The song, aside from being a killer, is pure genius. It provokes all those who still insist that Rammstein "must have" fascist leanings. After all, a title like "Mein Land"...written by xenophobes, right? And so those haters walk into the trap. The song, in fact, describes the plight of immigrants and refugees. As always, classic Rammstein brilliance. If you can't convince them, taunt them.
Another curious note is that Oliver is actually a good surfer, he has been seen on several occasions on the beaches of Oaxaca, here in Mexico, surfing 👌🏼💕

I agree that it would be a killer song live - unfortunately, now on 2022 tour they still don't play it.
Who knows, maybe next year they'll do some slight changes to the setlist? I'd love to see Dicke Titten, Angst and Mein Land live - and although I'm going to their concert tomorrow (HELL YEAH! 😃), if I see such a change I'm in to buy tickets for 2023 tour!

there are a couple home videos with Till swimming xD, W Lindemann wrote that he for several years didn't t see his son because they have all weekends competitions, and he was in a boarding school for Athletes from 10 to 16 yo, he had a muscle tortion in the stomach after being overtrained, you can see the scar on the chest.

There is a making of. It is fairly hilarious as well. You also get the view of the models of working with Rammstein (hint, it is favourable).
Interestingly enough, this song was released about two years before the migration of about two million people from Africa and several arabic countries back in 2016. Yet it perfectly describes the situation of most people migrating to Europe. No country actually wants them to stay, so they have to move around constantly.

You could translate this song differenly, mein land would become 'my country', this makes it a nationalistic song ('my country, my waves, my beach, you are here in my country')....
