatives to the US, which means that they don’t want their children to live under the Chinese political system, but they also don’t want the rest of the Chinese population to enjoy the same rights that their children enjoy. The Chinese middle class is comparably small (in terms of percentage of the total population) compared to the west. If the Chinese middle class grows to a size as large as the west percentage-wise, I don’t think the current political system will be sustainable.
You have no idea what you’re saying. You’re making up stuff at best, brainwashed at worst. Today’s China has a bigger middle class than USA due to the collapse of U.S. manufacturing and industry. To wit: the creation of the Mid-West Rust Belt. Meanwhile, China is the world’s factory. Majority of China’s population is located along the Eastern coastline - geography, weather, water resources, agriculture, and transportation encourage economic development in the coastal region. China’s rural population has declined substantially as more workers join the manufacturing and industrial sector located in the Eastern coastal area. As the cost of living in China is much lower than in USA many Chinese are middle class than American. To wit: Chinese workers avail themselves to low cost massive transportation network, low cost electricity, diverse food, housing without property tax, and a national healthcare. These same basic needs in USA cost substantially more or nonexistent. Finally, your comparing China’s treatment of its 50+ rural ethnic groups to South Africa’s apartheid is the height of ignorance ; it’s not worthy of a comment.
It's your opinion but I don't think it's accurate. The whole notion of sending Children abroad is not due to the failure of the internal education system. China's education system is not perfect but it works, the number scientist and engineers that graduate each year is insane! It is definitely a driving factor of industrial and economic development. Also, the wealthy sent abroad to study as extended education, it does not substitute the education provided by the Chinese system, contrary to the popular belief of Western University being superior, they are treated more like cash cows for foreign students, it is known for brand more so than merit.
oh and you are also misinformed about the Chinese middle class, it os quite the opposite of western countries where the middle class is being squeezed by the upperclass and large corporations but in China the middle class is huge and growing as part of the governments drive for poverty alleviation. Sorry I just had to correct ypu just incase someone comes across your comment and mistakens it as truth. Not your fault but you just need to be a little more informed.
@@AntiwarObserver Where did I criticize the Chinese education system in my comment? I’m saying that Chinese political and business elites are sending their children and relatives to parts of the world where political rights and private property are secured. They know that their political system is inherently problematic and unsustainable, and want to protect their loved ones from being harmed by it. I believe the rest of the Chinese population deserves to enjoy those benefits too.
@@AntiwarObserver The Chinese government prefers a society that atomic and incapable of self-organization. Take the example of Sun Dawu and his agricultural business, which provided healthcare and other benefits to its employees better than the government could provide.

You love the Chinese people but hate China’s government- good try. You’ve been brainwashed by Western propaganda - a common affliction among the Filipinos. One Western colonial masters after another have colonized the Filipinos. Each colonial power told them to surrender Tagalong language for Dutch, Spanish, English, Japanese, or English, again depending on who dominated the Philippines. Many Filipinos even adopted Catholicism or other Western religion; others consider themselves Westerners by acquiring Western pop culture while surrendering their Filipinos heritage. Meanwhile, each colonial power looted, scammed, raped, and exploited the Philippines’ rich natural resources and naive Filipinos. Even after Philippines’ independence of 1947, the colonial power subjugated the Filipinos using puppet government and Western propaganda. Today’s Philippines remain a poor, under developed nation - courtesy of Western powers. GI Joe left the American legacy in Subic Bay and Clark bases: brothels, kinky prostitution, gay sex, STD, HIV, go-go bars, narcotic addiction, alcoholism, trafficking, and fatherless children. I would love to know internal Asian illegal immigration like which Asian countries have received the most illegal immigrants and from where. Good topic as always, thanks,
Most of the internal Asian illegal immigrants would be residing in Southeast Asia, India and the Maldives due to geographical proximity to conflict zones and areas that produce an abundance of migrant workers which these countries accept in large numbers (e.g. Myanmar, Bangladesh). Overall, Malaysia would be #1 because it also allows the UNHCR to process refugee applications in the country so the country is a stop over point for refugees from around Asia (including the Middle East) as well as Africa. Many of these refugees may stay on illegally by overstaying visas if they are not accepted for third nation resettlement.

Can confirm.
Chinese people are mostly okay except for the rowdy Chinese tourists. It's funny because some part of my ethnicity is Chinese. As a Filipino, I don't really like how the Chinese government is treating ASEAN countries regarding island disputes.
Remember, China bad not because for the fun of it, but to defend themselves. PH has an MDT with the US so the least they can do is to mitigate a potential SCS blockade by the US. And back then, even before China got belligerent, US was already establishing military bases around it. Of course China gotta defend itself.
Treated like what? Its not the chinese who started this dispute and also everyone are ok with china, only american slave filipino.
The “rowdy” tourists are typically the Caucasian ones that have no respect for other countries or cultures.

No big surprise. Pretty much within the worst period in terms of Chinese PR.
And I would NOT trust any "Western" polls. They all have ties to US g0v't / ClA. They exist to manipulate minds.

But China news by its neighboring states like Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and Australia give outsiders a more balanced view of China that you won't get in American society which can be xenophobic at times. Korean society is a more emotionally upfront. Filippino society is more outgoing and forgiving - but given their long colonial history Filipino society could be more resentful but they are not.

Japan & S Korea are inviting foreigners to deal with their problems, but idk if ppl would wanna migrate to China. Their economy continues to grow but it's been slowing down.

I endorse Qin Hui’s view that the Chinese Hukou system resembles the Apartheid system in former South Africa, except it is not race based but urban-rural based. The Hukou system is definitely not sustainable in the long run and should be abolished just like the apartheid.

Things wrong with China, Corruption, Tofu Buildings, Horrible Food Safety, Polution, Dancing Granies that play their music WAY TOO LOUD! I rate the Philippines number 1. They are the most kind and caring in Asia I find. (I find Vietnamese also kind) South Korea number 2 they have done an amazing job starting with nothing and very little land to create a powerhouse of a country.
South koreq work ehtic is off the chain. There is q reason why koreqns drink because of the stress. Thqta asia countries. Look at axhool atudents are alao the janitors
As a mainland Chinese, I wish my people could distinguish between the CCP and China.
Why does it matter? Be proud of Chinese regardless. People need to respect others political party and their way of running the country. I like the ccp as an Asian American because I hate irresponsible adults who just know how to blame others instead of being more self determined and find ways to get better.

The question itself is nonsensical at the best, harmful more fairly. There was no poll about the most favorable and the least favorable nationalities in the pre second world war Germany. Not surprising. The CCP cultural devolution completely wiped out everything classic, beautiful, respectful and elegant about ancient china. The only remnants of it lie in Japan and S. Korea, and surprise surprise they are far better respected than the original, china.

I'm from Hungary (Europe) and my parents are Chinese. Most Hungarians never even talked with a Chinese, but they have pretty strong opinions about China. In my opinion the western media is responsible for everything thats negative basically. The Hungarians should be generally grateful for China for helping the majority of Hungarian population with its economical support. In the 90's almost everything that was affordable to the general public was from China. Long story short: western media.

Honestly i think if china was led by another gov the world might have a different view/opinion on china but with xi reputation and communist party regime things will neva change.
It’s actually not. Sinophobia is the word since 19th century long before CCP exists. It may on different topics but not in good views. China is too big with very rich history, and it will be a threat to western cultures sooner or later regardless of the political system or leaders.
