A remarkably normal and humble guy off-stage, and a really great guitar player! I'm really digging his country influence in the fingerpicking licks, and I think he may be the first person I've seen to use the notes achieved from tapping the pick on the string past the last fret (e.g. 3:03).
That long palm mute part is meant for him to be drinking something or throwing picks into the audience with his left hand, which is why he was smiling because he had none of that to do lol

I know it might not appeal to a lot of "metalheads" but you should listen to this guy's "country" style playing. He's probably one of the most underestimated [versatile] guitar players on Earth.
