well this isn't very helpful. I am really curious about the sound quality with that pickup, but all you did was tap on your guitar. You should've just stuck that on drums!

Order this item, it came direct from China. It didn't came with battery. It took 3 weeks to arrived. Is made very well. And for this to sound good you better have a good amplifier like the one his playing on. I converted to use with a magnet and works well. Instructions are in Chinesse
an magnetic pickup would be a better choice for guitar.You should combine both piezoelectric and magnetic pickup.Because the piezo only capture the vibration from the wood and resonant vibration which is influenced by its properties.Not the vibration of the string itself so the signal sounds flat.

If your amp has a headphone jack, I am pretty sure you can connect your headphones to that while the the guitar is plugged to the amp
It needs an amplifier because the output of the mic is very low voltage even our headphones can't hear.
My amplifier have buzz sound when I am attach guitar cable and I have patch pickup.
