More excellent "mid-paced madness" from the lad behind Portent and his band of English maniacs. This record stands out to me for its brilliant use of space and tension (especially through its use of the synth elements), which are not typical tropes in "black metal" of this variety or any other. The drumming is incredible as well. I think "Old Faithful" is my favorite, though "Internal Forest" has been stuck in my head since this record came out. Support the band at the link below!

Yep, thoroughly mind blown. Extraordinary melodies, fantastic bass and really unique riffing, something in between some neo-revivalism like Albionic Hermeticism and post-BM stuff like Fluisteraars with, really great balance
And those Tangerine Dream-ish synths on track 5, oof...
Love the outro too. Really some of the very best stuff I heard this year
